Sher E Punjab Rincon de la India, Quito - Menu, Prices & Restaurant Reviews

I’ve tried 2 Indians restaurants in Cumbaya, 1 in Quito, and now 1 in Baños. This has been my top choice so far. Food was surprisingly good. I underestimated the restaurant because of its decor which was very basic. However, where it counts they nailed...it. It brought me back to Indian family friends that used to cook authentic dishes for us in Indonesia and Trinidad & Tobago. I will be trying a 5th Indian restaurant in Ecuador which to no surprise is Sher E Punjab’s location in Quito after my great experience with them in Baños. P.s. it was refreshing trying to talk to the chefs and them having no idea what I was saying because they are from India and don’t speak SpanishMore

Superb Indian Restaurant!

I couldn't rave enough about this place. Food & service were both amazing. I arrived late an my own. They not only let me in, they made me feel very welcome even though it was closing time and I was the only one there. It...was raining when I left so my waiter walked me across the street with an umbrella. The samosas were the best I've ever had (and I lived in NYC a long time) with perfectly flaky crust and delicious sauces. It tasted like something someone's grandmother made. My palak paneer was superb! I had actually gone out looking for a different Indian restaurant I couldn't find, so finding this place was a most happy accident. I can already tell I'm going to be craving this place for some time to come.More

Great Indian in Quioto

The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant was really nicely decorated. The mango lassie was exceptional and so was the Banga Barta. Definitely a great place if you want a warm friendly atmosphere for a sit down Indian dinnerMore

I did not enjoy the food. Not tasty

The food is not originally indian food, especially hyderabadi briyani. I have been in Hyderabad for years and never ate green color beryani. Very small pieces of chicken and fish in chicken masala and fish masala. All the foods have a sweet taste. Not recommend...this restaurant for trying original indian food.More

Amazing Indian cuisine and kind staff :)

Amazing experience. The waiter was very kind. We had a food-combo with entrees and 2 main dishes. The food came fast and everything tasted amazing. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit. We also had a dinner at their restaurant in Baños where we...likewise had a great time!More

Some of the best Indian cuisine I have ever had.

This restaurant is conveniently located 2 blocks from the J.W. Marriott. I feel this was the best Indian food I have had in a long time. I had the #37 butter chicken and my wife got the #38 Chicken Tikka Masala. We added #50 Jeera...rice and #60 Cheese Naan. The servings plentiful and we shared everything. The presentation was very nice and the flavors were fantastic. The atmosphere was very nice and the dining room was much nicer than I expected. The prices were low for the amount and quality of the food. The staff was very attentive and we truly enjoyed our time there.More

Wonderful Indian restaurant in Quito!
