One of the best serving Filipino food. Comfort food is what I call it. Dishes from the Romulo kitchen. A must place to dine in.

Good food ,portions are good for sharing, waiters are attentive. We ordered dessert did not expect the cake was a whole small cake for 1 person. But it was delicious 😋
Good service and decent filipino foods. 5/5 I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.
I want to be fair. We arrived later about 7:30 they close at 9pm. We ordered simple. Soup, rice and adobo chicken/pork. The soup was wonton style. One wonton hiding in the bottom. The rice cold, the pork and chicken cooked to the point no moisture,...and a shot glass literally of sauce. No kidding a shot glass of sauce on the side Might of been nice to have adequate sauce for the moisture free meat. Came in just under 1000 PHP. Won’t be backMore
Decent Filipino food in a nice modern setting. Good for group gathering. Situated in the One Bonifacio High Street mall which is next to Shangri-La hotel. Will come back if I am back to Manila next time,
Was invited here, 10 on table and they booked a private room. They ordered beef salpicao ( olive oil could not taste garlic, extremely small portion); crispy crablets( tiny crabs was great) Cameron rebosado (like shrimp tempura) crispy pata ( fried pork leg ?);Kare Kare...( no oxtail);garlic rice, vegetable canton (noodle); some spring roll dish; sinigang (tamarind soup again no enough for 10., crispy squid. You had to order 2 of each viand;desert was deep fried tube rolls (great and hot. Would have been nice if the food was served hot and saver well. Service was okay.More
Met up with friends in this restaurant that opens 6pm, they also open lunchtime. Ordered native foods: lechon kawali, garlic rice, pansit puti, gambas which were all for sharing and delicious. The place was full even the extension area and this is close to offices...where people eat lunch/dinner so check their opening hours. They also have an enclosed area for private parties.More
If you want a fresh way of looking at Filipino dishes, head to Romulo Cafe at Jupiter. This place has got the formula to delight its local clientele. Awesome interior design rich in black and white accents. Classy look, giving diners a relaxed atmosphere to...enjoy dinner in the company of family. So many delicious items in the menu. I highly recommend you to start with their pomelo salad and fish balls which comes in sweet sour and vinegar-based sauces. Brings back lots of childhood memories of hawker-style fish and squid balls. Pinoy nachos is made of kamote and taro chips with white cottage cheese. Also a good starter. For mains, order baby pusit in garlic and flying tilapia which is deep fried and comes with 3 special sauces. Best when paired with spicy tuyo rice. One order is good for 3-4 persons. For desserts, halo halo is an all time favorite. You have to try it. Another winner is suman or fried rice cake. Guaranteed to satisfy your cravings for pinoy food. Will definitely be back.More
Visited the Romulo Cafe with my wife and work colleagues for the first time. Street parking is tight, but there are people on hand to assist with that. The premises itself is very clean and tidy and the black and white decor is interesting. Service...was very good - prompt and polite. Filipino Cuisine was modern Filipino and very tasty. The wine list is international, but for fans of Aussie reds, there was a bottle or two from the Barossa Valley at acceptable prices.More
I liked the place very much. This is a very friendly and peaceful environment with historical pictures on the wall..The foods are great too. I tried many ones from the menu and I loved their crispy crablets and carbonara. Always the best quality.
Our local host took us to this well established Filipino restaurant where they had pre-arranged a selection of various specialities. The food was very good and something new to me. All in one a great local experience which I would recommend to any visitor to...Manila.More
The selection is good without being too broad and the good is quite brilliant! I found the staff to be friendly as well. All in all a very very pleasant meal and evening!
This beautiful restaurant is nestled in a duplex amongst skyscrapers in Makati's busy Jupiter Street. Their walls take back to olden times with black and white photo of Romulo, a Filipino diplomat to the US. With beautiful settings, and also a small open air garden,...the authentic Filipino food they serve are comforting.More
I planned my husband’s 70th birthday celebration there while I was still in California. With the help of a friend recently retired (had worked in CA ) and now staying in Manila,we were able to execute the plan on a rush-basis. They e-mailed their menus...to me-chose among the lists instantly, paid the required 50% of the cost-they don’t accept credit cards so I borrowed cash money from my friend, paid off the rest of the amount on the day of celebration. I love the ambiance of the restaurant and the foods are superbly tasty!!! I recommend that for those who are out of state/out of town that you make your reservation at least 3 months early. We were just lucky that we were spared 2 venues on the same floor hence we separated family,common-friends and friends from work . It was stressful enough inviting all these people while we were still in California but finding an acceptable venue like Romulo’s Cafe was twice the challenge. The party coordinator Reine and my friend Vangie were real angels to me. The friendly, respectful and efficient staff really made the occasion smooth and enjoyable one. I can’t thank them all enough!!! I hope to enjoy the food more next time we visit Makati . Thanks again!More
