For those traveling from the US or Europe, they will find Vikings to be a great value. It has a wider selection than the hotel buffers but a a dramatically lower price.
I have been here before but did not previously try the carving station,...which on this visit featured beef and sausage. The chef cuts them and heats them on a flattop in front of you, so the carved meat is always hot, and that’s important because keeping food at temp is a challenge for some of the large buffets.
Overall, great as always.More
The visual array of food is both beautiful and overwhelming. The variety of food display is enticing and plentiful. However, much of the food offerings are pretty bland for my taste, and the price is expensive. The desserts are good, but one can only eat...so much. Their roast beef was tough and cold. They could do better on their international food offerings.More
We visited Vikings for dinner. I always love seeing the reaction of a Vikings novice when the birthday celebration happens. It’s really something to see, complete with a choreographed dance routine for the waiters (though most of them didn’t seem to enthusiastic.
We went about...7:00 PM on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We were glad to see some American style favorites like leg of lamb, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese, all of which were good.
My rating is a 4 instead of 5 because the Pepsi machine was out of ice and the drinks it dispensed were warm....warm Pepsi is not good. After my third time back hoping the ice would have been replenished, I pointed out to an employee that there was no ice. He said there was ice “over there” and pointed. I went to the spot but still found no ice. I will add on a positive, the San Miguel was cold.More
