When we got there, the parking area was cramped. good thing there was a strip mall opposite to it... When we got in, the atmosphere was just casual. The place was something more of a diner rather than a fine dining restaurant. The food we...ordered were marked as recommended in the menu but were not as impressive as we expected. We had the Gambitos and Lamb with harissa spices to start with, which was quite nice... the aioli complemented the saltiness of the shrimp's crust We then had the Pork collar and fideo negro, which to my taste buds was just okay... the pork was a bit dry at first, although the little bit of sauce in the dish was able to counteract the dryness... Some things I would suggest to the owner/management of No. 9 though is to replace all their "kubiertos", plates and glasses... they felt and looked cheap compared to other restaurants of their class. The restaurant interior also needs massive improvement to give that cozy, homey, Spanish feel that it should be like...More

Pros: * Atmosphere * Service * Communication * Keeping the menu simple * Scallop Appetizer * Good pour on spirits Cons: * The flat wooden chairs are rough on the butt. Had to ask for cushion. * The lamb sharing meal had lentils with so...much salt we could not eat all of the dish * The sauce under the chicken meal was also way too salty so just ate the chicken * The leg portion of the chicken meal had blood in it, the rest was fine This place could be very good if they tighten up the ship and taste the food before they serve it.More

We were a party of 3, and came at the suggestion of a friend who lives in Cebu. It's always pleasant to find good Spanish food in the Philippines, and this place is no exception. We had several plates of tapas to share. Portions were...generous. Service was efficient and courteous, and their wine list is also very good. For me this is actually nueva cocina espanola, experimenting with traditional recipes and local ingredients, but the result is quite satisfactory. Highly recommended.More

I accept that Cebu is not the epicenter of modern cuisine but after a day with the Whale Sharks in Oslob and a 4 hour bus ride back, this little gem was just what the doctor ordered! the Pork cheek with clams and chorizo is...a must try! The gin and tonic was genuine and this meal would have been triple the cost in the US. Compliments to the Chef!More

I am on a strict diet. Normally my wife and I split one meal (no appetizer or dessert, ever). We were at No. 9 with our 10 year old son. At, for example, the Luncheonette, the three of us would eat two dishes, withhalf a...plate left over for a "doggie bag." Here we had 3 entres and were all three of us still very hungry. Then went out to McD's drive through and ordered three 1/4 pounders with cheese. The taste of the food is excellent. The quantity is meager. Either order double, or leave and eat a second dinner elsewhere.More

Great family meal for our first night in Cebu. We got a selection of Tapas to share, all delicious and service prompt, good when we were jet lagged with two kids! Amazing chorizo, delicious egg plant chips and tasty lamb. Definitely recommend this.

I've tried their squid ink pasta, I actually forgot the name but it was really good, I didn't expect such dish to be very flavorful. Also, I've tried their Tortilla de Patata, it was very filling even it was small in size, but maybe it...was because of the stuffed potatoes. The sauce and spices used in each dish is remarkable not to mention the plating of each. Though I would mention that if you're really hungry I wouldn't recommend this place since serving would not be enough for one hungry person. This is the type of place where you go to eat GOOD FOOD. :) As for the place, I like coming back to this restaurant because only a few people visits and the place is gorgeous, even the bathrooms are very clean. They only open from 5:30 pm till 12MN and they offer a good range of drinks too. Not to mention they also have a bar at the middle of the place. In terms of service, I actually didn't mind the waiting time given that the food was really delicious. Also, they had really helpful and friendly staff. If you have a car, parking space is available in the area or you may opt to park at the neighboring establishment.More

I can sum up my whole experience with two words: exquisite and scrumptious. Exquisite because from the interior to the food itself are finely done, the exclusivity and coziness of the place really complimented to the food they serve, furthermore, the great service of the...staff really undeniable, you can feel the warm welcome with smiles on their faces as they converse with you. Scrumptious thru the taste you can tell that they really take time to present delightful dishes. It comes to small serving but it's worth the price. The rich taste of each dish would definitely bring you comfort, warm in your belly, and set your mood. Try their pasta with squid ink and the chorizo, you'll love it. A perfect way to treat your partner with a nice meal. We made a reservation in their facebook page you can check it out, they respond to you immediately and make the reservation easy. If you happened to be in Cebu, it's a must visit.More

The venue is great! Private and spacious. The food however is a hit or miss. Either you will love it or you don’t like it at all. The food we love was their honey-dipped eggplant, lamb and squid ink pasta. What we didn’t like was...their porkchop. Their servings are food for 2-3 only at a price for 4-5 in other restaurants. Expensive! Easily can reach 1k/personMore
