Aruga Café by Mesclun at Aruga by Rockwell brings an excellent dining experience to Makati residents.
Their Beef Pot Roast and Enrique’s Barbecue Ribs are “to die for.”
The cozy ambiance and their staff’s great service will sure keep us coming back.
This is one place I can truly recommend for its service, food and ambiance. The resto is intimate, quiet and beautifully designed. Love that friends can meet up, talk , eat and have a few drinks here with some privacy. The food is also excellent....The Mushroom and Swiss is so gooey that I just had to have 3 slices. The Sisig Spaghetti is a must try , lightly creamy , slightly spicy and not cloying. Simply delicious. Our mains were all shared so we can taste more dishes. The Guava Pork Adobo is a new experience. The Chimachuri Chicken is also interesting with its own sauce. Try it with mashed potato instead of rice for a change. For dessert, ube cheesecake , no less. The place is relaxing and best for having a quiet private dinner. Service is A-1 too. Will definitely be back here with more friends. Kudos to Chef Mara!More
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the sisig spaghetti and their bangus belly. It was a successful meeting with our clients and other business partners.
Love the ambiance of the cafe very pleasant and welcoming. Friendly, attentive, helpful and extremely professional staff and chefs. They know all of their dishes. The food was amazingly delicious especially the Guava Pork Adobo and Sisig Spag. Overall Superb service to their customers.
My all time favorite dish in this restaurant! Guava Pork Adobo. Been craving for it so I decided to pass by and eat. Quality of food is always at its finest with excellent service as well. Will start coming back for more!
Enjoyed the breakfast spread. They have a variety of set menu to choose from on top of their a buffet spread on bread, soup of the day, cereals and however you like your coffee made or even chocolate drink if you're not a coffee person....Food is prepared individually, tasty and the ingredients used are of quality. Very nice ambiance, cosy and comfortable. Even their lunch & dinner menu variety is aplenty. Highly recommended.More
Excellent food quality. We take a cheesecake and it was super fresh. We also had empanaditas which were great and I could bet there were home-made. Absolutely delicious!
It just took some time to arrive to the table
We celebrated our civil wedding at Aruga Cafe. They did a really great job bringing to life our vision. They accomodated all our requests. They set-up the place just like how I imagined it to be. They made beautiful floral arrangements and made the private...room looked even more posh! They even went out of their way to get an approval to provide us a space for our photobooth. There is a wide variety of food and flavors to choose from and they were all delicious and divine. I absolutely recommend this place. Perfect for an intimate gathering, date and catching up with family & friends. Aruga family, you made our day very special. Me and my husband are truly thankful. You will definitely see us again! All the best!!!More
I celebrated my birthday recently at the Aruga Cafe by Mesclun. My wife had been searching for a place to hold the party. As luck would have it, we had stayed overnight at the Aruga Hotel to mark the previous Mother’s Day. She found the...restaurant quaint and tastefully decorated. And Aruga Cafe it was!
Our meeting with their marketing person was a pleasant one, with her making suggestions with the menu. Dawn, that’s her, was on the mark! Our guests loved the food.
Although the restaurant is a bit small, we had enough space for some 60 guests. Using the toilet was a bit of a trick because it is unisex. However, they had staff to “manage the traffic”.
For starters, the Cream of Squash was a smash hit (the waiter was quick enough to take my dish to my table).
I’ll take their Linguine with Truffle Sauce over the offerings of other “Italian” restaurants. My daughter swooned over it, too.
All of my SC (senior citizen) guests loved the “Belly ala Miche”.
We chose “Slow Roast Chicken” and patted our backs for this choice. It was so good.
We enjoyed the “Beef Pot Roast” as well. But my “5-stars” go to the “Guava Pork Stew”, adobo with a wonderful twist.
What makes good food even better is the service that goes with it. The staff of Aruga Cafe was lively (they were quick to address the guests concerns and requests), and pleasant. The people manning the door and the reception desk of the hotel were ever-smiling. These people beat the staff in the other big hotel chains. Thank you, guys.
If only the menu we had for my celebration was available on the menu daily, I might have found a new, better place to do lunch or dinner whenever I’m in Rockwell.More
