We visited this place because it is known for lechon, got disappointed the lechon is not crispy, no sauce, skin is tough, meat has smell and funny taste. Calamare is tough very dry, nohiong is oily. Chopsuey is good, but everything is yerrible especially the...lechon.More

I was slightly disappointed with my visit today. The service was very poor, waited 6 or 7 minutes to be acknowledged, staff were too busy chatting to each other. They only had regular Lechon, but it was Mothers Day so that can be forgiven I...guess. The Lechon itself was very good, absolutely no complaints there. However most disappointing was when I got the bill. The Lechon price was 370 pesos, but the bill came in as 461 pesos with the Restos additional charges.More

I heard that this was the best place for Lechon and they marketed themselves as the best. The lechon arrived and some of it was uncooked with clear bloody meat. When I complained the dim-witted waitress said that it's only some of the pork that...was not cooked properly and she tried to take it away to recook it. I became annoyed at this response and explained that raw pork is very dangerous and don't they know how to cook it. She did not apologise and simply said I couldn't cancel it and I had to pay for it. AVOID THIS Place if you value your health. Terrible restaurant!More

Lechon in this country is widespread, kudos fo Rico’s for making people think that theirs is more special than others. Been to Rico’s mantawi ave and promenade. Promenade staff has dory symptoms where half of your order does not come out but they will remember...to charge it to your bill, while mantawi branch gives you 5 pieces of not edible skin (meaning: soggy) with ur order of 1 kilo.......unless u complain then u get a better crunchy lechon skin. Complaining works in this establishment, so if your the type of person who does not like to chill out and complain and return ur order when having a meal, then this is your place. You definitely will get a good serving. Overall, it’s not recommended. Try another place. Nobody likes stress on meal times.More

Used to be the best lechon in the city now it’s undercooked and the taste has changed. The service isn’t great too (axis branch) , i called an hour ahead to pick up the food only to find out when we arrived that the food...was still being prepared. When we got home to eat the takeout, the meat was still pink and the skin wasn’t crispy anymore. The mandaue branch isn’t better either, too many people and too long wait time for food that isn’t worth it.More

Went here last 30-12-2019. We were told that its the best lechon in Cebu, Philippines. Sad to say it did not appeal to our taste. The meat is bland but the skin is very as in very salty. The dipping sauce I have no idea...what is it, maybe vinegar with butter but not sure. The meat as well is tough not tender at all. Maybe because its been resting too long. As always I would suggest you give it a try we all have different taste.More

I am writing to write a REVIEW cum COMPLAIN relative to my lechon order last New Year (January 1, 2020). placed an order of one whole lechon (medium size) at Rico's axis branch. In the receipt I agreed to pick up the lechon at 11:30...in the morning of January 1, 2020. I arrived at Rico's Axis 11AM. I was told the lechon has not been delivered yet. I informed the supervisor that since I live nearby I will drive back at 1130 when I went back at exactly 1130 the lechon has not been delivered still I waited for ONE HOUR!!! during that waiting period i was told repeatedly that the lechon is on its way Bottomline, RICO'S lechon axis branch made me wait for one hour, spoiled the entire NY lunch of the family and got my mother soooooo disappointed it ruined her day and preparation for lunch for our visitors and what did I get? here's what added insult to injury. 1. The manager PROMISED to call me to resolve the concern. HE DID NOT. I waited and waited and he did not. I finally decided to call the outlet and only then did he explain that he was waiting for a confirmation from the "authorities" of his plan of action. According to him, as a manager he cannot decide on rebates and all 2. I instead received a message from someone from RICO'S commissary, saying they are giving me a 1000 peso GC. But funny thing is, after that message I received a recall message telling me to disregard the previous message of 1000GC 3. I raised this to the attention of the RICO''s axis branch manager. and as usual he said he is sorry and that he will call me again. BUT AS EXPECTED, he did not My question: 1. what kind of service training are you giving your staff? 2. My problem of RICO's making me wait for ONE HOUR was never resolved (except for the apology). Finally, I can conclude that your RICO'S LECHON-AXIS BRANCH SERVICE SUCKS! from not a disappointed customerMore

We visited Rico’s Lechon while we were staying in Cebu. We did not eat in, but bought half a kg for takeaway. Their Lechon is yummy and don’t have strong porky smell. Service is fast and prices are reasonable.

First restaurant we went to when after arriving in Mactan Airport. We have already tried Rico's lechon in Glorietta and we were disappointed. So we wanted to try the one in Cebu hoping it will taste better. We ordered the regular flavor and the spicy....We also ordered ngohiong and adobong kangkong. The lechon was so salty, both flavors. It was like they sprinkled it with salt. And the ngohiong was drippingnin oil. My wife had to wipe it with table napkin first. Not going back to any Rico's lechon again. We have tried a local seller of lechon in Mactan 2 days after. The ones you see along the road selling it by kilos. That tasted way better than Rico's lechon.More

I was so hyped about this place after seeing so many great reviews and even seeing it on the television as Cebu's best lechon. I would not even recommend this place to anyone as I was so disappointed. There are so many better places than...this. I tried it at two different Rico locations and still feel like this is an over rated lechon. Both times I tried the lechon it was served cold or room temperature. It doesn't do anything for me.More

We popped in luggage in tow with an hour or so to kill for our flight. Reviews and our driver all agreed this was the place for us if we wanted to commit to eating Lechon! we ordered 500g lechon, a side of veggie greens,...eggplant salad, chorizo rice and fried rice! Ricos did not disappoint! It was jamming in there - locals and tourists alike! There are a few beggars outside but inside it quite nice, good to see gloves in the preparation of my food - we are nuts about food safety! All in all, a good meal and we were full! The pork was delicious and the accompaniment of eggplant with fresh onion and tomato was lovely!More

Recommended by a local restauranteur, I tried the spicy lechon. The meat was surprisingly moist and the spicy, salty skin was worth the visit. It was so good, I returned the next day to eat it again. Must try in Cebu!
