Chicken was really good. Also ordered chicken liver! Love both! Very affordable. Chicken oil is heavenly. Make your own version of sawsawan, condiments at your disposal! I LOVE!

Great tasting chicken inasal and other chicken inasal treats like: atay or chicken liver, isul or chicken tail, and others. Great oysters also. Other Ilonggo foods are also yummy.

One of your must-do when visiting a particular place is to dine on their most famous food, and on this note, the Bacolod Chicken Inasal (grilled chicken) and the Cansi (a beef bone marrow soup, much like the Bulalo, but has a soury taste like...sampaloc sinigang). We chose to eat at Nena's Rose at the Manokan Country because it was the No. 1 on Tripadvisor. I must say that their Chicken Inasal is tastier and juicier (than Mang Inasal), although a little tiny in size. Their Cansi is also nice, although I didn't savor sour soup much. And in this regard, I prefer the Batangas Bulalo. Their waiters were responsive and efficient. But the best food that I enjoyed so much at this restaurant is the Fresh Oysters dipped in Vinegar sauce. The only thing I didn't like is that they only have 1 restroom for a big restaurant.More

Place opens at 4:30pm, which is a bummer if you'd like to have some of their food for lunch. They have an open seating space, can seat around 50 total. Food is as is - no soup, no chicken oil, just vinegar and soy sauce....Food is also cooked to order so don't come in here starving, as it will take at least 20 minutes before your food arrives. The atay is creamy and smoky, perfectly grilled. The isol is rich in flavor, smoky, salty, sweetish,fat rendered well so it's not 'nakakaumay'. The gizzard was cooked to the perfect texture and doneness as well. The 'paa' or chicken thigh I ordered, sadly, I could tell from the taste the chicken was frozen and not fresh. Though flavorful and smoky, Aida's still wins the chicken war.More

We visited Aida’s and Nena Rose on different days to compare their Chicken Inasal. I liked Nena Rose better, juicier chicken, more attentive staff.

If you are a tourist, we always say that you were not in Bacolod if you don't eat in Manukan COuntry. Nena's Rose II is well known chicken Inasal in Bacolod. The taste is so great, the owner is friendly and the staff are accomodating....Whenever I have visitor's I highly reccomend Manukan country most likely if they like to eat chicken. Manukan country is located beside SM Bacolod in reclamation area. It is a 5 minute walk from Bacolod Public Plaza and Bacolod Sebastian Cathedral.More

We come to Bacolod at least once in two months starting last 2015. But it’s just this year that we have tried Nena’s Rose II Chicken Inasal. To be fair, their chicken is delicious but to me it’s dry. Still, maybe that’s their original taste.

We ate lunch here - ate chicken inasal, liver, gizzard and talaba. The place was jampacked during lunch. The food was so good and so affordable.

2nd day in Bacolod. After trying Sandok and Calea, we went to try Manukan just across SM city Bacolod, There were lots of people everywhere it is difficult to choose which restaurant stands out. We tried Nena's Rose and ordered chicken, liver, gizzard and oyster....It was good but almost same taste with Manila's chicken deli. Price was ok at php 80/leg without rice but chicken was quite small. It was also extremely hot at 1pm (no aircon)More

Good BBQ Chicken with a good amount of flavour in the coating. But only good not excellent. Would be nice to have a dish to wash fingers afterwards. Service was friendly and casual but reasonably efficient. Good family dining experience with nice authentic flavor of...Philippine BBQ.More
