The buffet at the Li Lang Restaurant was surprisingly nice and they had a fairly large variety of choices.

Good breakfast , large variety American , continental and Chinese , can get crowded at times although place is huge , so don't have to wait for long . Shouldn't miss
I used to have Breaksfast here , you pay not cheap but the staff almost all speaks English and you have lot of quality of food . A place to try it .
4 nights with 5 people reference, even my Chinese workers said this was average, does that tell you enough. I stayed more than 5 years night after night in this hotel and suddenly after May 2014 it goes down the slope. apparently the book keeprs...took over management, skim the milk, shave the bacon no slices, pre cut the cheese so it is old when served, take old bread, we must also sell it, small cups foor noodles and congee and cereals, they might take too much. one machine for all customers to make capucino, less fruit, no fresh juices, orange make believe they bought at Butlins UK I think, all by all down the slope, no cmparison to the Sofitel Guangzhou, the Sjanhgri la, the Hyatt, the Hilton a list to fill in, better than shifu Holiday inn, that they still beat, but their price is also higher so they should beat also Sofitel or even it with food. NO CHANCE HERE.More
While the choices were numerous for a western diet, the offerings were somewhat bland and without the familiar anticipated flavor punch. In any event, if staying at the China Hotel, A Marriott and not feeling adventurous enough to venture out, it is convenient.
It isn't special or anything, but the food is great, and the hotel is nice.
The buffet restaurant (+small a la carte menu) of the China Marriott Hotel. The buffet looks good, has a wide assortment, staff is active in keeping everything filled, nice fresh sushi, several cold and warm dishes which can be prepared by a cook as you...wishes and a huge dessert buffet, the food is very good. The atmosphere is not very special, just a very big restaurant, not really cozy or anything and it seems that the staff of the China Marriott Hotel is always eating in this restaurant, probably the management? I think it is more appropiate they eat after rush (opening) hours when there are no guests, it seems strange that they always do this during the bussiest hour of the buffet (and this really comes from much more than one observation).More
