HEAT Restaurant is one the best buffet resto here in manila from Mad for Lobster to Wagyu night now their new Hydroponics display in the buffet. I really love making my own salads, thats why when i saw it I just cant help my self but to give it a try, with the different dressings and lettuce it was perfect and of course the good service kudos for that. From the receptions area to the waiting staffs and to all the chefs they are all self mannered when it comes in good service....

The scrumptious food which can be found at the Heat buffet really contributes to the worth-while experience. The different food options presented in the organized layout are very pleasing to the eye. I can say that all the choices shown are worth eating because of its richness in flavor and extraordinary tastes which bring about an unorthodox yet splendid experience.
Added with the already delicious food, the staff and their services are as good as the food that they serve! Whenever ordering, each of the personnel would always be serving with a smile, always happy to help. Their services are very convenient for every patron, male or female, old or young.
Therefore, I firmly believe that anyone who would dine at this restaurant would surely come back. He who dines will not only get to taste the splendid food, but he would also be able to witness the Heat’s service with a smile.

Ambience:
Sunday is horrendous. I wouldn’t recommend this day if you want less stressful breakfast. Avoid family day because this restaurant is so busy. Some kids and parents were still on their PJ and slippers, a let down really.
Staff:
A mixture of characters, I personally like ALEXUS, he delivered excellent customer service during my stay. Sonia and Angel were equally attentive to my needs. The staff were polite.
Food:
Wide variation of food. I personally asked for soy milk BUT they do not have 100% cocoa so do not ask for it. Maybe Shangri-La should consider VEGAN food too.
Cleanliness:
Acceptable. So far I didn’t have any issues.
Overall experience:
A real Shangri-La way that must not missed.
Alexus keep us the good work.

You get high quality food, excellent service, and great ambiance. Servers are prompt when you need them, food is very fresh as expected, and the overall feel of the place is great. Our server, Joemar, was particularly great at helping us with our needs, especially with food service. Overall, will recommend this place for the occasional splurge especially on special events (we visited here for a birthday). Side note, they have a very special treat for you when you tell them it's your birthday :)

Both had opportunity to eat breakfast and lunch because we were staying at the shangrila hotel. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices such as Chinese, Filipino and western cuisine. Although crowded during peak hours, just be early. Lunch was less crowded and the buffet was more varied and a bit confusing on what to eat as everything seemed delicious and well prepared. Have to go here really hungry to enjoy most of the dishes. A very good buffet restaurant.

Been a long time since we last dined here but our recent trip to Heat still lives up to its name as one of the best luxury buffets in the Metro. The dinner range of cuisines and the refined curation of dishes offered make for a good value for money spent here. It was really obvious this 5-star joint gets the best pick in seafoods. We loved it and made it worth the price per head. Totally fresh! However, some improvements are due—crowd could get pretty dense with the given dining space, some spots aren't very social media-worthy. Desserts weren't top-notch but we were too full to be bothered for more anyway. Generally a good experience that anyone could still look forward to should they find themselves in the vicinity. Out of all the attendants, cheers to that guy Farold for being polite and focused on attending to our needs. Would have been nice if the other servers didn't interrupt our dining just to bug us for review mentions.
Let's see if there will be improvements as the pandemic eases more and more. Looking forward to them turning up the heat! Can't wait to see new things from this iconic place.

Great for family gathering
The hotel's buffet is a culinary delight! With a diverse spread of delectable dishes, it caters to all tastes. From savory appetizers to decadent desserts, there's something for everyone. The freshness of the ingredients shines through, and the attentive staff ensures a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance is elegant and comfortable, making it suitable for both business meetings and family gatherings. The only drawback might be the slightly higher price, but the quality of the food justifies it. If you're looking for a satisfying dining experience with a wide variety of choices, this buffet is a top pick.

Food was great and our server was pleasant!
Poor Corporate Values!!!
We dined with our father who can not eat so much. We requested that we just order from the menu or from the nearby restaurant within the hotel but the Managers declined our request. In the end, we couldn’t leave our father behind. He ate less than a cup of rice and a matchbox size fish in a soup! They still charged us the buffet price less senior citizen discount, ₱2,100/+!!!

During my stay I used the Heat restaurant for breakfast. Since the hotel is a very busy one of course the breakfast is also crowded. There are so many staff working around walking talking. You can’t consentrate on your meal because of the noise of the people the music (which needs an improvement can be annoying) and the noise of the cutlery and plates. The place is cold. I usually have earl grey in the morning but they only have English breakfast tea. I don’t know the brand but unfortunately it’s not tasteful. Oh btw they dont offer freshly squeezed juice they say it’s additional which is absurd.
But on the other side Some fruits you have to ask from the waitress they give it for free such as mango and avocado.
The sweets corner has to be improved because the pastries are not as good as they look.
I would like to thank here to Ed whom never skips serving me Avocados which is the best thing ever during breakfast (Thanks Ed)
And also the lady who I don’t recognize her name she always remembered my order thanks for her efforts.

We had a meeting with a partner company and we requested for a private room and for vegetarian options. Everything was so seamless, from booking the seats with Tina from the Guest Service Center, made sure that our request for a private room was secured, and even reserved us seats at the lobby lounge in case we arrived too early for the buffet dinner. Tina Docallos the director of F&B made sure that our vegetarian/vegan/indian friends had enough options and communicated everything to the kitchen. Thank you to everyone, thank you chef Louie and Freddie for being so kind at the buffet, and even bringing vegetable samosas to our table personally and voluntarily. Asian hospitality at its finest.

I normally don't leave a review but it seems that eating here at HEAT Shangrila Edsa Mandaluyong needs to be commended.Although the number of food may not be as extensive as other buffets, it has Chinese,Japanese,Singaporean,Thailand,Filipino, American dishes, most seafoods would be cooked fresh for you to eat and all are flavorful. One thing also that's good is that all waiters/waitresses are very attentive most specially "Gab". All our needs (me ,my family and friends) were taken cared of. They even anticipate needs of everyone. Everyone had a very enjoyable feast.

The food here is better than the makati branch with lots of choices.
The seafood especially the gigantic prawns are so fresh!
Cons: Unlike the makati branch, we were not informed that the free flowing ice tea and lemonade were not free at all so we ended up paying an additional 500+ pesos just for that. Sad.

the food buffet was not warm enough. selection just okay. but the service was superb specifically the one attending our room/group named Emerson and his colleague (semi skin head) i didnt get the name. He initiated reccommending food to be served and our glasses were always refilled with water. thank you so much for making us feel VIPs. will come back again for the nth time

The ambiance is great, the servers and clerks are all friendly, approachable, and helpful. There's a huge variety of foods that you can choose from. Whether it's for cheat day or for diet. Everything tastes fresh especially their oranges and the green drink, Chris, a server suggested to me during breakfast. He was insightful and jolly. And always there to assist you when you need help. Overall the experience at HEAT buffet was easy and fun. It's an 11/10 :))
