Can't go unless you'll spend 500 and above pesos for buffet meal. Pricey and the food are not that special.

Had a pre-birthday dinner here with my family. I chose this place because three of my family members are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), and they crave Filipino dishes. I ordered the three variants of the Fiesta Boodle which were good for 12 people. We enjoyed!...The taste of the dishes included in the platter was worth our drive from Angono to Pioneer Mandaluyong. The steamed rice is cooked how it best should be. The meat was tender and flavorful. Seafood are mouthwatering. Love the sides too like ensalada. Bagoong was almost my night's choice for the win if only I had more green mangoes :)))) I love green mangoes and fermented shrimp :) My 3-year-old niece and my 8-year-old kid also enjoyed the night. The custard cupcakes were their favourite. As expected, waiters make you feel at home. They are professional, courteous, attentive, and always with bright countenance. We noticed the servers on my birthday were very good-looking too lol It's my 5th time in Lola Maria and I am glad I still have a fun and unforgettable experience. I'll definitely return soon!More
At The Legend Villas, guests are provided with a genuine taste of hospitality and comforting flavours Filipinos are known for. Guests dining at the hotel’s restaurant, Lola Maria, are embraced with the same warmth and friendly atmosphere that can be found in Filipino homes. Aside...from the service, diners are spoiled with a great selection of a la carte and buffet offerings with an interesting line-up of festive, home-style dishes from different parts of the Philippines. Personally, the food here reminds me of my grand mother’s cooking that I can’t wait to come home to. My top picks for you to try: Singang na Lechon, Tsokolate de batirol, kakanin, sisig, grilled vegetables, Chef’s fried rice, baked tahong and sotanghon. I was craving for filipino food and they have it at breakfast. The pancake was freshly cook which was so good too.
the food is nice and the service is the best, will try it again. The hotel will provide a complementary breakfast to all the guest.
Availed of my complimentary buffet breakfast at Lola Maria and it was good. Food was complete, they have different dishes, they have bread, kakanin, etc. :)
Start with a nutritious veggie or seafood salad and soup at its best. Choose a variety of delicious and well selected cooking recipes of vegetable, fish, chicken, pork, beef and others. Take your choice of juice, native desserts, fruits.. and lastly mix your own "halo-halo" with..."sagu", banana, langka, beans etc or take a cup of brewed coffee to relax you. Wow, what a way to eat your dinner in a homely restaurant.More
The best part of our stay at The Legend Villas was our lunch at their restaurant called Lola Maria's Restaurant. While the breakfast spread for the buffet was descent enough (it was not spectacular as there were limited choices and there were no standouts except...for the adobo), the lunch we had was surprisingly good. We didn't go for a buffet but instead ordered their Bagnet and the Inihaw Platter which included a nice helping of rice, grilled seafood, pork, chicken, and vegetables, plus what tasted like seafood sinigang. Overall, it was a great experience.More
We visited this retaurant, they served common Filipino foods on the buffet and it was an amazingly good taste of affordable foods, from the native Filipino starters to thr main course up to the dessert counter, all are good taste.
The food at Lola Maria’s will remind you of home. After spending a long time in the Visayas, the taste of traditional Luzon cooking in this restaurant has me going crazy! Their Kare-Kare was scrumptious and will probably be my favorite. Other treats that I...loved were their crispy kangkong, their salad options which include traditional vegetables such as okra and talbos ng kamote which you can smother with bagoong. Their dessert bar had options to make halo-halo, and the kakanins were particularly delectable. Will definitely consider bringing my family here cause I have only eaten in this place because of work.More
EXCERPT: My family and I proceeded to Lola Maria's Restaurant (the hotel's in-house restaurant) for breakfast. Gave the the hotel staff our stubs and told her that I will pay for one more stub and charge it to our room. She said ok. But what...followed after that is the worst hotel experience of my life----- the gifl (hotel staff) TURNED TO MY BROTHER (WHO WAS WEARING A SLEEVELESS SHIRT-SLEEVELESS AND NOT SANDO JUST TO BE CLEAR, AND SHE ACTUALLY TOLD HIM TO CHANGE INTO ANOTHER SHIRT! Apparently they have a DRESS CODE in their restaurant that the front desk people did not inform us about it upon check in! And honestly, I wasn't expecting a dress code since THIS IS NOT A 5-STAR HOTEL, and for crying out loud, we are only going to eat breakfast! Its not like we have to dress up for the occasion! And even if we had to because it is hotel policy, then your people should have informed us right upon check in! Or at least have a signage at the your restaurant door that says come in your Formal attire or something. Or state clearly the attire that you prefer because honestly, I have been to 5-star hotels and the hotel staff won't send away guests in sleeveless shirts and tell them to change into another shirt before having their breakfast!! DO YOU REALIZE HOW HUMILIATED MY BROTHER WAS WHEN HE WAS SENT OUT???!!! DO YOU EVEN REALIZE HOW YOUR SO-CALLED HOTEL POLICY ALMOST RUINED THE FAMILY HOLIDAY THAT I PLANNED TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY AND MY NEPHEW'S??! It was lucky for you guys that my brother was a level-headed guy and still changed into another outfit and still joined us for breakfast! He almost did not come back because he was already humiliated! It was lucky for you also that I did not want to ruin our moment further by making a fuss about this experience. Oh Fyi, I asked your head waiter to please at least approach my brother and apologize because it was rude of them to send him out, and guess what NOBODY apologized for that experience. I went to inform your front desk personnel about this experience and told them that if they have a dress code, then they should have informed us upon check in! And quite frankly I feel that your hotel staff does not really care, because one, I wasn't hysterical or hard to handle, and two "it was your hotel policy". I HAVE ONE ADVICE, PLEASE NEVER SEND AWAY ANY OF YOUR GUESTS TO CHANGE INTO ANOTHER SHIRT WHEN THEY HAVE ALREADY ENTERED YOUR RESTAURANT. IT IS RUDE, INCONSIDERATE AND HUMILIATING! PERIOD. 6. Your buffet breakfast is nothing special for a price of P400+ per person. As I remember there was bread, cereal, rice cakes, corned beef, vienna sausage, and other viands that I did not bother getting. Coffee and hot choco are ok but not outstanding. Quite frankly, the only saving grace for the breakfast experience was the cheesecake and the birthday song that your waiters served for my nephew because its his birthday (and I requested for it). Good thing that he liked the surprise and the cake. And even then, I had to delay giving the signal to serve the cake because the family's mood has been severed because of my brother's experience. https://www.tripadvisor.com.ph/ShowUserReviews-g298451-d628356-r546007579-The_Legend_Villas-Mandaluyong_Metro_Manila_Luzon.html#More
All the Filipino food you can think of is right here. From the breakfast buffet to lunch/dinner buffet.
We were here for breakfast only and did find most of the foods we like to eat. The kakanins are the best!
We checked in at Legend Villas for staycation with former officemates. It included breakfast buffet. The have several options from all time favorite breakfast, cereal, bread, cheese platter, create your own omelette and a lot more. Had issue with the utensils though, my friend's was...used and wasn't replaced. We had to request a new set.More
My family loves having breakfast outside during Sundays so we were pleasantly surprised to find Lola Maria as an option. For the price of the buffet which is less than 10USD, the spread is decent with salad greens, fruits, bread, noodles and arroz caldo and...a selection of meat and vegetable dishes with fried rice. My teenagers normally do not appreciate local food but the ambiance made the food delectable and the whole Sunday morning breakfast a pleasurable experience. Definitely will go back there.More
