Service was excellent. Joan, our server, stood out as a pleasant, efficient, and sincere person. The manager taking the reservations also stood out, super helpful. The appetizer called Lola’s meatball was amazing. They will serve you bread and I believe basil butter. The first serving was complimentary and additional bread and butter has a small charge. It was so good, we just kept ordering it. We would eat Lola’s meatball with the bread and butter. Also try that combination with the clams. We ordered the clams spicy and they sure were spicy. Excellent dish with their bread and butter. We spent four nights at El Nido eating at different restaurants. This was our last night and we decided to eat at the restaurant we liked the most. Punta Playa was the winner.

Our hotel concierge, Miggy, kindly reserved a table with a view for us at Punta Playa through Clarisse, and from the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The service was impeccable right from the start. Our waiter went out of their way to explain the wine selection, demonstrating impressive knowledge. The first bottle of wine was unfortunately corked, but this was handled with grace and professionalism. They allowed us to taste several wines by the glass before settling on an excellent rosé, which perfectly complemented the meal. We opted for the Fideuà de Mariscos, a classic Spanish dish that is not often found done well outside its native country. Here, it was a wonderful surprise—rich in flavor, generously topped with fresh seafood, and as authentic as one could hope for in the Philippines. Each bite took us back to the Mediterranean. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, with attentive staff always ensuring our experience was seamless. It was clear from the number of guests being politely turned away that Punta Playa is in high demand, so reservations are absolutely essential. All in all, it was a fantastic evening of great food, superb service, and a touch of Mediterranean flair in the heart of Lio Beach. Highly recommended!

On Lio Beach there are a lot of restaurant choices, but this is the winner. It has everything you could ask for, location, service, scrumptious food and a winning menu at a reasonable price! Plus superb desserts. The paella is excellent.

We live (also) in Barcelona and can certainly judge the Spanish/Catalan cuisine quite well. And the seafood Fideuja in Punta Playa for 2 people (for a super fair 19 EUR together) is really top. The pan con tomato is rather not so authentic, you can safely omit that. Better invest in a good wine. The first one, however, was tilted (can also happen with wine with a screw cap in the temperatures in El Nido). The friendly waiter gave us a new bottle without complaint. Not like the day before at L'Assiette, where the waiter, with the really inedible rosé, only succinctly said it was "dry." And refused an exchange.

I had dinner with my partner a couple of nights ago and we have returned 2 more times. Without a doubt the best restaurant we have been to in El Nido. We liked everything! Starting with the location, a Spanish beach bar style with a Mediterranean air on the first line of Lio beach. The service is excellent, no detail is missing and the staff is attentive at all times to whatever you may need. Above all and most importantly, the food. We have tried practically the entire menu. It is worth highlighting the gazpacho, the bravas with two sauces with perfectly fried potatoes, neither too big nor too small, their black rice, the sirloin sandwiches with cheese and caramelized onion, the Andalusian-style squid and many more. Nothing to envy the beach restaurants in Spain. Without a doubt, a mandatory visit if you pass through El Nido. Thanks to the staff and especially to Marcos, their "manager" who treated us like at home being more than 15 thousand km away.

It was a great experience, because we had not tried bread the entire trip, and finally they gave us delicious bread, in addition to three different types of paellas, potato omelette, meat, fish, etc... It was a feast, unexpected After so many days of travel, and topped off, .....with chocolate with churros, white chocolate and dark chocolate, everything was super well presented, we thought he was kidding us, but no. We were a large group of Spaniards, and we were entertained in an incredible way. I recommend it to anyone who goes to Palawan, or is lucky enough to have their group stop here.

Excellent food. It's on Lio Beach. A great place to have lunch and then enjoy the late afternoon on the beach. Very tasty food. The dishes are a little more expensive than the more central area of El Nildo, but it's worth it for the spice and the view

We’ve eaten here a couple of times due to the excellent food, drink and service. All the staff are very knowledgeable about the food and are able to recommend complimentary food, if you’re unsure of what to have from their extensive and varied menu. A big thanks to Larrisa for her excellent choices and impeccable service.

Located right at the beach with a perfect view of the ocean, trees and islands. The food was outstanding. The gazpacho was delicious , they added pieces of salmon, on the side they serve eggs and bread. Perfect combination, The tartar de salmon was extra delicious. A combination of salmon, mango and the perfect spicy level. The calamari was cooked perfectly, and the sauce on the side was like no other we have tried.

It has great ambience with the music playing in the background. Waiter Den was also attentive to our needs and quick to provide us with whatever we ask for. Food was excellent although it might be a bit pricey. Great choice if you want to have a relaxing dinner surrounded by beautiful lights.

This place was recommended to us by a friend, they said to get the paella and that we did! We got Paella, Tofu, Meatballs, and Fish...all of the dishes were cooked well and well worth the money spent. The star, paella, was very flavorful, the seafood and chicken were not overcooked, the rice was the right doneness. The staff were very kind and friendly. Definitely visit this place when you are in Lio, El Nido! <3

My friend and I stopped in for some shared plates for dinner. Punta Playa is tucked in a small Lio Beach village if other restaurants and bars. We very much enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend it to other travelers.

We came here for two consecutive nights to have their chicken paella. On the first night we came (Thursday) they had a live band playing. Flavor and texture was on par with the good paellas we had in Spain. I was thinking they might’ve even imported some bomba rice! However on the second night there were lots of hard tiny pieces of possibly chicken bones and it was a bit annoying to keep biting onto it and spitting out. But our overall experience was great. We will come back again if we are ever back in El Nido!

This laidback beachfront restaurant is a breath of fresh air in El Nido. They have a solid range of tapas that go beyond the quintessential patatas bravas or slivers of jamon iberico. It will automatically transport you to Madrid or Barcelona, wherever you prefer. You can start your savoury feast with a nice cold serving of gazpacho and snack on some slices of pan con tomate. A large paella to share with the whole table is a must-order for its crisp, slightly charred edges – it also comes packed full of flavour and fresh ingredients. An order of the grilled rib eye (they serve best steaks in the island)  is definitely worth pigging out on. Of course, no Spanish meal would be complete without a good serving of bebidas. They make the best white sangria I have ever tasted. I could drink it all day. And if you still manage to find room, order a serving of most decadent lava cake you'll have in Palawan. From paella to tapas, Punta Playa does it right. It's one of the best places in El Nido worth spending your dough on.

After almost a month touring Japan and Palawan, we needed something like Spanish food and it was like being in Spain. The food very good, Spanish product very well cooked and the environment a paradise. Also, the service was perfect. He caught us a few meters from the hotel so we went twice
