This is a gem in Puerto Princesa. located on Manalo extension, easy parking on the main road, this little restaurant offers a variety of superb delicacies. From their unique Pasta with crab meat, to beautiful Thai curry, fresh salads, imported steaks and great homemade desserts...with a very warm welcoming owners and staff, we highly recommend this neighborhood restaurant . Since I started writing reviews for TripAdvisor, I have been keeping an eye out for new places to try and make a review on, esp. in my home city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The Feisty Chef date is one such planned visit. I invited my...Victory group for a post-Valentine Sunday lunch; and the food portions blew us away! The place is owned by Maria and Andreas, who were both very accommodating. The price is not for everyday fare but perfect for casual celebrations. The costing is definitely just right for the quality of the materials that go into the preparation of each plate. The Valentine menu was still on so I tried their Stuffed Chicken Breast and it was just what I was hoping it'd be - full of flavor and varying tastes and textures. The bed of shiitake mushrooms was a little too salty for me but it all came together as a pleasant dining experience. All of us enjoyed what we ordered while the two in the group who ordered large plates of pasta just had to stop halfway as they were so full. If you want large portions of not-the-local-fare. If you enjoy herbed dishes and sampling new things (we tried the Canadian Poutine for sharing...french fries with pulled meat jerky, cheese,and sauce), you gotta come and visit. Outside, it might look like the local carinderia but, boy, you are in for a treat! The indoor space could seat about 12-15 people and they have two more tables on the street side if you don't like airconditioning. You should allocate about two hours to enjoy a leisurely meal that will allow you to savor each bite. That was what we allotted for this visit so it was just perfect. Those who have been to Puerto Princesa know that there is not much to expect as far as food is expected. But wait, there are a few exceptions and Feisty Chef is one of them. The secret to be revealed is that the owner is...a German-Canadian chef with years of international experience. As a result you get a three Michelin star dishes for a price of European McDonald’s. Do not miss this opportunity. On our last visit we had crab pasta and curry. It definitely can get fancier but not any better. A lemon-orange cheesecake made by chef’s wife would require a separate essay so I will limit myself to saying: stunning.More

Staying just a few doors down and reading such high praises/reviews, we had to give Feisty Chef a go. We were not disappointed in any way during our numerous visits in our short stay in Puerto. Everything we tried was very fresh and delicious. Our...favorites being the 'Canadian Poutine' although the Thai and German was quite nice also. The rib eye was well worth the peso spent..the beef comes froms a highly regarded angus farm out of the US. The salad entails organic greens and is a good size to satisfy any salad lover. We enjoyed our meals to the point where we went back the next few days afterwards while craving what we had just experienced. The service/value is on point. Keep up the great work!
