We went during the first weeks after reopening and, despite there being no one around, we found El Castillo open and ready to serve. We had the place to ourselves but they have sanitary measures in place to host customers both inside and out. We...had excellent lamb and boar dishes and, best of all, at a very reasonable price, considerably cheaper than some of the places in the middle of town.More

Came for early dinner on a cold night. Had huge expectations due to it being no 1 and so much competition in Pucón but I have to say all 3 of us were a tad disappointed! Waitress very chirpy and lovely. Free garlic bread to...start which was yummy. Chips were a little too oily which may be a Chilean thing. Salmon was quite nice but dominated by too much risotto needed some nice greens or veggies. Trout fair . Burrito was not really hot temperature wise. So I can’t say we were super excited! Very quaint ambience though.More

Definitely the best place for a “refuge experience” enjoying great food and an awesome service from the owners and their very friendly service team. A must in Pucon.

We had a great lunch with an incredible winter menu, while watching the world cup game. The place is super cozy, great fireplace and just a few tables. We had the deer stroganoff and the wild mushrooms stroganoff, both amazing and good portions. We also...had a salmon with quinoa really nice. For dessert a good apple kuchen and to top it off hot chocolate with marshmallow! Great place, with really nice service, a no missMore

Easily seen on side of road to the volcanos, this place is build from volcanic rock. The inside is warm and woodsy. There is an outside patio for nice days. We had soup, pizza, burrito and French fries, all good. The dining is much finer than...you would expect away from town. It is worth it if only for a trip to the volcano.More

This was a must return. The first visit my husband ordered the sausage sandwich. When I tasted it I couldn't let go and I had salmon ravioli in front of me. This visit we enjoyed her melt in you mouth venison stroganoff. Our guests have...just arrived and we can't wait to take them to "this" castle in the air.More

El Castillo offers fantastic food, incredible views and good gringo hospitality. We live in Pucon and it is always one of the places on the top of the list to take guests to. It is perfect for after hiking the volcano, or just a good...place to go and have a beer and take in the views on a hot afternoon. Ask Zoe about her volcanic eruption experience!More

We split a delicious pizza and enjoyed a cozy and cutesy atmosphere after a rainy, cold and snowy excursion to the volcano. A nice place to stop.
