About
Ho Lee Fook, which translates to “good fortune for your mouth” in Cantonese, is a funky Chinese kitchen inspired by old-school Hong Kong cha chaan tengs and the spirit of late-night Chinatown hangouts in 1960’s New York. Taiwanese-born chef Jowett Yu’s innovative cooking style reinterprets classic Chinese dishes and flavours with premium ingredients, modern techniques and a touch of humour.

Such delicious food, the beef short rib, chicken wings and french toast in particular. Definitely worth the wait as staff are really accommodating and friendly.

For starters the name of the restaurant is a great ice breaker for conversation and photos of the menu cover fly around the world. The street is great full of bars and restaurants all of which look good. Ho Lee Fook is dark inside but...More

What a great find! Located in Soho, no bookings taken, so we rocked up at 6pm (opening) - about 30 people queued, but no issue, once the doors opened, the front staff dealt efficiently with everyone waiting and we were in the restaurant and seated...More

Ho lee fook is a pretty cool place and the food is marvellous, the chicken wings and the wagyu short ribs in particular. Only drawback is the overly noisy athmosphere and the sewage smells that sometimes fill the room.

Delicious. Just delicious. We had a bunch of things, but the “Mama-something” dumplings and spicy hot wings I’d go back for right this second. My only regret is the photos all came out too blurry to use.
