A grilled cheese sandwich took them over an hour to make. Placemats were stained in every available table. The grilled cheese was tasteless and the "salad" was just lettuce with vinegar. After PETA’s vegan dessert contest held in Makati Ave., we were so hungry and visited Corner Tree Cafe, located in the heart of Makati Ave, for dinner. At the onset, we were greeted by the amosphere of the cafe which was cozy though a bit...dark from average lighting. Waiter took our orders, but took them about 35 mins to serve them. The vegetarian foods serve in this cafe were acceptable though a bit pricey for their taste. If there was any redeeming factor, that should be their arroz ala cubana. It tasted good and justified its high price. My daughter wasn’t so happy with their spaghetti. You can see it from her smile while eating it, in the pics attached. She finds it dry. CR was located outside the cafe. Not so convenient. Staff took 15 mins to give us the bill, even though there wasn’t so much people around that time. Couldnt say the cafe was bad nor good. This was my second visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was pretty much the same as the first. The menu is large with many choices. However, the food is just average and the portions tend to be on the smaller size. The prices are above...average though and adding another 20% to the bill makes the meal even less worthwhile. I have learned my lesson and will not return for a third time.More

You’ll come here wanting to order most things on the menu. This place is a great choice for the veggie traveller. No it’s not the cheapest place to eat but I believe the quality of food makes up for it. Also it’s okay to treat...yourself, trust me it does not break the bank. The lentil soup is gorgeous, really fragrant and yummy. I had spaghetti with broccoli and pine nuts (super boring I know) but it was done beautifully and it was what I was craving! My partner had the Sunday lunch and his Nut Loaf was really interesting. The only downside to this place is that I felt we were rushed out. We had Sunday lunch at Corner Tree and found it to be just okay, not special. The food lacked taste or even good seasoning and the service was not very good - things kept being forgotten and we often had to ask for things more...than twice. I would say the restaurant is okay if you want vegetarian food but otherwise, not really worth going out of one’s way for dining.More

This restaurant is situated just next to my office and I am so happy I tried this today Very good food and juice Will for sure be back again for more lunches ! Decided to go for a healthy lunch at the Corner Tree Cafe. This was not my first visit. The cafe was almost empty when I arrived around 11:45 AM. Wanted a light meal because of my stomach upset the day before, The waiter suggested the..."Veg Nut Roast" and I followed his advice. He came back from the kitchen quickly to inform me that the dish was not available. I changed to "Spaghetti with Broccoli and Toasted Pine Nuts". Really liked the dish with some vegan cheese sprinkled on. I must say though that if you are really hungry, this will not satisfy you. I did not want to order an additional side dish or a dessert this time, as a result I was hungry again just over an hour later. All in all, I found the price (P335) for the dish to be high for what you get. Service is good and friendly. The cafe itself is pleasant but not really comfortable. When you have a business lunch of over an hour, the solid wooden chairs will make you aware that you were there the whole afternoon. As a vegan, I want to go back though...More

Very nice ambience. Taste is above average. Unfortunately portions have become so small that we ordered 3 dishes and went back feeling hungry. This was not the case 1 year ago when they served decent portions. Disappointed.

Waiters looked bored,no attempt to engage guests, no warmth, no smile. Food was better than last time but AGAIN I spent good taxi money to come here (Parañaque to Makati is a journey!) I used to manage one of the most successful Starbucks in UK...and I know what excellent customer service looks like. If I wanted to train my staff and show them how NOT to deliver excellent service they could always visit the Corner Tree cafe. Poor. Rubbish.More
