If nothing else, the view and atmosphere for dinning is very good and worth a dinner or two for an enjoyable eating experience. The menu is varied and a tad more pricy then most other restaurants of same quality, but it is worth it.
Parking available and easy to find on south end of Koror city central.

Elilai is the best fine dining restaurant in Palau. The food is delicious and our family really enjoyed our meal - even my vegetarian sister had something to eat. Our reservation was somehow lost so when we arrived we were seated in the back but the staff made the effort to switch us to a waterfront table after we ordered. Many guests from Palau Pacific Resort leave the hotel for dinner and try this place. Definitely worth trying when in Koror!

We had a wonderful dinner here about halfway through our holiday. There were four of us: my husband and I and our two teenage boys who eat a lot and we were all very happy. The restaurant is situated right on the waterfront so you have a lovely view and it is nicely decorated. The staff are all very friendly and the service is excellent. We started with fresh bread, straight from the oven and a delicious herby dip ... so good we had several rounds! The ceviche was excellent and the ginger gave it a lovely zingy flavor, while the vegetarian spring rolls were wonderfully light and went perfectly with the peanut sauce. My mangrove crab spaghetti was delicious and my husband enjoyed a very tasty baked fish with goats cheese. One son had the catch of the day which was also very good and my other son had a tasty spaghetti bolognese. The portions were a good size and the dishes were all full of flavor. I can recommend this place 110%.

I liked the restaurant and the food and the ambience. The waitresses were also very attentive, but too interfering. I wanted to eat a large soup and a salad for dinner. It might be unconventional but I expect that I can eat what I want. The waitress insisted that the large soup bowl was for 5 people and I ended up splitting it with my husband. Then I had to wait a long time for the salad and insist to get it as they wanted to serve it with another meal my husband had. It was a bit like a PC with a language correction program: whatever you want to write, you can't because the correction program writes something else. I ended up being hungry during dinner and afterward and quite frustrated. In the end I was not interested anymore to really get what I needed. I walked out hungry and in this regard it was the worst restaurant in Palau.

Decent restaurant. My husband and I came here for my birthday (December.) It’s convenient that they have a car service. My fish was ok. I wish the entrees came with some sort of rice or potatoes. Something seemed missing.... overall, good service and nice staff. It was a bit on the pricey for what we got. Food was average. I think people are paying to be on the water and a quiet place to eat. I personally liked the food better at The Taj- more flavor and way more food (a bit louder, but the final cost was cheaper at The Taj.)

I was there for lunch as well dinner. (I visited 4 times in total)
I think the Food, Location, Ambience and Service all together makes this restaurant very special!
The food is very good and the presentation is artistic too!
Lunch time is very nice floating feel on the water and the sunset view reflecting in the water is also great in the sunset hour as it is facing the west! (Recommend to start early dinner right before sunset hour)
The service is great. The waitresses wore the same colorful dress which for me the image relates to the beautiful tropical fish grouping in the water. Kristine the waitress remembers me and every time I visit she is always very polite and caring!
When I was there in the night for business, musicians were playing music too!

The day before my boyfriend’s birthday, I called Elilai and made a Birthday dinner reservation for 2. I asked if we could reserve the private room on the second floor. Unfortunately, The room had already been reserved for a private party. I was pretty bummed about that, however, they were nice enough to offer me a table at their VIP section on the first floor. Not what I wanted but better than the regular tables, I then made the reservation. The next day, upon our arrival the hostess greeted us, with a big smile she said follow me, she led us to the second floor. I was so confused at this point. I asked her what happened to the private party, and she said I have moved that party to the VIP section, it’s a win win because the VIP section is bigger so it was suited for a party while the private room was good for 2. I was so happy that they decided to do that switch. As we walked towards the room, I was amazed at the set up. Originally that room had two tables, they removed a table and set the other table right in the middle for us. We were greeted with a very nice server, Kristine. Let me tell you, she made our night the best. She asked us if we wanted to connect our phones to the speakers so we can choose our own music, my BF was stoked about that, he connected his phone and became our DJ throughout the night. Kristine’s customer service was exceptional! She checked on us from time to time, complimented on our looks, and made sure our water glasses were always full. She did an incredible job with communicating with me about when to bring out the birthday cake. Oh yeah, aside from their complimentary birthday cake they also let me bring my boyfriend’s favorite cake and stored it in the fridge for me. Yes we had two cakes. Kristine made really good suggestions about when to order, she suggested we order sooner because they had a party downstairs, if we ordered later we would have to wait long for our food to finish. The food was delicious! We had the shrimp scampi and the seared tuna for appetizers. For the main, my boyfriend had the chefs cut Angus steak and I had the ( I think is called the) Mangrove clam fettuccine. I was telling my BF that I haven’t had a foodgasm in so long. That’s how good the food was. Compliments to the chef ! Kristine, the hostess and the chef(s) made us both really happy, and definitely made the night a memorable night. I hope they get recognition because they went above and beyond !

