I agree with a previous reviewer that the food there was much better prepared with the first owner. It’s still a great place to have lunch or dinner and one of the places in Palau to offer omakase for dinner by reserving ahead of time. Their shumai and gyoza are a downer now for me, but their sautéed kangkum (swamp spinach or Ong Choy) is delectable. They almost always have fresh sashimi and they have some of the better tempura and noodle dishes on-island. It’s on the main road, but also has share parking with other businesses so it can be a bit of a hassle.

My coworkers and I rolled in for lunch as we met Governor Ebai there for lunch. Just another below average Japanese style restaurant who can use a lot of improvement on the dishes. Service was ok. I liked the turtle display though.

Had a great night at Fuji, the food was great and the drinks cold all night long. The place is clean and the wood decoration gives it a Japanese atmosphere.

This was the BEST restaurant in Palau years ago when run by a master Japanese chef and his Filipina wife. The Palauan owner took it over and the food suffered. There is no comparison to what it was. It is a tired place I can't recomment.

This used to be one of my favorite spots for inexpensive Sushi in Palau, but their prices have gone up by 25-50% and their quality has gone down. Now you are paying quality sushi prices for mediocre food. I can no longer recommend this place, there are better Japanese places at these prices.

Fresh fish. Just average in dining experience. Service about average. Might be better when in high season?!

We ordered the Omakase menu for 2 (70 USD) and we were shocked by the portion presented. In fact it is enough for 3 to 4 typical Asian people! Trust me, don't order the menu if you just come in two. A la carte would be your choice. We felt so sorry when there were still many delicious food on table but we are all full. Dishes are all good but the Stream fish is excellent! The best I tried outside Hong Kong! The fish is fresh and cooking is just perfect. MUST ORDER even if you order a la carte!!! Moreover, mangrove crab is not our favorite. The cooking is good but just the texture of the crab is not as good as those crab in the sea I think.

The place might not be packed, but go in and sit down, the fish is so fresh, it's better and less expensive for some reason, if you order the combo's......just is

Enjoy some Japanese food for good value. The bowls of Udon noodles will be dinner enough for $8,-, but the sushi is also very nice here. (Just beware: they put wasabi IN it as well, so notify staff in advance if you don't like wasabi). Another thing we like were the gyoza. The salad was absolutely massive though: we shouldn't have ordered 2, too much!

While this is not strictly a japanese restaurant as they serve other dishes such as Chinese steamed fish, etc, the quality of the sushi and fish was superb. The service was prompt and the bill was modest compared to many of the other eateries in Palau. I would recommend this place, especially if you want to eat sushi.

We were wanting sea food so our cab driver took us here, not really what we meant but it was good. A few ordered the sushi and really liked it. Others ordered the tempura and that also was good, it took a long time but we were a group of 8. Try the taro chips, really good!

Fuji Restaurant is a well known establishment. The group menu is fantastic for first-timers. My favorite is the steamed fish - it is superb! For vegetables, do order the kang kong.

Since I had a good experience at Fuji last year I decided to try again on my first day. Boy I'm GLAD I did!! Everything here is just simply delicious while their price is super reasonable just as I remembered. I almost don't want to tell anybody about this place and just keep little secret to myself, but that would not be nice - and would defeat the purpose of being on tripadvisor! I ended up eating here for 5 nights, I had Special Bento(Boxed dinner of Sashimi, Tempura, beef stew, grilled fish, a gyoza & shumai with a bowl of steamed rice and miso soup all arranged beautifully), Hiyashi Chuka(chilled noodle topped with tomato, ham, egg, cucumber etc in sesame/soy sauce dressing), Fried rice and Gyoza dumplings, Shrimp & Veggie Tempura dinner and Hiyayakko(chilled Tofu appetizer) and Sushi (tuna, salmon, eel, ikura, shrimp and tekka maki). Everything was good but I was especially impressed with their Tempura. The way they did the batter so nicely thin and crispy...is like piece of art. It's cooked to perfection! You can't even find Tempura this good in fancy restaurants in Tokyo. Absolutely amazing. I wish I could run into their kitchen and personally thank the chef who made my perfect Tempura! The service is good too - all the waitresses are very polite, sweet and attentive. Too bad Fuji is thousands of miles away from me - otherwise I'd go there every week (seriously they have so many items on the menu I won't run out for a long time!) When you are in Koror and in a mood for home made Japanese food, head straight to Fuji. You will be happy : )
