This place looked lovely and the food smelt lovely. Until we sat down, all the waiters ignored us and when my boyfriend went to get the menu the man told us we need to be patient.
After realising that the table next to us had...a stunning steak, we gave it a second chance as it looked amazing! Sadly it was disappointing, I had the BBQ ribs which were lovely, but my boyfriends steak was over cooked and came with no sauce.
We both wanted more drinks and we were trying to get the waiters attention, but all 4 of the men were surrounding a table of girls ignoring everyone else in the restaurant. After about 20 minutes of trying we gave up.
Not worth the expensive meal!!More
A spacious terrace near the main square that is slightly recessed and fenced so that these passers-by do not look at the plate.
The terrace was served by 4-5 people, of which only two were dressed in something similar to a waiter's uniform, while the...others were obviously just an helping staff and spoiled the impression.
Most of the time we were served by a waiter who really had pleasant manners with a dose of humor and a quality presentation of a wide range of dishes and a rich wine list.
The beefsteak with truffles and mashed cream was really great. Truffles that are extremely aromatic were in quite sufficient quantity.
Very fine red house wine.
Helping staff below level, carried our food around the patio offering to other guests until I spotted and signaled to him that it was ours.
There were two drinks on the bill that we didn’t order - the “real” waiter apologized for the “assistant” mixing the tables. Whether it was an attempt of fraud and extra earnings or really a mistake, I cannot assess with certainty.More
Dreadful time. We weren’t looked after. Service took ages. Menu isn’t clear. Food at best ok - though how you can charge £3.5 for a bowl of lettuce and a cherry tomato calling it a salad is ridiculous.
Worst part was when we politely told...the waiter our concerns - after getting a wrong bill too - he said ‘well, other people are smiling’ and walked away….
Overpriced, rude and just not worth the time. Avoid.More
We had a ravioli and black risotto. The food was very good and the plates were beautifully presented. Very good service, the waiters were very respectful and took time to talk to you and make you feel comfortable. Nice area to have a meal, it...was surounded by a fence of bushes so it didn’t felt like you were eating in a crowded place.More
At first the restaurant seemed good. The waiter was friendly and we ordered our food. But then it all began tumbling down. We got our food after 45 minutes of waiting. Since we came to the restaurant around 10 pm, when it was so crowded...that we barely found a table, when we got our food the most of the people had already left. After waiting for so long, we hoped that it would at least be worth it. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The meal I got wasn't the meal I ordered. I got a similar meal, but it wasn't it. It was also more expensive than the one I ordered (6 kn, which is not that much, but I was more frustrated by the fact that I didn't get what I wanted). When the waiter was giving me the meal, he said the name of the meal I ordered. The meal was okay, nothing special (Pasta (in Croatian fuži) with tomatoes, spinach and grana padano cheese). My friends also weren't too impressed by their meals. One of them ordered seashells, and got pasta as a side dish, just cooked pasta without any spice. The other ordered octopus with potatoes, and said that the potatoes were too spicy and that they killed the taste of the octopus. All in all, we waited above-average long to get the food we didn't order that also wasn't especially tasty. If you're going to this restaurant, my advice is to lower your expectations as much as possible.More
I am gluten intolerant. I explicitly told it to the waiter (explaining how bad it could be when I eat it by mistake), and he ensured what I was ordering was safe for me. After starting eating, I realised the dish contained breadcrumbs (unfortunately, I...realised it too late). When I asked the waiter if he could check with the chef, he confirmed there was gluten, shrugged and said 'sorry, just human, what can I do, not my problem'. Worst treatment ever. I recommend people with any allergy not to eat there: there are many other good restaurants in Pula; luckily I had troubles only at the Mediterraneo, anywhere else in Pula I found people who cared, and had no problemMore
