Not your average Filipino food. Very tasty but small portions as it seems almost everywhere in the Philippines. Quite expensive for the size, over $13 for a starter and the Tuna Skewer is just that, one skewer! Was tasty and the chef did ask if we were happy, which is always nice. I would recommend people to go there, but don’t expect to leave full. Nice for a change from Adobo 😘
What I do find frustrating not just here but when they charge a service fee, I don’t believe the staff should expect a tip, but they do ! Nothing to do with this restaurant, just a general observation from being in the Philippines.

If you're in Puerto Galera, Resto Veranda is a must-visit! Located right on the beach, it offers delicious seafood and international dishes at great prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with stunning views of White Beach. Perfect for a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner. Highly recommend!

Spontaneous visit for lunch,
Risotto - very delicious, although not cooked with risotto rice so the aroma and spice was excellent!
Salad with tuna sashimi - awesome.
Price-performance is a 1+ because it stands out in quality with no off-peak prices.
There is still room for improvement in the service, it seemed a bit listless.
The only drawback who offers mojito should also master it, instead of lime a lonely slice of lemon, 3-4 small green shreds should probably be mint, no, then better not offer at all.

I’ve been to the Island four times now and going back again in February. This is the best restaurant on the Island. The food is very high quality and well presented. They offer a good selection in their menu, including international and European cuisine. The owner is the Chef, who very welcoming and very friendly, as is the staff who are very attentive. I can’t wait to go there in a few weeks, it’s a highlight of our holiday.

I brought my fiancé here for our special Valentine’s Day dinner. I’m American, my fiancé is Filipina, she hasn’t had a dining experience such as was provided by Resto Veranda nor cuisine such as was prepared by Chef Franz.
My fiancé and I enjoyed calamari fritte as an appetizer, French onion soup for a soup course and were then delivered our entrees. My fiancé enjoyed the beef medallion, I, the pork medallion. All of these items were wonderfully prepared and presented. The flavors and textures were exceptional! Chef Franz and his staff deserve much more than 5 stars, in our opinion. Absolutely attentive to our needs and prompt in their services.
The veranda, located on the beachwalk directly adjacent to the shore, provided a romantic background and the decor was spot-on!
In closing, if you vacation on Mindoro around Puerto Galera and are lucky enough to decide to stay anywhere near White Beach, it will definitely be your loss if you don’t enjoy a meal at Resto Veranda!

Pastas and pizzas are good. The chef who happens also to be the owner is approachable. They keep on checking with us on how’s the food. Staff are also approachable. Very nice resto. Will surely visit next time.

Visiting White Beach for our first wedding anniversary and chose Resto Veranda. So glad that we did!
Started our meal with the Thai salad (Yam Som-O) and garlic mushrooms… delicious, and a precursor of things to come! Our main courses were pork medallions “au citron” and spicy beef Veranda. Both were absolutely fabulous! Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert.
The prices are only slightly higher than some other restaurants on the beach, but it was certainly worth it. My only negative was there a slight communications problem. The waitress had trouble interpreting my English; fortunately my wife is Filipino and was able to converse in Tagalog. As an added bonus, the owner/chef personally visited each table to ensure everything was satisfactory.

I didnt enjoy the cordon bleu burger that I ordered there. It was dry and the inside of the burger was still pink. For me, its price of 420 pesos was not so worth it. I was disappointed actually because I was expecting a good meal because of the high reviews.
I was also surprised that service charge is 10%. In Manila, 10% service charge is high. But to be fair, I had dinner, later that evening, at a grilling station where the tables are placed at the boardwalk side and the service was not that great. But the service charge was also 10%.

Dear Jimm! Thanks for visiting Resto Veranda and reviewing it. We are sorry that our Burger is not meeting your expectstions! The description in the menu says “pure beef burger stuffed with ham and cheese”. We dont add additional fats to render the burger more juicy yo your taste! The pinky portion you mention is the ham! The burger is served with our own fluffy brioche bun and trimmings like mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup and pickles. You definitely were served a high class and healthy burger, not to be compared with so many other fat dripping burgers on the market! The service charge additional is indicated on each sheet of our menu - definitely no surprise! As well our Chef de Service was checking your meal with you and you commented that everything is fine!

Any visit to White Beach must include a visit to this fabulous restaurant.
Located literally on the beach you can listen to the sea roar as you relax and enjoy your food.
The waitresses were brilliant, they were attentive to our needs and answered our questions clearly and promptly.
Whilst we were enjoying the view and an ice cold beer the were quickly cooking our lunch
We were not disappointed with the speed or quality of the food we had ordered, every mouthful was savoured.
As mentioned above do not come to white beach with visiting this great restaurant

This is the best restaurant that I had tried in Puerto Galera. We often go to Puerto since it’s my husband’s hometown and often, we will not leave the place without having a visit to this restaurant. They have different menus to offer and it’s like bringing the world cuisines into one restaurant. My favorite is Coq Au Vin, which you can normally eat when you are in France. They cook this dish into perfection with quality ingredients. Their Sashimi Salad is quite a refreshing starter. They have good wine selections too to pair with your every meal. I always look forward to dining here when in Puerto Galera.

The ambiance in this place is an absolute beauty... calming, well decorated candles, warm lights. Best for dinner, while watching the sunset.
The Bolognese, Spicy Garlic Shrimps and Creme Brulee were ample serving with only quality ingredients used.
These dishes will truly leave you craving for more! Coming back here for sure ❤

While we were looking for a cozy resto with good food in Puerto Galera, we came across Resto Veranda and got impressed with their accommodating staffs especially the owners of the resto. We ordered Rilette as an appetizer, Catch of the Day, Tuna Skewer and Cordon Bleau Burger in Brioche for our main dish. We also ordered Bolognese - their food is salivating, superb! They serve large portion. We will never forget the Cordon Bleau Burger in Brioche, the home made bun compliments the taste of pure beef burger. The chef as well is doing table check, asking if we were enjoying the food. It is a great experience for us! Served fresh and hot!! 100/10 recommended!! 👌🏻

This place was absolutely delightful.
The atmosphere, the music, the food.
Such a relaxing place to unwind and treat yourself.
The fish was cooked to perfection. You can tell the the chef really takes pride in what he does.
It was the best meal we had while in the Philippines.
Will be back.
Highly recommend the Crème brûlée.

Joe was si nice and picked us up from Sunset resort and brought us to this restaurant and ordered thai salad, mixed salad, catch of the day, cheese risotto, chili crab, and some dessert. Everything was awesome! We are planning to go back to try the other dishes. We love it! Service was great too!

After 2 corona-years I'm finally back at my favourite restaurant in the Philippines! The hosts make you feel so welcomed and cared for, and the food is amazing as always. This time I enjoyed, among other tasty things, an excellent Singapore chili crab and also an amazing seafood pizza, served with a wonderful sunset in the background. Can't wait to be back again!!
