This Cafe and Deli you have to see. It’s made like a store of beautiful traditional things. They serve the best, freshly cooked food and are very kind. The area is also very nice and green. It’s a must when you are in Cebu. Very...nice for Brunch there. It’s a true Juwel and hidden gem. I totally enjoyed this place. Very local but in a exquisit way.More

We stayed here for the Sinulog festival back in Jan but never got the chance to do a proper review! We arrived early to check-in and rooms were being cleaned so we had the chance to explore the lovely little Deli attached to the property....Everything we ordered was amazing & tastes delicious!! Omg! ♥️ I was lucky my bf knew what to order! Our host, Bang was warm & very accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. Our rooms were immaculately clean & had a cosy charm to it. We knew we found a gem in the heart of Cebu! The other reason why we picked Abaseria is it's supposed to be walking distance to Crossroad mall , near to Mayan Mexican Lounge where there is Salsa socials every Weds, Fri & Sun!More

The restaurant also sell hand crafts and some local snacks, it’s fun to shop around while waiting for your meals. The staff are all very friendly and explained local dishes to assist us with menu. It’s in a valley, hard to find, but worth a...visit!More

Right off the butt, I would suggest to order ahead of time which they are willing to do. Everything will be cooked for you so fresh and it’ll take time, so when you get there, you’ll be so hungry and they’ll serve it to you...right away and hot. May I also suggest to start with the Fern salad, then ginatang mongo, steamed okra, adobong bangus belly, adobong talong, crispy roast pork, smoked fish, garlic or plain rice is good, and at the end try the budbud with latik, and durian coffee. But anything there is really good and tasty. They also have a lot of pasalubong and some came from the other islands. They also have some local products & handicrafts, and I was amazed with some historical & storybooks available.More

My wife and I sought a different type of restaurant in Cebu and lucked out when we read about Abaseria Cafe & Deli in Mabuhay, the Philippine Airline magazine. It was everything we were looking for. A small cafe, their food is self produced and...grown on their own farm. We were looking for something with vegetables and they cooked one of the best pinakbets I've ever come across. The Cafe doubles as a gift shop with fairly high quality goods. This isn't your simple souvenir shop as the owner includes indigenous cloths, baskets, bags, utensils & cookware of fairly high quality. These sale items are woven between historic photos and sundry artifacts of the Philippines. I very highly recommend if you have time. It's in an off-street location but well worth it.More

This is a Filipino Restaurant/Deli/Accessories Store. The total number of staff might only be 4 or 5 so expect your food to be a bit late. What we do is if we are on our way, we call to make an order, this way, you...wont be waiting for a long time for your food. Reservation is a must. We always order fried grouper, bacalao with an extra order of tomatoes, monggo soup, humba. Its paco salad with salted egg pairs well with any kind of dishes. Its bangus belly is good also. Prices might be higher compared to other native restaurants but the food is worth the visit.More

This is "lutong bahay" or home cooking in a homely ambiance. They serve Filipino cuisine like all time favorites - lechon kawali, laing and sometimes something exotic like the "tamales" ... It is good to bring your foreigner friends for a taste of Filipino Cuisine...away from the regular fastfood restos. Pasalubong delicacies from Pampanga and Albay are also available.More

I go to Abaseria whenever I am in Cebu, which is not often enough. The owner serves family dishes from her childhood, interpreted with a twist. I have a number of favorites on the menu (the humble monggo soup is delicious, the bangus) but the...restaurant often has new takes on traditional dishes. Try the choco durian and the mango float--even people who don't like durian will love this decadent dessert. The restaurant also has various handicrafts for sale, many of which are procured from all over the Philippines. This is a good place to do one stop shopping if you are pressed for time!More

Everytime i want a taste of comfort, i come here. It is a house turned restaurant full of native products and delicacies. My favorite things to order are the humba, bacalao, monggos, and fried fish. They also serve "binignit" on Fridays, which always runs out...before the day ends! The staff and owners are also very friendly and accommodating.More
