I love Happy Hippos and am never disappointed with the food or the service. The owner is amazing and always makes a point to come and ask about our food. The servers are good too. Food is high quality and one of my favorite places to eat in Cebu! A great choice if you’re looking to eat food that is healthy and delicious. The prices are a little higher, but that’s because they’re using high quality ingredients that are good for you! Wi-Fi is available too. Highly recommend!!

Best food in Cebu!

We stayed in Cebu for a couple of days. Coming from Spain and Italy and being used to the Mediterranean diet, we found it very hard to eat properly in the Philippines. We were looking for a place that offered healthy yet tasty food when we discovered Happy Hippos. The food is incredible, the prices are reasonable and the staff is lovely. It was our restaurant of choice during our stay and we are so happy we found it. We tried a lot of options from the menu and they were all excellent, specially the pumpkin risotto. Run to Happy Hippos if you find yourself in Cebu, it's a 10/10! PS; The owners were kind enough to recommend us the best diving spots in Philippines. They even sent us an email with information about the diving centers, contact details and tips to help us. Thank you guys, you are amazing!

Best cuisine surprise in Cebu!

We have been travelling for a month in the Philippines and ended in Cebu for our last day and night. Before we left we had a lunch in happy hippos and was the highlight of cuisine for us. It was so good we went there for dinner as well. Friendly and accommodating staff plus the owners are really taking care of the place and people. If you are a vegetarian try the beetroot or Pumpkin risotto it is 👌🏻 we loved the gazpacho as well. Need to remote work? They even accommodating this by have comfortable couches, plugs and great WiFi. Thank you for having us.

Delicious!

Happy Hippos is delicious! We came after a morning of sightseeing and ordered so much food, and all of it was very tasty. We ate so fast that I forgot to take pictures of everything! The restaurant is very nice inside and very comfortable, and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

Healthy food and internet!!!

About half a year ago when I was still working from home, we had a pre-announced power cut for half a day which meant I won't have internet and wouldn't be able to work from home. I had to go to Streetscape which is a strip mall nearest to my home. A few friends had suggested Happy Hippos because the food was good and internet was decent. I ended up having brunch, had 5 online meetings (yes, with camera on!) and very good, healthy food!!!! The coffee was delish too!!!!

Absolutely top quality food so delicious!! You have to stop in here!! We had the French scramble crossing with a side of crispy bacon. So flaky and delicious with creamy eggs and bacon perfection. Also shared a chicken teriyaki meal. So healthy and a delicious chicken taste! Loved it!

Healthy food. Friendly owners, treating their dishes with love and attention. The teriyaki salmon and chicken are unbeatable! Vegan dishes like Veggie Jambalaya and Buddha Plate - I'm crazy about them! (I'm not a vegan) Best restaurant in Cebu, promise!
