Taste was very good, but portion of bowl rice’s like for dips , very expensive prices for what you get.

They offer a wide range of different currys and you have the option of choosing how spicy you want to eat. It goes from mild, over medium, hot to super hot. I really love spicy food but ordered only medium spicy. I wasn’t able to...eat the food and when I was there, no single meal from the other tables were finished as well. Would have love to eat there because the smell was absolutely amazing! But instead of this I saw a huge food waste because all the other meals weren’t finished at all. Can I recommend going there? YES! (Order mild even if you are used to spicy food) Would I go there again? No.More

Thank you for your feedback Nadine. It's always good to get a slap in the face once in a while. It helps us learn from our mistakes but I think you have exaggerated a little bit. You say that NOT ONE of the other meals...More

4 of us ate. You just have to walk in the door to know you have made a winning choice. The authentic aroma's just boss the whole restaurant from the moment you step inside. Great flexibility with all the food options, and proper cold beer...too. Give it a go, and walk away very very happy. Cheers folks. A true winning combo.More

Finally found this place after looking out for spicy food in El Nido; the dishes served were great and my wife found it to be way tastier than any Indian food she's had back home :-) The place smells amazing due to aroma of all...the spices at play and following our dinner, we also had a long chat with Zak who passionately narrated the story of how he came up with the name for the restaurant - make sure you dont miss this part when you're there ... highly recommended!More

Thanks a million for your excellent review. We never claimed to be an authentic or traditional Indian restaurant. Back home our Indian restaurants have radically westernized your cuisine and we tend to stick with that brand, so it's always a massive challenge for us, and...More

Gandhi must have a poor sense of taste. Out of three dishes ordered, they were all presented as blackened and over cooked. The use of spices was heavy handed with no balance of flavours, akin to eating a packet of spice mix. In the coconut...based curry there was no detectable coconut milk. I love chillies but the medium hot( just above mild which was regarded as “zero” by the staff ) was almost too hot to eat. One of us spent the night in the bathroom. The naan were flat, dense and oily, completely lacking that lovely light, flaky pastry we all love in naan bread. The rice was good- flavoured with saffron and cloves but rice alone cannot save that meal. I can find little to recommend in this restaurant- simply one of the worst dining experiences of my life.More

This is what really annoys me about TripAdvisor. A disgruntled consumer gets to exaggerate truths so much that they are beyond belief, but the listing owner doesn't have the rights to defend himself against derogatory slanderous and often outrageous reviews. In fact, my previous response...More

One of the best curries I have ever had. Enough said. I like it so much that I came two nights in a row. They are full of flavour like I’ve never had before.

Really good Indian food. You need to go across the street to buy your drinks but it’s not really a problem. The food is worth it. It’s a small place and it filled up quickly after we got there around 8 pm.More

All our dishes are available as vegan. We have seasonal mixed veg, lentils and chickpeas. Sadly we haven't managed to make paneer cheese with coconut milk, so that's not vegan (yet)
