I came here as an engaged couple.
The food was excellent. The Chori pizza was huge for the price, and I took away half for later :) the Hawaiian salmon burger was exquisite and the mango salsa really complemented it well.
Drinks were very good; the highlights for me were the man who provided an excellent shisha. Without doubt the best one on the island. He really had a passion for making it as good as possible, and it lasted for ages.
The acoustic guitarist playing that night was amazing. She had a wonderful voice, and it really added to the general vibe.
A place I’ll definitely visit again. I should add that unlike some places we’re the staff will ask you to write a review to promote their business, this one comes without any pressure from them. A top place.

We loved our visit in Cafe Maruja during our stay in Boracay. I've tried their famous Acai Smoothie bowl and I loved it. It's filling and also yummy. My husband got the famous Maruja burger, we shared it as the serving is too big for him to consume alone. And for the drinks, my husband ordered their Spanish Latte and he loved it. I also tried their fruit juice and it's really a freshly squeezed fruit not a concentrated one. Money well spent on this cafe and the view specially during sun set is priceless!

Of all the restaurants I’ve tried in my four day trip, this is the best of all of them.
First, the ambiance of the place was such a balm to the summer heat, with wide open seating and big industrial fans ensuring that you’re never bathed in heat for longer than a thought. There are many seating options as well, from floor cushions to the bar stools to standard tables and chairs further in the establishment. If you’re worried about the size of your party, I feel like this place can seat either 2 to 10 people (although we were only 5 in the group when we visited!).
The food is pricier than what I’m accustomed to it’s definitely worth it because it’s delicious. I’m talking about how none the dishes missed the mark when it comes to taste and presentation. They came in the cutest dishes that clearly fit the vibe of the restaurant AND they were so good I kept eating even if I was close to bursting.
We ordered the tuna belly sinigang, the shrimp gambas, truffle fries, pork sisig, and the baked scallops for our viands. If I can just give you a bite of each just to prove to you how absolutely enjoyable the experience was to consume each bite of the dish, I would.
The baked scallops was a delight; cheesy with a big enough portion to sate your urging for a snack or a meal. It’s always a habit for us to get the baked scallops in whatever restaurant we eat at and this wins the prize (out of the 7 we’ve tried).
I’m a sucker for truffle fries but sometimes restaurants cheat the truffle part and take it liberally. This is one of those but I forgave them for how salty the fries are and the dip that it was paired with. I don’t know what it was made of but I consumed every inch of that dip.
The seafood was pretty good - whether it’s the gambas or the sinigang. Flavorful and soft, I never had to fight to eat any of the meat. Just pop it into your mouth without worrying about a bone or fin.
What delighted me was the service and our server, Edgar. If you see him, please give him a tip and a friendly hello. Man knew what we wanted before we could even want it. Super attentive, ensured that we were comfortable with the temperature, had quick deliveries for all of our meals and provided us everything without delay. The service was the best on this island so far and it was thanks to him! Appreciate you, Edgar - hope your sleep was good and your meals are delicious.
Their alcoholic drinks are creative with a slight twist to the accustomed drink types. I had a salted caramel White Russian which isn’t my usual cocktail but I enjoyed the use of the salted caramel to bring a little zest to it. We also had a mango pineapple daiquiri which was foamy and cold, perfect for a hot day and for those who are sick of the standard mango shakes.
Highly recommend this place! 🌸

I ordered a smoothie bowl : it was just ice mixed with a tiny bit of chocolate and banana slices on the top for decoration. I couldn't eat it as it was mostly just frozen water. On top of that it's super expensive !!

I went to Café Maruja specifically for their Matcha Latte but ended up ordering the Enoki Mushroom and Fries as well. The latter was specifically notable.
But what truly made this establishment a stand-out are the excellent service and the remarkable atmosphere.
The service I received from staff was truly commendable and perhaps one of the best I have ever had not just in Boracay but in the Philippines. Note that while I’m now a visitor in this country, I grew up here and have had plenty of experience with the local service industry.
The place itself features a very relaxed, laidback and casual ambiance. But it’s also hip and chic in an understated and unassuming way. Guests were decent and the music was never loud with a perfect in-house playlist.
The menu offers a range of selection, including options friendly to those with dietary restrictions. Note that my matcha latte had almond milk as a substitute (for an additional charge).
The matcha itself was OK and could be richer but the almond milk they used likely watered it down. The only thing that would make this better is perhaps a different location but even that is not an issue. It was worth the trek to Station 3.

