I had the pleasure of attending Angel and Marie's Surfer Retreat, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The retreat is located in the perfect spot, just steps from the beach, offering incredible views and the ultimate surfing environment.

Good: > responsive customer service, very amiable > bagnet > fruit halo-halo (good if you’re tracking your macros) > quick service > just across the road from the beach

the bagnet was soft and yummy. i have two young kids, so i needed some familiar Filipino breakfast - fried rice, egg and whateve breakfast meat/fish. Pancakes were kinda tough, but serving was huge.

Taste: 3 out of 5 Ambiance: 4 out of 5 Service: 2 out of 5 Price: 2 out of 5 Their serving time was so long and not good for tourists who have a definite schedule (like us). We waited for almost an hour for our food to be served. The food was not that good, just your typical grilled food. We tried their liempo and daing na bangus and for our own opinion, it’s a bit pricey (199 per plate) for its taste and quality.

This was undoubtedly our favourite place to eat in San Juan and our yummiest meal in the Philippines. They serve simple dishes and grill food, aswell as some good fish. They recommended us the sashimi (tuna kilawen) which was incredible and the grilled meats are so juicy! The noodles were super tasty too! The banana milkshake was the best I have had in a long time! A MUST try!

Angel and Marie 's restaurant for me is my favorite spot to hangout in La Union. Since the restaurant is own by locals of San Juan, alot of local surfers hangout here. You can hear all the stories of how the area developed from a sleepy fishing town to one of the best surf spots in the Philippines. Food is here is awesome, try their banana pancakes for breakfast, and if possible reserve one already the day before since alot people order it and they can make sure you get yours before the stocks runs out. I usually get their halo halo as well for a afternoon snack.

We went there last May 27-28 and got the fan room for 8pax which costs 4,000php per night w/ free breakfast! Great location as it is only a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and it is along the highway. Their serving at the restaurant is generous. Had an awesome stay and will be back again.

Had dinner and breakfast in this place several times and everything was just perfect. First the owners are are really nice people they take the time to greet you smile and chat with each customer in a nice way. The food is plentiful and tasty with lots of flavours. Their tomato and onion omelette is to die for. Dinner options include an amazing pinkabet(mixed vegetables) and inkiwah (a local dish similar to cheviche which is just to die for). Overall a nice little authentic place in San juan

I've eaten here a couple of times already and it did not disappoint. If you wanna dine in a native "bahay kubo" that serves local food, plus sumptuous banana pancakes (which I highly recommend), then this is the place to be. For a student, like me, it's kinda pricey but I ate here when I visited with my family (so my parents had to pay for me. HEHE) but it's definitely worth it! The ambiance is great, service was great as well. You could even play "sungka" or play with her cute little daughter while waiting for your food. By the way, it kind of takes time for the food to be prepared as it is prepared fresh everytime! Location is convenient as it's just across the main beach and it's easy to find as well. Overall, this is definitely a must-try for a meal at any time of the day. Please do try their BANANA PANCAKES. YAYYYY. They open at 6am on weekends and holidays. I think they open late on weekdays.

So lucky to chance upon a blog on a must try restos in Urbiztondo San Juan La Union. There I have read that they also offer B&B. For the price of P500 per pax per night (fan room) you will have a decent place to stay and a delicious complimentary breakfast worth at least P159. Yes, that's right. Their best seller and a must try is their ham and cheese omelette. Two thumbs up for that. All of us during our whole trip to San Juan La Union cant forget the omelette of Angel & Marie's Place. Their B&B is just behind their resto. Location wise, though not beach front they are just across The San Juan Surf Resort. And almost all the restos/ food stalls are just a step away from their place. Unlike other resorts in the area the flexibility and hospitality of Ms. Marie really is worth mentioning. She allowed us to leave our things as early as five in the morning as we are heading to Tangadan Falls. Kudos to Ms. Marie for a very warm welcome and that genuine smile. Till then 😊

I love Angel and Marie! Their quaint little eatery serves breakfast that's both delicious and a value for your money. My favorites are the omelette meals and the pancake meals. My family and friends love their silogs (fried rice + fried egg + your choice of viand), too! I've been to San Juan countless of times and I always drop by their place for a meal – and I've also stayed at their B&B twice now. I highly recommend them. Angel and Marie are so nice and hospitable!

I understand that they cook food as soon as it is ordered, but 30 minutes is too much for waiting. Overall food price is reasonable. I can go back here often.

We booked a reservation at Angel and Marie's Place (AMP). We got two (2) of their air-conditioned rooms which are good for four (4) persons each, since there were seven (7) of us. Their rooms are simple, spacious and really homey. They have clean linens, with free towels and blankets. Their bathrooms have tissue papers and soaps. They also have a flat screen cable television inside, you won't get bored. Also, the owners personally manage the place, and they are really accommodating. If you are looking for a budget-friendly place, this is definitely the right accommodation to book. Prices are as follows: Fan Room (for 1-2 persons) - P1000/ day Fan Room (for 4 persons) - P2000/ day Fan Room (for 8 persons) - P4000/ day Aircon Room (2-4 persons) - P2800/ day Rates are inclusive of courtesy breakfast, which are very delicious by the way. They also own a restaurant which serves really good food. That's is where you will claim your free breakfast. Also, they don't have a specific time of check-in unlike the hotels. Our stay their was on a 24-hour basis, meaning the time of our check-in will also be the time of our check-out the next day. If you are planning to extend a few more hours, their charge is by hour (Computation: Room Rate/ 24 hours). For additional inquiries and reservations, feel free to contact the owner directly, Ms. Marie, through 0917 723 3253.
