We came for dinner on a very wet, cool evening and sat in the tented area.
I had the duck and it was probably the best meal I had had for a while in the Philippines and definitely the best in Baguio since we arrived.
We were staying around the corner at the Baguio Country Club where the restaurant staff were very unattentive and no one seemed happy to being working and the service was painfully slow. Here at Le Chef the staff were responsive and helpful and always had a smile on their face so it was such a nice contrast.
Despite the weather the evening we attended, its clear that the grounds are well kept and the lighting of the shrubbery nicely placed. On a clear evening the setting must be really nice.
Will definitely be coming back.

Arrived at the restaurant at 8:30pm so it wasn’t crowded at all. We asked to be seated at the tent area, at the farthest table and they obliged — although it took about 10 minutes for them to clean it up. Ordered the set dinner for Php1,500 per pax. Our server, Argie, was very efficient and accommodated our daughter’s request for substitutes, since she is allergic to gluten.
They served the courses promptly. Serving for the salad, soup and dessert were a bit on the small side. Serving for the main course was more generous. Food was excellent. Two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻
I suggest coming here at 6pm or after 8pm to avoid the crowd.
__________
As for the Le Chef Bakery:
I bought pasalubongs here, like fruit cake (quite dry), ube (tasted like gata), ensaymada (mediocre). The staff who packed my orders was also mediocre. She doesn’t verbally respond to instructions, playing deaf.
☝🏻
Restaurant experience was excellent. Bakery experience and taste were mediocre.

Le Chef is Billy King’s baby in Baguio.
Located in the Manor Hotel, another favorite of ours, it has been and remains a very nice outlet. The view on the garden at night is beautiful.
Tonight a Saturday evening there was a buffet and We were amazed. They had oysters both fresh and Rockefeller. The leg of lamb and the cut of beef were moist, perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The meat was very tender.
I honestly have never had such quality roasted meats in a buffet. Even Spirals at Sofitel still has work to do.
We shall most definitely return!

Staff is rude and unprofessional. Weird for a place that serves 500 peso soup.
I asked what time does it close, they said 11pm so we checked in Manor first. We went to le chef at 10:20 and they said they were already closed. I said i asked a while ago and she said oh our last call is at 10:30 so I'm like oh ok great we made it its 10:20.
5 of them smiled at me and unwelcomed us like please go away now, you are not welcome here.
Service is terrible considering you're going to spend 2k per person to eat. And to think this is in a hotel! 😓

We tried their New Year's Day buffet and frankly, it isn't worth the price. 2,500 is too expensive for such a mediocre menu. For something that was advertised as an international spread, the food choices were very limited. Main course dishes consisted of lamb, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, veggies, and two types of rice.
There was also roast lamb and beef and a sushi station that only offered salmon sashimi and some maki. All in all, there was a total of 17 dishes to choose from--drinks weren't included (you'd have to shell out an extra 400 to get some sodas). The ambiance was great, though. But for the prize, it's just not worth it (for comparison, Dad's offers far more options for just 1k, drinks included!)

The waiters seemed liked trainees who did not know what they were doing. It took them more than 30 minutes to serve our bread while the other people who just arrived got their bread right away. Then they served my husband's tiny greek salad after more than an hour, after everyone was done eating, even if he was the 1st one to order. The greek salad was just a small plate, as large as their spoon as you can see in the photo. I don't think it should take more than one hour to prepare such a tiny salad plate. Terrible service.

We went for dinner on March 8,2024 with balikbayan friends from the US. In our table of 10 pax, 5 got their orders one hour after it was gotten and they didnt bring what my husband ordered. Initially, the service staff gave the excuse that they were undermanned and that they didnt have a manager. The billing took equally long as the service and kitchen staff were deliberating who would bare the brunt of the mistake. Its such a shame because the food tasted good but the service to the table was very bad for a five star hotel outlet. It is hard to believe that there is no manager and that 5 supervisors could not make a managerial decision to repair the damage done for damaged goodwill. The only thing they could offer was for the most expensive dish which they retracted because it ended up to be a promo dish. I had to give my husband the soup I ordered and my balikbayan friend felt bad so he offered him a portiin of his much delayed steak. For the price that you have to pay, it is not worth the headache.

