Hazel & Hershey is an independent coffee roaster and shop on Peel Street just north of Elgin St. in Soho. They have an indoor area with communal table and bar seating as well as some outdoor seating. Opening hours are 10am to 7pm daily. I...recently stopped by and enjoyed a black coffee which was slightly citrusy and mildly bitter. The coffee had a nice roasted flavour, overall a pretty good cup of black, better than average around the city for certain. Overall, somewhat isolated up on Peel Street, Hazel & Hershey brews up a pretty good cup of black for those in the area and in the mood.More

Great coffee place which is hidden away at the top end of Peel St. If you are on the Mid-Levels escalator, it’s a good pit stop. Having found it now, I would go out of my way to go here. The coffee (macchiato) was good,...staff were friendly and the seating area is open, bright and spacious. There are high stools around the bar area and table seating inside. It is an easy space to sit without being disturbed or feeling crowded and cramped. There’s outdoor seating in the narrow courtyard running alongside the building. For the coffee obsessive (and there are a few in my family), there are lots of coffee tools and toys. Colourful tampers and a large poster of the coffee tasters flavour wheel caught my eye. As you enter, rows of shelves display their own beans in attractive Tiffany blue packaging with a B&W Hong Kong city sketch. The beans are reasonably priced and you can check out the date of their next roasting on their website. GETTING THERE: From the escalator it is much easier to get off at Caine Rd. Peel St is very steep so from Caine Rd, you get to walk downhill to the café, and avoid a very steep uphill trek.More

Fantastic coffee drinks and amazing pastries. The blueberry muffin here is one of the best I've had at a coffee shop. The espresso drinks seem to be well made here. There's also ample seating and great wi-fi. This is my favorite coffee shop in Hong...Kong.More

Widest selection of beans available for pour-over. Very extensive selection of white and black, coffee and non-coffee drinks. 10Mbit WiFi, power sockets, lots of seats inside and outside. Used to be overcrowded, but very pleasant lately.

This place came up in an online search as one of the highest-rated coffee houses in HK, and for good reason. Modern interior, full of quality coffee products, and the slow pour was fantastic.

They serve very good coffee here. Although the location was a bit hard (located on top of a hilly road) the coffee shop has good seating areas. It has also lots of coffee equipment and supplies for sale. Service was excellent.

I used to like this cafe a lot and would come here regularly for the latte. However, the standard seemed to have dropped recently. I brought a friend here last weekend and decided to try a new item on their menu - Matcha Latte. The...color did not look right when it arrived and the taste was so bad. It tasted like very weak matcha with milk. Such a disappointment. When I gave my feedback, the staff and most importantly the manager or boss didn’t seem to care. I probably will not come back any time soon.More

You might have to hike some stairs to get to Hazel & Hershey (like most places in HK) but it is totally worth it. This place is a cute colourful coffeeshop that knows good coffee. There is a small patio to sit outside and since...it is in between busy streets it's a very nice place to have your cup of coffee in peace. You can also buy your coffee essentials in the cafe to brew your own at home.More

I really wanted to write a nice review for this place. Love the location, the interior, all the equipment they have for sale, and the staff was great. But. The pour over coffee was not good. And then I ordered a latte instead, which was...also very mediocre at best. I had high expectations from this place, and am sad to say that they were not fulfilled. I will still visit again to purchase equipment as they have a really great selection, but I will drink my coffee elsewhere.More

Try the nitro coffee --- after a long walk up the hill to get to Hazel & Hershey, the refreshing nitro coffee is super refreshing. The downside is that the nitro technique overwhelms some of the subtle flavor of the beans. Hong Kong has a...lot of great coffee, and you need something to stand out. Some shops go for a European or Japanese feeling to their shops -- very simple, minimalist design -- and some try to cram every inch with detail. Hazel & Hershey falls in the middle. The feeling is eclectic, which stools made from skateboard decks, coffee books and equipment for sale and on display, and high glass windows for a decent view. A highlight of the shop is the variety of equipment and books on display. You feel immersed in coffee culture immediately. There's also a large tasting wheel on the wall for your convenience.More

Tired of chained coffee place like Starbucks? Come here and you'll find it refreshing. The decor reminded me of a small coffee shop in the hidden neighborhood in NYC. It's small ~ prepared to wait a bit for a seat inside, creating an intimate feel,...with a wall turned into a little display area like a gallery, and a cute 'backyard' just enough for a few tables outdoors. Tea and coffee are both served. The upper part of Peel Street has its charm as it's a bit away from the crazy crowds in Hollywood Road and Shelly Street with open, loud cafes where people sit there to be seen.More