Love this beautiful spot on the water in Palau, with coral reefs, clams and fish swimming right next to you as you indulge in the well prepared meals that Elilai has to offer. I was very impressed with this place, the service is great with the staff being very attentive.
One of my favourite days of the week at this restaurant is Thursday where they do a classic pastry pie. Being from New Zealand and not having had one of these in a very long time i was delighted to see this was an option on there menu.
Will definitely be visiting this place again.

Not only will you enjoy the relaxed yet upscale atmosphere and beautiful views, but Scott and his whole team are wonderful to work with and will make your visit worth the trip.
We planned a last minute C-level private event and Elilai was able to accommodate every request. Some of those requests weren’t easy. Scott and the team helped create a bespoke experience for our guests by sourcing hand carved gifts in woven palm leaf baskets, recruiting local Palauan performers and of course their delicious and beautifully displayed food. This restaurant worked miracles for our event and we are so very appreciative.
If you are on the island go visit and eat at Elilai Seaside Restaurant and Bar it will be worth it!

We recently enjoyed 10 days in Palau and stopped here for lunch on Day 1. The food was so good that we returned the following evening… and every night thereafter. Each dish was delectable—the fresh fish options included tuna, white snapper and parrot fish, each deliciously prepared, both grilled and baked. The fresh local lobster was a special treat. It was meaty and succulent. We also tried 3 different fresh pasta dishes: mangrove crab spaghetti, shrimp linguini and a mushroom fettuccine. All amazing. Taco Tuesday was also a hit: I had a taco sampler with delicious fish and chicken tacos in a fresh corn soft shell, while my husband enjoyed the burrito bowl. All of the dishes were of high quality. And don’t forget to try the homemade coconut ice cream. It’s divine.
Service is also tops. Kristine, one of the wait staff, so impressed us from day one with her graciousness, efficiency and friendliness. All the staff consistently extended friendly and warm hospitality. They work tirelessly , quick to refill water glasses, remove used dishes and refill the basket of freshly baked bread, as desired.
Elilai also provides free hotel transport within Koror, and their drivers are punctual to the minute. It’s a terrific service, especially after a day in the sun.
I wish we had Elilai in our home island but knowing that high quality cuisine thrives in Palau is an incentive for us to return.

Our server on all of our visits was Kristine. She was very attentive, friendly, helpful and advised us on things such as a frequent diner program. She answered all of our questions. We got a special desert for our anniversary diner in February.
Looking forward to our next visit before we go off-island.

We decided to start the New Year here for lunch, and we were THRILLED one thousand times over with the view, service, and food. The complimentary bread basket was served with a unique pesto dip that carried a hint of pepper spice. The fish tacos were delicious, grilled and blackened to perfection. The added soup and salad was very inexpensive, perfectly sized, and well-balanced in flavor.

Palau is a fairly small country with a limited number of restaurants so I was delighted the we chose what is undoubtedly the best for dinner. A great ambiance siting right on the water with trevally swimming right in front of your table and a beautiful view of the lagoon. The food is surely the best in Palau and the staff is very accommodating. They cooked up one of the fish we caught into an outstanding soup. Seafood was great and the steaks were prime aged beef. One of our most enjoyable dinner during the week we were in Palau.

I was blown away by the delicious food and stunning location of Elilai, where I saw some of the most beautiful sunsets of my life. Their menu has so many options, ranging from Filipino to Chinese, Japanese, and American influences….whatever you are craving, you will find it here, from the freshest seafood to the most delicious happy hour tacos. Their cocktails are fantastic as well and such a refreshing and delicious way to cap off a long, hot day in paradise. Their staff are attentive and their menu constantly rotating with new specials every day. Every meal I had there, and I had quite a few was delicious. Elilai is a cannot miss on your trip to Palau!

I was in Palau with a small group of people who had not met each other before arriving in Palau for a kayaking and snorkeling trip. Our guide took us to Elilai for our “get acquainted” dinner. It was sensational! The location on the water is beautiful and relaxing, and the meal was exceptional. Over the course of our trip, while we had limited opportunities to get to restaurants, we managed to return to Elilai two more times, including our final dinner before our flight home. We were so impressed with the consistently great food, ambiance, and service that we asked to speak to the chef in order to heap praise on him.
