The location was very strategic because it was near Sto Nino Church and the market place. It can get crowded at times but luckily for me, there were only a few visitors.
The halo-halo tasted great. The place is also homey. Great tambayan spot for the locals.

Isel Ian's Halo Halo is a specialized ice shake shop which I found in one of the small streets in the city center of Calapan three years ago.. It was a tiny shop which has at that time had a seating for only 10 to 15 pax. A week ago, we found ourselves in Calapan city and after dinner, our party of three craved for a dessert so we drove to the new store near the Plaza. Amazingly, the store is now in a nice corner fronting the park and has grown in area to seat possibly 30 pax. There are quaint tables and chairs which are so ingenously conceptualized. Each table has various shapes, circle, hexagon, oblong and the middle part is hollow with a glass top. The middle part of the table are full of colorful items,....colorful rubber bands, marbles or simple wooden blocks. We ordered our favorite Halo halo and eliminated the beans as ingredients. My companions were delightted as they found the ice shake delicious and innovative just like the tables and chairs. The ambiance is quite playful and fun.

The restaurant has move to M.Adriatico Street corner Sto.Nino Street beside Calapan City Plaza. The place is bigger with more tables to accommodate the steady stream of customers. They now also serve staple Filipino dishes such as pancit and arroz caldo among others. But to top it all off, they still serve the best halo-halo that its patrons keep coming back for.

They have a total of twelve ingredients you can choose from. They have a 8-, 9- and 12-ingredient halohalo.
The staff is very nice. I forgot my change and when I came back they remembered and returned it to me.

We went to Isel's Ians Halo-Halo for their famous Halo-Halo. We were greeted by their friendly staff. We ordered Halo-Halo and Aroz caldo. The restaurant it self is small but it's fresh and clean. The food was great. The portions are just the right size and everything tastes great. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart!!

I'm a halo halo addict and it's my mission to taste as much halo halo as possible :) And I can safely say this is the best I've tried. Even though it was so busy the service was efficient and polite and they didn't mix up any orders. I visit every time I'm in Calapan!

kudos to the owner and all the crew! everyone is accommodating..! food taste great! the place is awesome! you get what you pay for and nothing less! the best in Calapan! i would say it can even compete with other resto/snack bar in metro! i'm not surprised that everyone knows the place.. they live up to their reputation! was told that they serve the best halo halo in town and i definitely agree with everyone! gratz and thanks to the owner! keep serving the best halo halo! I can never ask for more!!

Over 40 of us descended on Insel Ian's after our conference ended one afternoon. The staff accommodated us with smiles, provided wonderfully fresh and delightful Halo Halo, and did not mix up any orders.

It was a perfect place to cool down and unwind after two days of heavy scientific presentations, meetings and workshop. It was just what we needed: a one-of-a kind; sumptuos, authentic and rich halohalo. Perfect to share with a friend, eat with gusto or treat your barkada or family.
I'm not fond of so-sweet stuff but this one works for me. Not only will you have a choice of having it with 6, 8 or 12 ingredients, its also your choice to have it with milk or add syrup. Just perfect for me. What i like best - really fine ice that melts in your mouth. And serving was generous and comes with your ice cream flavor and barquiron! A must-try, must-visit place in Calapan.
You might also want to try their barako coffee.

The best halo-halo I ever tasted! Plus you can choose your own ingredients from 8-12 different sort. The crew are so accommodating and warm! This will definitely be one of my go-to-place in Calapan! :)

Absolutely delicious & refreshing special 12 ingredient halohalo or mix-mix. Love the idea of adding your sugar syrup and milk adlibitum. Glad to know the shaved ice was made from purified water.