We went for lunch based on the good reviews and the nice looking place right next to the beach.
However, the food was very bad. Burger came raw and was completely blend and easily fits into the category my worst burger ever.
My wife had an avocado sandwich with untoasted bread and "old" avocado. Not good at all.
Our table neighbors had similar experience and were disappointed as well.
Coffee on the other hand was very good though.
Bottom line: drinks yes - food no

Coffee was good and the place was great, but it was the bad service for me. Other tables were given water right away, and we had to ask for it. I ordered Maruja Sabroso (please note that it's only a sandwich) it's been an hour of waiting, other tables got their orders before us, even though we arrived and ordered before them, I was starving and that would be my first meal for the day. We felt the discrimination especially after seeing that we were the only filipinos there. Cafe Maruja please do better, treat your customers equally.

Loving the food here at Cafe Maruja. The blueberry cheesecake is mouthwatering that I want to eat another slice. The four cheese pizza is so tasty that will make you eat 3 slices and more. The nutella milkshake is so yummy. A must visit place in boracay.

I went to Cafe Maruja 2 months ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since. Among all the restaurants and cafes I have been to in Boracay, I must say this is one of the best (if not the best) one.
What's not to love? They have the best music, location, ambiance, food and service. I managed to stay here for almost half a day every single day in a span of one week just enjoying the view of the beach, the music and of course, the food and drinks. They have a resident DJ that plays during the day and an acoustic solo/duo at night which really sets the vibe of the place, a beach side cafe where you can chill and have a good time with your friends, family, and even solo!
I highly recommend the Nutella Shake for anyone with a sweet tooth, and they also have a less sweeter, more coffee-tasting version of this (my personal to-go drink in Cafe Maruja). The chocolate crepe and vegan burger are also to die for! I also tried their partner restaurant, Joe's, and the food was so good, I'm not even kidding. My friend and I got the crispy pata and cheesy ribs, which come in huge servinga and are apparently good for about 4 people, but of course, for us, that's only good for 2 people because it was THAT delicious.
Everything about this place is such a feast for the eyes... and for Instagram! Can't wait to go back to Boracay just to go here again! Thank you Cafe Maruja for the island experience🤍

Located between station 2&3, Maruja is one of the best cafe and restaurants the island can offer. It has a wonderful view of the beach but you have to come early for the best seats. The food, ambience and drinks are all excellent. Standard fare is available but do try the buddha bowls and smoothies. The cocktails and coffee are very good as well.
Offering food and drinks suitable for all times of the day, Maruja is a great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Morning coffee or late night drinks as well.
Definitely one of the most scenic establishments with amazing quality of food. A must visit for any trip to Boracay!

Such a cute spot right on the beach! We ordered house fries, beef caldereta, adobong pusit, pork sisig, and chop suey. Everything was flavorful and well cooked and came out in a timely manner. The service was great and accommodating. It was also nice that they have vegan options since a few of us have dairy allergies. Would definitely recommend and will be back next time we’re in Boracay!

Overpriced and rude waitstaff.
I ordered a Pink Rose Latte and received a drink with no beetroot, rose syrup, or rose flower. When I brought this to the attention of the waiter, he insisted the order was correct rather than trying to fix it. Awful customer service, especially considering the price of 300 php plus service charge.

I like this restaurant because it has really delicious food. Also they accept credit card. The breakfast includes water or juices. And breakfast is all day. The most interesting is that daddy forgot there expensive sunglasses and tomorrow they return them! Personal is very friendly.

The food is packed with flavors minus the guilt. Fresh quality ingredients and Its presented well perfect for your stories. I recommend the Wagyu Noirish Bowl, the combination of greens and meat were harmonious.
The ambiance adds a next level aesthetic in your dining experience especially seeing that beautiful beachfront.
Staff is friendly and gives you the best recommendations. Overall its a must try Café

Underwhelming experience. This place is more for the Insta shots rather than the food. The decor is pretty and view is wonderful right by the sea. Food is too overdone with colouring and lacks flavour. The burger was ok but would not recommend the eggs royale.