The Manor Le Chef restuarant opens at 6am we actually arrived early we where greeted by the Manor guards and we told the that we came for the breakfast they told us that it was opening at six and we can inquire inside. The restaurant reception greeted us and took sat us a on the restaurant /hotel lobby dinning areas as they prepared the food. The reception asked to see the vaccination cards if we had them and my mobile number. Then had us start the buffet meal. It was a mix of Filipino dishes, standard egg station, bacon station, congee station, Taho Station, Cereal Area, Cofee and Tea Stations, Salad Bar and bread and pastries area. The vigan sausages I had where really good, add that with the dried fish where really good. The surprise was the egg station output it was very caramelized onions together with the tomatoes, mushroom some chicken strips with a touch of salt and pepper. For a quick cook time for the onions to come out that way was very good. The food taken together with the foggy yet not too cold morning weather in the garden area of the hotel is really nice it gives a relaxed feeling. By the way didnt share any of the restaurant photos as there are people I dont know of in the shots instead what you can see as you dine on the garden are can be seen to the photos.

We had a quick trip to Baguio and availed of the buffet dinner at Le Chef to treat our nephew for passing his first year class in Mapua.
The place is elegant and classically beautiful. That’s how I’d shortly describe the atmosphere and design at Le Chef inside and outside. There’s little lighting in the garden area but it was enough to set a romantic mood right while enjoying the cool air of Baguio. As we stepped inside, we found that the ambiance is one that spots a rather relaxed setting. It’s an ideal venue to host an intimate family gathering or a memorable date.
The food was great. We tried all their entrees, one of their desserts, and everything was delicious, tasty, appetizing, scrumptious, yummy, luscious, delectable, mouth-watering, fit for a king. Highly recommended.
This is really my kind of place.

Food is good but the service is ho hum. We went for dinner and I asked what alcohol they might recommend/ what brand they have. The waiter asked what rubbing alcohol they have Green cross or another brand? I said I am looking for a cocktail recommendation like a mojito (they don’t have) they recommended a sangria. Went for a white wine but only one is available no more Australian wine. When getting the bill they asked me to sign then came back again because the 1st wait staff forgot to ask me to sign the 2nd copy 🥲
1st day of breakfast no one asked us to sign the bill 2nd day they asked us to sign the bill so we asked what happened to the bill of the 1st day?
Food is good but service is spotty need to re train & have more training. Lots of colleagues running around in circles but efficiently is low ⬇️❗️

Used to be our favorite but it has changed a lot,no longer the restaurant we knew 10 years ago where you enjoy good, quality food and service. Not just the restaurant, the bakeshop too. expensive bakegoods but not worth it really.
Baguio has a lot of really good restaurant that are reasonably priced but great food, ambiance and staffs. so its not the end of the world.
2 stars because we did not enjoy our meal and the service. the food is not worth the price. Service was so slow , they served our hot drinks with out our ordered pastries that eventually came after follows up (took them 40 mins to serve.)

Whenever I visit Baguio, I always eat at Le Chef and buy bread for pasalubong. The place, ambiance and food are superb. However, this time, the supervisor of the bakery station made faces, smirked and slammed “dabog” the take out boxes, for reason we have to make her wait for how make slices we will order. I mean, she is the supervisor, its very early in the morning, it is Sunday and she showed a very bad attitude. Not very nice for the business.

very disappointing!
MUSIC was something poorly chosen from an app, attached to speakers at the entrance. sometimes its too loud, too dramatic, or too busy.
FOOD.
we started with caesar salad. the dressing was lacklustre.
he ordered a Lechon Bagnet. it was very bland. Chef doesnt know the difference between lechon kawali and a bagnet.
i ordered a Bistek Tagalog, which was sour… too much calamansi.
when we asked for iced water 3x, we got water 3x, then on the third time, waiter came back with ice after 10 min. 😆
carinderya quality food served in a formal setting. so disappointing!

Loved the dining ambiance. Feels elegant. Buffet breakfast was a controlled buffet. Sumptuous selection. From bacon, local cuisine, pancakes , waffles and even an omelette station. Let me remind that they are using Benguet province coffee and offer either tea or hot chocolate. It is not included in their room package so expect non hotel guests going there also.
Buffet dinner was also controlled. They use an expansive garden tent to accommodate huge number of guests. Reservation is a must. Highlights of the buffet were the steak and lamb carving station. Must try are the pasta station and of course the warm bread rolls to go with the meat entrees.
Highly Recommended.

In the dinner we had last July 8, 2022, we ordered pork tenderloin, baby back ribs, french onion soup and cheese cakes for dessert. The service and food servings (presentation, quality and taste) are the best. The place is cozy and the staff, Ms Kaitlyn and Jeff, are highly exceptional and commendable. Ms Kaitlyn is in fact very consistent as she was the same staff who graciously served us during our last visit in April 2022.
