I understood their prices when I booked my reservation, so that was not a surprise. The surprise was the lack of quality that these prices usually accompany. We were seated & provided menus showing entries only. No wine list, no appetizers, no desserts. I ordered...a big steak & asked about a glass of wine to with it. I was informed that there is no wine, by the glass served. The steak was good, but not great. The peas were freezer burned & should not have been served. All told, the reputation far exceeded reality. I dislike people who complain about meals while eating them, & I did not complain.More

I have been here a number of times over the years (about 10). A friend of mine is a regular, so I've been going there more often over the last year. The food is excellent, consistently well prepared, and hard to find anything comparable around...town in general. Service can be tough at times, but usually good. The menu is extensive with lots of choices. Peter, the owner, is a delight, and he has an excellent wine selection available. Visit the "inner wine room" and he might have some classic music video's going. Worth a visit, and I highly recommend it.More

Good choice of local Philippines cuisine and international meals. Big portions and very attractive helpful staff. Wines are slightly overpriced.

2 out of 2 for great meals that exceeded expection. Very generous portions, value for money, appropriately attentive staff and the small surprise....3 craft beers on tap brewed in El Nido. No surprise that we'll be visiting that place when we get there !!!

Order their Cowboy Steak and their rack of Lamb! Tender, tasty and good for sharing. They know their meats and there are a variety of ways they can prepare any meat lover’s favorite dish! They do have a vegetarian menu just in case. They also...have an extensive collection of wine, so it’s definitely a recommended place for special occasions.More

This place was neat! It is a little bit away from everything so I would recommend renting scooters and ripping around the city. We found a beach, it was about 1.5 hours on a scooter to get there but it was some of the most...beautiful and clean water we had found while we were in the Philippines. The pool is really refreshing, and the food was decent - a little pricey though. The room was huge with a super comfy bed and air con. Over all we enjoyed our stay here!More

me and my fiancé stayed here for 4 days and we loved the place! very quiet not crowded all you hear is the sound of nature in the morning and at night. paid less than 2k for a night very affordable! we enjoyed swimming in...the pool. 4-5ft lang kaya super okay for us na hndi marunong lumangoy. they also have jacuzzi! bar at the pool is really cool! but the bartender is not very accommodating, parang foreigner lang pinapansin. the room we got is really nice.very spacious at meron pang extra bed sa ilalim. bathroom is really nice too! medyo madilim lang. at yung shampoo head and shoulders sachet.lol but its okay coz we brought our own naman. the food is great, mahal lang but worth the price, food is super yummy and good for sharing, american size. the hotel is far from the city kasi sobrang nasa looban sya but outside the hotel meron namang tricycle na pwedeng sakyan. paid 80pesos for tricycle. mabait ang mga trike driver nila. one thing we didn’t like is their laundry service, pissed me off kasi sabi 24hrs we can get it na pero lumagpas na hindi padin daw nakatupi.followed up many times bumaba pa kami sa front desk just to get it kasi hindi sinasagot ang phone.tapos one shirt is not mine pa nagkapalit daw. but over all its a good place to stay! we’ll visit again soon!More

Went as a family of 3 for 3 nights. Unfortunately, the hotel overbooked and the room initially booked (room with a balcony) was not the one we were given. After we spoke to management, we were transferred the following night. The rooms are very spacious,...decorative and quite basic. I wouldn't say cleanliness is at the top of their priority list, particularly as this place is INFESTED by ants. Staff are friendly, cannot fault their hospitality.. particularly the staff providing local transportation just outside of the hotel (tricycle drivers), they took us on a great city tour. As mentioned by other members, I really pity the dogs, who are kept on leashes the whole day! I took one for a walk and he clearly loved it, it's just unfortunate he is kept on a leash all. the. time. he really needs more tlc.! Also, be aware of the locks on the doors, both rooms we stayed in had locks that were very difficult to both lock and open. Overall, we will DEFINITELY NOT be in a hurry to return to this hotel any time soon. This hotel is also ANT INFESTED!!! Got bitten sooo many times.!!!More

very dissapointed with their organization on booking. We were very much looking forward to stay on their hotel and enjoy their food and space only to find out when we got there that the booking was cancelled by them. we had to look by our...self on our email and our phone was lowbat. at that time the receptionist was already suggesting us to get the family room which we dont need.. by the time we saw the reference they just told us that it was cancelled and they can even print the cancellation email to them. I have my own accommodation listed in booking.com and i know how this cancellation works.. We came from a very long trip, our phone was low battery and it was middle of the day very hot to look for last minute accommodation and the place was not that close to other places. We know that you cancelled our booking because you prefer to give it to a customer with higher payment but for the record you made it very inconvenient for us and you made us very dissapointed. I hope other customers wouldnt experience this.More

have you ever watches Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? remember the hotel where Johnny Depp and Benecio del Torro stay for the race? THIS PLACE HAS THAT VIBE!!! i regret not taking more pics of the room and location but it was soooooooo weird,...i was just awe-sturck!!! at the time of my visit, the hotel was pretty empty and we were the only guests staying on our sode of the building so the creep factor was probably another reason why i forgot to capture the spectacle which was this hotel. but it is definitely one for adventurous traveller!!! i LOVED my stay there and would travel to Puerto Princessa again just to stay here 😊 we were only there for one night and we left bright and early. didnt have time to experience much at the hotel like the pool or eatery.we only had dinner and walked around the compound ( feeling very much like Alice in Wonderland tbh!). the room was like Neptune themed. like the room at the RV Park from A Goofy Movie. it was definitely something out of this world.More

I was hoping for good value for money, but sadly didn’t get it in deep forest wine bar and restaurant. Tacky decor, Manila high prices and nothing good enough to be noteworthy. Lots of better places to eat in puerto.

First, I own a business and deplore negative reviews. Especially when they are undeserved. So it is with much thought that I feel I must report what we saw for 10 days while staying at this resort. My wife and I are avid dog lovers...and were dismayed at the treatment the owner Peter has for his 3 dogs. His two Beagles are on a short leash as you enter his hotel. There is a sign that indicates that guests can take them for a walk. I did take them for a short walk. It seemed they were pretty happy not to be chained for a short time. Peter’s Husky lives in a cage at the entrance of the hotel. The security guard takes him for a walk every now and then, but it’s absolutely a miserable life for such a majestic animal. Peter, I suggest you think deeply about how you treat your animals. How would you like to be in a small cage all day everyday or stuck on a short chain? The food was good. The pool with bar is nice. Surely you are clever enough to find your animals a suitable home.More

The restaurant is above average and so are the prices , but it's worth it in general. During wet season when prices drop and the number of customers decreases , there are several missing ingredients , including ingredients from classic Filipino dishes. No radish is...the sinigang , the chef tried to sneak an adobo sauce instead of sweet glaze on the pork ribs. It was annoying and getting compensation from Filipinos is like getting blood out of a stone. I recommend asking if all the ingredients are available for your dish before ordering it. But quality in this restaurant is generally above average except for missing ingredients.More
