We had to go inside the public market to look for this no-frills cafe and taste a good-old-comforting hot coffee perfectly paired with a really moist and yummy carrot cake. We saw others order a certain bread that looked like a loaf with butter drizzled...with sugar together with their coffee, and we plan to have it next time.More

The go-to place to have breakfast in La Paz Market. Just order a cup of coffee and some bread. Dabest. Will definitely come back in my future visits to Iloilo.

We had an after dinner coffee here during our conference in Iloilo. The coffee shop is trendy and well-decorated. They have an array of unique and delicious coffee and chocolate beverage selections. I liked the hot choco that I ordered and we really had a...fun time at this cafe.More

MADGE CAFE ATRIA Branch I was drawn to the interior design and decor of this branch : chill, homey and quotes are on point. My husband enjoyed his coffee and I on my smooth, thick hot choco! The meals were basic (tuna silog, tocilog) but...prepared well. I like that they include fried banana in the plate; it breaks the savory taste of the meal. Some of their staff are PWDs and hats off to Madge for giving them the opportunity to earn a living. This branch is open from 10AM to 10PM. Telephone : 033 5016673More

After having lunch at Netong's in the market, we had a wander around and ended up at Madge Cafe for coffee and donuts. It's a lovely old cafe that probably hasn't changed much in the last 30 years. The manager/owner was very friendly and accommodating...and we enjoyed our 'kapeng barako' and delicious calamansi glazed donuts- absolutely yummy! If you are in La Paz Market, it is definitely worth a stop at Madge Cafe to see what 'old Iloilo' was like 30 years ago. It was one of the best places we visited in Iloilo this time, so thank you Madge Cafe- you made my day!More

We had a La Paz Batchoy at Netongs so we decided to check madge cafe. The cold caramel machiatto is good at reasonable price. I think people keep coming in this place not only because of food and drinks but also the owner itself. He...keep on smiling and attentive to their customers. Thumbs to the owner👍More

Coffee is the main reason why people love this place, as you can see on other reviews. You can modify your favorite "kape" based on your preference, from the strength, mix, consistency, etc. I'm a coffee lover and I'd definitely exchange a signature branded coffee...with this. I just wish it has a counterpart in Manila.More

Madge Cafe is part of the Iloilo Local Coffee experience. It is the “ in “ tambayan of Ilonggos who are vacationing, who just want to meet old friends, to hear the latest political and social buzz, to let time pass in pleasant conversation and...a cup of good coffee. Retirees meet here often, and spend hours with friends. There’s a classier outlet at the Atria, if you can’t park at Lapaz Market. What goes with the different kinds of coffee? The popular “ bitchokoy” and other native pastries , if they don’t already run out of stock when you come in.More

I visited both the La Paz and Atria branches and both places offer a warm and cozy ambiance. I have only tried their Media Regular coffee tho because once I've tasted it I couldn't get enough of it. There is something about the milk they...used that gives it a lovely flavor. We once asked the staff about the milk they used and they answered "it's a secret". I've tried their local breads and their cakes (from Calea) too which are a good pairing to their coffee.More

I ordered the caramel macchiato. It was soooo goood! And cheap too. This is a nice place to hang out, chat with friends and enjoy their food and drinks which are really cheap. This cafe is found inside the La Paz Market.

A favorite among the locals for many years, this coffee shop has maintained its multitude of loyal customers and is enticing new fans by serving their coffee the same old-fashioned way as before, through a culador. As a visitor, one cannot help but notice that...the people there seem to know each other as well as with the owners of the cafe. Frequent visitors already have personalized mugs there. Would love to have coffee there again when i'm back in iloilo.More

If you're in Iloilo, skip the Starbucks staple and visit Madge Cafe. Mind you though, it does not offer the ambience, the internet, the progressive look. It was there for the longest time because of one thing: to serve coffee and boy do they serve...the best coffee in all of Iloilo! You should not miss their hot chocolate (tablea) as well as it is equally delightful as the coffee. Never refuse the freshly baked twisted bread as it does go well with their coffee and hot choco. If you must not skip breakfast, better drop by Madge Cafe - it's the best place to start your day before you see the sights.More
