I did not expect much from them. But I was happy to see that they have plenty of choices and tasty foods. So our buffet dinner was beyond expectations. My kids enjoyed much of the pastry. And I also did not expect from the unlimited service of complimentary red wine which is not usual from other restaurant. One thing unusual though, I did not see ripe mangoes from the fruits section which for me is very important because cebu is known for it. A 5 star rating from me for the wonderful dinner we had with my family.

Spending your money and time in Cafe Marco is worth it. From that sumptuous meal they are offering plus the dedicated service of their staff makes it much warm and brings good outlook. Will definitely go back and back.

We celebrated my mother’s milestone birthday with the buffet lunch at the Sugbusug festival. While the food itself was good (great variety of sushi and kinilaw) we soured on the customer service. They had quoted a lower price by email and in fact, my payment of the deposit was based on this lower price. After paying the deposit, they told me of the mistake and the new higher price. We still went ahead with the lunch because it was for a special occasion. Then at lunch, we found out that had I insisted earlier, they might have been willing to honor the lower price. We had an argument because they did not even flag this possibility or that there was rooom to negotiate. Left with a bad taste in my mouth especially since it wasn’t even a manager who came out to deal with the situation so it was all very confusing and difficult to get a straight answer.

Being given the run-around for bacon is unbelievable but this is exactly what happens on a daily (Day 3 of 5 so far) basis in this outlet. Ask the staff why bacon is not available in the buffet and they say it is not on display, out of respect to their Muslim guests. But how come Pork Salisbury, Porkloin, Ham, etc are all on display? Bacon is available on request they say, but from 6:20 to 7:10, their constant and stupid reply was always “still cooking, 10 minutes pa”.

I’ve been coming to Cebu for over 20 years and I’ve been to the resort buffets and the buffets in the malls, by far the best is Cafe Marco.
The difference is in the quality. The other buffets concentrate on throwing as many items out there as they can, it’s completely quantity over quality, but at Cafe Marco everything is prepared perfectly. They offer high quality meats like a carving station with pork tenderloin, roast beef and chicken. They also make certain that all foods are kept at the appropriate temperature - this is very different than other buffets where food are often room temperature.
One of my favorite things are the unique prepared salads that are available. Tonight those included a cucumber salad, Indonesian Pineapple Salad, Green Mango Salad and Waldorf Salad.
The service is always attentive, friendly and professional. Joe mar (sp) our waiter was outstanding tonight.
Overall, this is a place I can recommend highly. I’ve never been disappointed at Cafe Marco. It is consistently exceptional

Wonderful breakfast
An extra special mention to Jovz. He made our breakfast experience even better by taking the time to arrange sticky rice with fresh mango and Sikwati (fresh Coco) for us. Then some nice conversation.
We'll stay here at Marco polo Cebu again and again because of the service with a smile and the food, even if the hotel is a bit dated.
5* service makes it a 5* hotel.

My experience at the Marco Polo Hotel buffet was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. The variety of dishes offered was impressive, and each one was deliciously prepared. I highly recommend Marco Polo Hotel buffet for a wonderful dining experience with top-notch service.

We enjoyed the wide array of food and desserts. It was all delicious. The servers and waiters (especially Kuya Joemar) were all courteous and attentive. The place is cozy and aesthetically pleasing. When we visited, there was also a live acoustic band, which added to the vibe of the place. Overall, it was a great and enjoyable experience. We will surely come back!

The service was excellent as was the venue. However, the meats, such as the steak and tomahawk, were dry and hard to chew despite the sauce. Some of the food items such as the tempura and sushi was also generally not that good. Some of the other food items are good such as the potatoes and pasta.

Great food, so many options. Above and more service. Yvonne was amazing. Best service I have had in a long time. The staff sang happy birthday to a guest and they were so happy to celebrate her day.

The best food/restaurant all in all in Cebu City. It’s ridiculously biased to people not to rate this restaurant a 5 star. I tried breakfast, lunch and dinner still the quality is superb. I also tried their other 3 restaurants in this place still the quality of food, servers and the cleanliness of the place is top notch. What can you say? Go and try people and compare this restaurant to all other around the entire city and you know what I’m talking.
