Sarsa is a small sized restaurant, other words a bistro, that serves your familiar Filipino-Negrense cuisines. Headed by Chef JP Anglo, who further manages are number of Sarsa branches, focuses on presenting cuisines that embodies Filipino heritage with new dishes every six months. Unfortunately, you won’t see him cooking in the kitchen. I’m no expert on Negrense food, however through my experience in visiting Sarsa, it was not all too far from Filipino cuisines I have grown up eating...

We have guests from our headquarters in Japan and decided to let them have a taste of Filipino Food.
Reservation was made and we pre-ordered the food a day before to save time since our guests have meeting & site visitation after lunch.
1. Taste : Good, but I have tasted better.
2. Service : Poor.
2a. A staff introduced himself as our server for that day but only saw him serve us twice. Have to call the attention of other servers for our food to be served.
2b. Rice came halfway through our meal.
2c. Followed-up dessert and we were asked what dessert we would like. What was the point in “pre-ordering”?
2d. Water was not even offered, we have to ask for it halfway through our meal.
To sum it up :
*Taste is good but a bit pricey considering the service.
*Service : Improvement should be done. Maybe add more servers?

The place was pleasant, but the food did not live up to hype. Did enjoy the lumpia (the dip was tasty) and the sisig (but then, how does one screw up sisig?). But the Bistek Pinoy (I think that was the dish’s name) was way too salty. The staff were cordial, but service was very slow.

Chef Anglo, the owner, should put more attention to improve the quality of the food in his restaurant. There was nothing special about the batchoy- a house specialty- the broth was watered down and the noodles were hastily put together with the other bland meats; the kare kare sauce was too sweet for my taste, the pork barbecue skewers were ok , and so was the palabok. But for my money, I’d go elsewhere for the above dishes.

On my recent visit to Manila, I was so looking forward to eating at Sarsa. I follow chef Anglo on YouTube. It was a very disappointing experience. All the food I ordered was over salted. Feels like whoever is in the kitchen does not even bother to taste the food anymore. Maybe chef Anglo should check on the food when he is in country. Very disappointed. I am also an ilonggo, and I've had good ilonggo dishes, but Sarsa's was not one of them. Again, very disappointing.

One and done!
Ambiance: NICE
Food: Go eat in other restos known for chicken inasal. There are a lot of kare-kare restos that is way better and worth the price! Molo soup didn’t taste like molo soup at all. 3 sticks of isaw for 300+!!! Nothing special abt crab tortang talong and luglog as well. Don’t expect too much on the pork sisig.
Overall: not worth my trip to Makati. You can always try and be the judge. 😊

The surf-inspired interiors is such vibe. It feels like a hip tropical resort amidst the concrete jungle. We got the sisig, tortang talong, liempo q, and molo soup. I especially love the liempo among the selections. Really hits different when paired with garlic rice.

Spent the birthday of my dear friend at Sarsa in Rada. Sounds cliche but the food there is great. Simple pinoy food but it tasted like no other. These words do not justify how superb all the food that we ordered. Try bringing a foreigner there, the best of 🇵🇭 cuisine.

Good food, friendly service, especially from our waiter Vince. Loved the bangus lumpia, kansi, chicken inasal and halo halo.
Parking is limited, so best to carpool with your group

Among our ordered, we were satisfied with Inasal Sisig and Crab Tortang Talong especially on its presentation. Bangus lumpia and Palabok Negra (squid ink) taste good, unlike grilled sinigang salmon that is not a good suggestion, it has a twist for an ordinary sinigang since salmon was grilled, but taste didn't level up to our expection, much more with sizzling kansi which is really not good for a value.

This is the first time I ate here. We had at least one (1) balikbayan, and we had to get separate tables. The food was wonderful-elevated Filipino food-with wonderful service.

Smart casual ambience. Lots of diners, staff are very polite and in semi formal attire.
Thai choices are very extensive , from the vegetables, fish , scallop, shrimps and even fruits .Liked the chicken green curry, crabs chicken inasal , noodles, tom yung soup, pandan crabs . Delicious. Food well plated. Cuisines were on the inventive side. Good job and training by chef Anglo

The isaw appetizer was good. However it went downhill from there. The chicken inasal, adobong pusit, laing, and tortang talong were all very salty.

Why not try again? My 3rd time to dine here in 3 years’ time (once a year if i am not mistaken), unfortunately food and service did not improve. Food served were not as hot. Soup kansi-disappointing. How can you go wrong with grilled pork?! Where’s the coconut tste? We ordered eggplant with sardines, crispy bachoy, crispy dilis, sinigang fried chicken. And the winner of them all-CRISPY Dilis!
Please rethink everything including service. Servers need to be more alive and enthusiastic as well.
