I used to go to Frida every time I visited Belgrade, especially for drinks. However, this time I decided to bring my guests there for an important dinner. The service was alright, but let me tell you, the food was a disaster. Those tacos were...the worst I've ever had in my entire life, they even look so unappetising. I don't know what happened to the quality of this place. And to top it off, when it came time to leave a tip, the waiter had the audacity to ask for 10% as if it was some kind of restaurant policy. I didn't want to make a scene in front of my guests, but I was definitely left with a bad taste in my mouth after that experience. I'm never setting foot in that place again.More

While the band is truly amazing, I have to say the hostess is incredibly rude. She seems only to be nice to people who buy drinks for her, while she is very rude to people who don't. The same can be said about the waiters,...who only pay attention to you if you buy alcoholic drinks for them, which should not even be allowed.More

I am in Serbia invited by specialized medical TV, they recommended this place to me and it was on the 23rd with my co-workers and everything was perfect. We repeated the visit on the 24th, but the service was really not that good. The food...is very good, but the waiter this time not so much. To my surprise, when we finished dinner, we paid the bill and left a tip. But the waiter asked me to add 10% more. Be careful, in Serbia there is no set tip value. It also seemed to me in bad taste an attempted scam. So we will not return to this place anymore.More

It is great Mexican restaurant. It is at the same place for more than 10 years now. The down side is that is super expensive, especially if you are there to drink cocktails or margaritas. But due to the location, just on the bank of...the river this is something you have to expect.More

Visited Cantina de Frida on a Friday evening, excited to try out their tacos and burritos, however was faced with a rather comic situation...Apparently this restaurant considers Friday and Saturday as the weekend days and on weekend days they do not serve any tortilla based...food. Now that was shocking to hear. The waiter explained that in order for a tortilla based food to be prepared, it has to go through three chefs. One chef cuts the ingredients, the other fills the tortillas etc. They get a lot of burrito/tacos orders and they cannot keep up with them. In my opinion, this type of excuse is rather poor and unacceptable for such a dining place. After being rejected for tacos/burritos we had to opt for their meat dishes, for the main course. The waiter recommended us to take a mix of different meat and we agreed. The meat was tasty, medium rare cooked (luckily i enjoy medium rare meat, however many people do not enjoy it so i cannot imagine how they would feel if they were given the plate. A quick question by the waiter regarding the cooking style should not be too bad...). We also ordered salads and cheese/meat boards and they were tasty. For dessert we ordered a Basque cake and it was fine yet nothing special. The restaurant overall looks fancy and decorated in Frida style and there is live music every night. We were seated outside and one thing that bothered me was that there were many spiders hanging from the ceiling. Some of them got really close to us and our food. I understand, it is very close to the river and its normal to have insects but they should clean the ceiling once in a while. To sum up, the restaurant offers high quality food but was dissapointed with their burrito/taco policy especially because its a pretty expensive restaurant. The waiters should work more on their behavior with the customers and be more welcoming when the guests are arriving. It is an interesting experience but im not sure if i would visit Cantina de Frida again.More

I would like to write my experience. I was there with my friend, it was Saturday night. When waiter came to take an order he wanted to recommend cocktail. We gave him hint which taste we like but he gave us totally different drinks. I...told him i dont like it, it was spicy and i would like to gave that drink back and to order something else. He take it but he put that drink in the final bill. In the end when we wanted to pay he told that it is ok to take for service 5% of total amount. After all we werent satisfied with his service and he didnt deserved to ask for 5%. I travel a lot and i know for restaurants policy but in Serbia it isnt usually case especially if customer isn't satisfied.More

I went for dinner with friends. Food was really good and you have a lot of choices. But what we enjoyed the most were the covers from the live music. Sounding awesome, we danced and enjoyed listening to it for a few hours. The place...was full, great atmosphere. 100% recommended!More

This restaurant is by the Sava river. We went there for lunch at 1 pm. We had eggplant roll, cheese stuffed pepper and truffle buttered steak. None of the items were tasty at all, we had the similar items in other restaurants in Belgrade and...those were delicious, so we can tell the difference. It was a touristic place & felt like they were just preparing food in batches and caring less. Food was expensive and quality was bad. At the same price we ate a lot better in a nice Serbian restaurant just on the opposite bank of the river (where all party boats are). eggplant roll was bitter, stuffed pepper was not crispy at all and the bread crumb layer was very thick, truffle butter covered steak was too salty that we could not even finish the half of it! I do not recommend this restaurant for food, may be drink if you like to seat, sip & see the Sava river.More

It is a very nice restaurant on the Sava river bank from where you can admire the whole city. The food is Spanish / South American. Wine was excellent. Very nice atmosphere. In substance a place not to miss.

Shocked with service, unpleasant staff. I came with a friend for dinner, but noone came to serve us. We left place after 25 minutes of waiting for someone to come. I called waiter 3times, I am sure he saw me, but anyway didn't come. We...witnessed that girl (table next to ours) was irritated with waiter, as well.More

Food is so delicuous so we cleaned the table but what made the night spectacolous is the band. We were dancing and smiling all the time. If you need to take your friends or colleagues for some fun I would say that Frida is a...right place for that.More
