Last year we celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday party here and since it was successful, we decided to celebrate our surprise 70th birthday party for our Lolo here again at Yanagi Restaurant. And on behalf of our family and friends, we would like to express...our gratitude for helping us make our surprise birthday party, once again, successful and memorable. First of all, the place was suitable for our intimate party. Lightings, sounds, and ambience were perfect for us. Second, the food was excellent, really an authentic Japanese cuisine. They have a wide variety of sushi, maki, salad, etc. They use high quality ingredients. Definitely, all of us went home with a full stomach. Lastly, my Lolo’s surprise party would not be successful if it weren’t for the staff. All of them were very accommodating and helpful to us not just on the party itself but in the preparation as well. Their service is consistently of high standard and we would like to mention Ms. Rhina Valledor for her professionalism and patience in answering all our queries and helping us all throughout the party. We really had a great time at this restaurant. Indeed, this party is one for the books. My Lolo loved the party and the food (perfect combination). He can’t get off of his smile through the evening. All in all, this restaurant is truly commendable. This is the perfect place if you are looking for an authentic Japanese food. It is a value for money. Again, my deepest gratitude to Yanagi for accommodating us. All of us were delighted to celebrate it here and we wouldn’t have it any other way. -Ann Eunice TanMore

Best restaurant experienced in the Philippines in a month. Best is the buffet that runs Fri & Sat, and maybe Sunday

We were the first customers to arrive. We were greeted politely and led to a couple table near the buffet. Venue is dimly lit. Selections are not as varied but there is enough for each category. Salads, Appetizers, Soup, Teppan, Maki, Fruits and Pastries, etc....Tempura is instantly served per table and you can request for more if you wish. Chefs and service crew are very friendly and prompt. Food is excellent but I find the buffet experience a little expensive than what meets the eye. And since area is dimly lit, just double check your bill. Although it was an honest mistake and the staff were apologetic, it would be too much hassle if I did not notice the error. It should be easy for the cashier to see that the amount bloated to P22,000++ for a couple's dinner! To think we were the first client, at plain view of the cashier and the resto is not too busy that time. Good I wore my eyeglasses and pointed it out so they can nullify the first transaction which I already signed. I just reminded the cashier to be more prudent. A snooty customer would have given her a hard time for that kind of error. Maybe it would also be best that the server reads out to the customer their bill and the card/cash they received as an SOP to prevent similar scenario.More

Monthly I eat here in Yanagi. When I crave for tempura in Manila, I eat here. I always stay in Midas so eating here is very convenient. I always order here Yakimeshi, tempura shrimp or prawn cashew breaded and beef tepanyaki. Their chefs are very...friendly. I also recommend try their green tea ice cream for dessert!👍🏼More

Best Japanese buffet ever! Everything I ate is really delicious. Especially the beef and salmon teppan. Dont expect a wide-array of food though.. here it's quality over quantity.

Not a fan of Japanese food but i'll make...an exception. Around 7pm people started comin in. Foreigners and locals. The place is kinda pricey but it's worth it. Will definitely come back fosho.More

If you are looking for an excellent quality Japanese food , this restaurant at the Mezanine floor of Midas Hotel is highly recommended . A must -to-try is their buffet during weekends. Sushi , sashimi , variety of maki , tepanyaki , udon , tempura......name it and they have a wide spread to the delight of anyone's eyes & stomach :-) Ala carte menu is also available should you happen to visit on a weekday . Just to take note that they open during lunch & dinner time only (closed by mid afternoon). The ambience is conducive for business meetings as it is a quiet place and there are private rooms should you need a bit of exclusivity . With family or friends? Still a good bonding experience , coz the service crew & chefs are always willing to serve with a smile . Tried this resto several times and I just kept coming back .More

We had a dealgrocer voucher but we did not expect that the restaurant serves quality Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, ika teppanyaki, beef, chicken teppanyaki and sukiyaki. All dishes are to be prepared per your request. Tempura is served per table request. Also, you can...pick wasabi, black sesame, red bean and green tea ice cream for desert. I really love the ice cream flavors. However, no hot tea or coffee is free.More
