Great family reunion

This was a first family meal in quite some Time and although very quiet for a saturday night the food and service remain at a high standard. Maxs has always been a family favorite and i generally packed so to have it all to ourselves at the weekend was a rare treat. Great chicken and fantastic thick seafood kare kare were on out agenda.

Another very good visit

This branch of max’s is consistently good. The menu is much reduced now, but the interior has been refurbished and the classic max’s items remain and mean i keep coming back. The chicken is head and shoulders above others that try to imitate in the city and beyond. A very good service as usual. The owners do really pick the right people and train them well!

This us a decent chain Filipino restaurant. Food is decent. Service is good. The bakery has good unusual items. A little pricey, but worth the money.

Feeling at home in Max’s cooking

In most of my travels with family and friends, i always plan ahead where we will eat our breakfast, lunch and dinner. When there is a need for you to go back to the tastes you feel at home to, it is so nice to see a Max’s restaurant just around the corner. Now, Max’s menu have varieties to choose from dishes for sharing to rice bowls. What’s you can’t miss is the fact that it has cakes and pastries also so always leave room for 🍨 desserts! Jun 1, 2019

Max is a food fare for my family. Just sad we don’t have one in Houston. We always have a meal every time we go home to Manila or when a place has one like Vancouver. When we go home to Manila, the first thing we do when we arrive is to ook for Max and have a meal. They are our comfort food. My wife’s family celebrated occasions in this restaurant. Highly recommended place to eat when available in the town you visit.

Continues to be a favorite

Recently we have been trying to avoid eating out at places we have already visited but the weather has been bad and we planned to visit happy heart but it was closed so crossing the road to maxs made sense and we were very happy we did. Although Max's is a chain restaurant with the quality of the food you forget it. It's very much a favourite for birthdays - five separate celebrations ongoing last night and the staff sang to all of them. Service is good and but food is fresh cooked so can be a little slow. Staff were only too happy to supply us several times with boiled water. The menu is tweaked regular with their chicken the traditional star and I still think it's the best chicken in philippines. Oriental fresh lumpia full of veggies and with a sweet sesame and peanut sauce was fresh and tasteful. And the fried pork and shrimp sinigang was full of tomato taste and possibly the best sinigang I have had. We also go chicken sisig and lumpiang shanghai to take out. The branch also has an instore bakery.

They will always have good food and great services. Max’s is a very great place to eat at. The staff were also very nice and accommodating, so i highly recommend :)

Stinky oil

We went for dinner. Max is my favourite but i was a bit disappointed cos the oil they used to fry chicken and fish was quite stinky.

When will I learn.

Ordered the beef tapas, NOTE to self, only order beef where it is a specialty or better still throw it on the BBQ at home. Everyone else loved their dinner, family meal for 4, special this March for 999 pesos. Roasted whole chicken, boneless bangus, lots of vegetables and of course white rice. Gulaman drinks included, plus 2 senior discounts were given, no issues. I will go back again.

will not go there again, disgusting...

good Filipo food as usual, which we crave when away from home or can’t cook at home. Crispy pata, kare kare, Grilled seafood, fried chicken...went there with family of 8 in November 2017. the staff were disgusting and shameless, they kept coming to ask if we really ordred what we ordered. I had the impression that the staff were worried @ the bill, if incase we can’t afford to pay. For a $100? Yet they were all maam n sir on the caucasians on the table next to us, they just lost a Pilipino patron in me.
