One of the greatest hotels in the world deserves a good coffee shop. Together with the nearby Clipper Lounge, the Causette allows you to eat, converse and get what you need to do over a light meal in total comfort. This is what excellent hotels are about.

This is a great spot for breakfast. Very central and convenient. Great selection- the eggs Benedict were as great as usual. Their coffee and marmalade are also excellent. Service is good although tables are quite close to each other.

I happened to have breakfast and coffee with my friends at this nice cafe shop in the Mandarian Oriental. To cut it short, both waiter's service and breakfast quality were great.

Cafe style food as the name suggests. Good variety of cuisines available. As with all the dining establishments in the Mandarin Oriental sophisticated and stylish and the service here is efficient and attentive. Open all day the menus switch from breakfast, to lunch, to afternoon tea (very popular) to dinner. The green papaya salad was a delicious choice for lunch.

We had 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches here. Pleasant space with tables spaced far enough apart and cleverly sectioned to give maximum privacy. Waiters knowledgable and friendly. There was an abundance of food for breakfast with western and Asian dishes and everything we tried was delicious. Lunch was a similar story. The battered fish, the satay chicken and the pea... More

I have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental once or twice a year over the last twelve years and I have regularly used Cafe Causette over that time. I really want to complement the management on the improvements they have made in recent years. At one time, the Cafe seemed a little tired. The old yellow menu books were lengthy but... More

Came here at lease once a week for mostly dinner. The service is good with fast service, so don't worry if you are starving! My favourite drink here is an Oriental Supreme. I have tried several dishes from Asian to European, my favourite is Hainan chicken rice.

I went there in nov/ dec. Like some complaints, I agreed Service was slow and had to get attentions of servers and food menu is limited. I had the Wan Tan noodle soup and the dumplings had too much fatty meats to my likings and the broth didn't fare any better. I didn't even bother with deserts or coffee. Seems... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
