Wanted to order the USDA rib eye promo special (buy one, get one), but my partner was competing the next day at an international ballroom dancing event at Waterfront, and did not want to eat heavy food.
So, she ordered the Olio linguine seafood pasta...(P650) and I ordered the braised lamb shank with couscous (P770) and wound up eating most of her order too.
Wanted to order a bottle of bubbly to toast her, and, after perusing the wine menu, asked the waiter which of the two French bubblies he might recommend. He then got very flustered, and removed that page from the plastic cover, saying that it was an "old page". He came back later with a new wine menu, from which the two French bubblies had disappeared. Very odd experience.
Had to go upstairs to wash my hands and couldn't figure out where to do so. Finally was told to step on a foot pedal, which caused water to flow over a large transparent glass sheet over the top of the bar area on the floor below.
Two other couples dining at the time, both western men with younger, rather provocatively dressed Filipinas. Actually, one couple was a threesome. Interesting....More
