... The food is genuine, primarily asian, good portions, family owned restaurant, good service, well priced. The restaurant is off the beaten path and at first when walking to it gives impression one is lost. The exterior is rustic and it’s located towards the end of a long driveway near a dock.

They found the formula to success so I think it has remained unchanged for many years. Great homestyle cooking, large portions using the freshest ingredients and friendy efficent service. Thanks Michelle we miss you

The food and service at this local restaurant was just excellent. We started with miso soup for the six of us, which was also excellent. We ordered two stir fry with fish, a pork chop, a sweet and sour shrimp, a noodle dish and another stir fry. Everybody loved their choices and the freshness of the food. We recommend a return visit as the restaurant is a solid choice for tasty local food and drink at a fair price.

This review is quite long due, but nevertheless is worth it.
When we found out this restaurant, it was the only place we went for dinner.
Every time we went there, we felt like home, just like at a grandmas place.
No matter how full was the restaurant, they always made sure to find a place for us.
Food was delicious, and the prices was low. We we a group of 6 people, and all of us were astonished by the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. Even after 3 years we still remember this place, and will definitely visit the next time we will be there.

Unfortunately this place seems to have gone downhill rapidly since the last online reviews. They no longer serve sashimi, bat soup or crab, which were some of the favorite dishes. The clam soup was big enough for 6 people but only 3 clams. The sweet and sour shrimp sauce was not very good. Nice people, casual, and good prices but I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

you must be a seafood and Japanese and far east kitchen lover to enter this restaurant . Fresh seafood good service the seating is basic but the food is perfect and restaurants are mainly about the food

Very local atmosphere. Great food, large portions. Fresh poky was awesome. We were there for lunch and dinner and had great experience both times. Recommend!

We walked in and weren't to sure. My dad was raised in Japan. This is the food he grew up on. As authentic as it gets. We had three dishes, each better than the last. The yakisoba was the real deal. I think you can't go into Carp expecting American Japanese food or you will be disappointed. We thought it was great food, good service and a fun experience.

Being that the owner is the chef, you can't go wrong with the all natural tasty array of food that you can try. I love especially the environment of the restaurant, being so private and away from all the small city noise.

i went their once. good food and service. we order sashimi, fried rice, beef stairfry, we cant finished even sashimi.protins are so big.

The friendly waitress always served us well and gave us free bananas or free sushi. Food portion is large, value for money and served fast. The place might be a bit hard to find but definitely a hidden gem. We ate there few days since we like the place so much. Even the local patronise the place.

We visited here on a dive vacation. A local taxi driver recommended this restaurant to us and it was the best food ever! We tried 5 different dishes, not knowing what any were. All of them delicious and the portions were huge! Super friendly, family run business. Owners thank you with all there heart when leaving. Very friendly, kind hearted people.
Very good prices and exceptional food. You cannot go wrong!
Highly recommend to all.
