While I had high hopes for this baking company's flour, I must say I was sorely disappointed with the results in my bread-making endeavors. The flour quality was subpar, leading to a lackluster texture and taste in the bread. It seemed to lack the consistency...and rise I expected from a premium flour. I would strongly advise fellow bakers to look elsewhere for a more reliable and satisfying flour for their bread recipesMore

I feel that some of their dishes are overpriced, considering the size and type of dish being served. Their Ayala Terraces branch is also confusing, the place had so many vacant tables but we werent able to dine in as a group because they dont...have space for groups (despite having 2 floors and the 2nd floor was empty) and they couldnt just move tables in the first floor to accommodate a group of 6. We just couldnt understand why so we found another place that would help and accommodate us.More

The pastries are really good but some staff are racist. Their Danish pastry tastes the same I had in Denmark. They keep asking hows the food with foreign guests and other Filipino guests who looks nice but never check on us. I had even asked...for water while they serving water with other guests right away. Im disappointed!More

One of the many Abaca branches in Cebu. This branch is located at the ground floor of TGU building but was not crowded when I went there on a Monday night. They have discounts at night starting from 10pm to around 4am.

I love when I walk into a place, and the ambiance is great, then the food presentation is great as well as it just tastes awesome! The plus for me is that the lighting the food and the huge glass wall made for wonderful window...light so I was able to get some good food pics! :-)More

Nice spread! The breads mostly had this anise taste. It was interesting. Worth the price for the buffet. Coffee was great. Lots of mango juice. It had a lot of hot food- eggs, sausage, dried fish, spaghetti, fried chicken to name a few. The squash...soup was very good. Downside is they strictly follow the buffet closing time in time for lunch menu.More

Abaca used to be a decent overpriced resto conveniently located in Ayala. Always good coffee and pastries. But beware! If you wander into the menu, you’re meandering into mediocrity at a steep price! The American omelette is almost burned on the outside, yet failed to...melt the chunks of Filipino cheese or Heat the huge pieces of mushroom and ham and bacon. One is forced to do battle with one’s omelette. I’ve never needed a knife for an omelette before! Requested to have a pastry heated with butter on top (as I had done NUMEROUS times before Covid at Abaca. Not possible sir. Manager constantly running about yelling at staff. Bad ambiance. Military style. PassMore

We ate at the Ayala Cebu. Decided to try here because I read good reviews about the cream puff. My friend got the chicken sandwich with tomatoes. It looked like it was good for two if you're not very hungry. The cream puff was served...cold, the dough(?) was no longer soft. I liked the filling though, but not gonna try this again. The sandwich was okay, 2 huge sandwiches with chicken, tomato and lettuce. There was an onion dip and lettuce salad(?). I thought the chicken was dry though. The staff was polite and friendly.More

The service was good this time, the food is just not up to Abaca standards. The seafood chowder was kinda runny and bland with minimum bacon or seafood. Jake's chicken sandwich was short on Nashville hot rub and the creamy slaw was runny and lacked...flavor. The Cesar salad was mediocre at best with minimal bacon and the dressing was watery and tasteless. We won't be going back!More

We eat here now and then. This time was a bit frustrating. When ordering I asked if I could get some Cajun/Spicy seasoning on the chicken which comes on the Chicken Chopped salad. They nicely asked but were told no. Then we ordered a Cuban...sandwich to share (along with 2 salads and fish and chips) so I asked them to please cut it in 4 pieces. They told me that was not allowed either. That is lame!!!!!!! My Chicken Chopped salad was supposed to have blue cheese on it but there was none. It was also supposed to come with Ranch dressing but what came on it was not Ranch as I know it. Plus there was very little of it. Not a good day for this location!!!More

The breakfast that goes with our rooms at the Citadines Hotel is taken at the Abaca Baking Company restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel. Every time we go on trips, we choose hotels that offer breakfast to go with the usual room rates....It’s more convenient and there’s no rush to go out to grab a bite. This time around, we wished that we had taken our breakfast somewhere else. The breakfast spread is modest. The bread section which is usually where my wife starts was passable (no cheeses though). There was the day’s fish and the day’s noodles which was to be on the table the following day, too! There were no local delicacies on the table. The fruit section saved the day for me.More

Finally, visited Abaca Baking Co at Ayala Terraces... i was expecting truly good and soft and chewy bagels and pretzels... blah! I was disappointed, that it was hard (was it sitting on the display for over a day?) I expected it to be chewy and...soft. I don't know what's the hype all about.More

the venue is conveniently located with plenty parking. all staff were super friendly upon entering and i chose an upstairs table . I felt the patrons were well suited to the venue with its "quirky" but enjoyable art works. the crowd were trendy and even...the more aged were smartly dressed, I could tell. my AMERICANO with hot milk arrived quickly, smelt great and tasted even better. I craved a second cup but knew it would spoil the first. The simple bagel with cream cheese was the BEST I have eaten in ASIA, period. Service was professional and quick with smiling staff. To me the venue had a great feel with people chatting, laughing and at one huge table looked like a business presentation in full swing.More
