We came for dinner with friends and throughly enjoyed our experience - very good food, nice wine, and well-informed and charming staff. Well, except for the manager, that is! We were walking past the Royal Beach Hotel (where the restaurant is housed) a week later...and decided we’d liked it so much we’d go in and make a repeat booking for our wedding Anniversary a few nights later. Here’s where a great place got let down by a poorly behaved manager. We couldn’t get in to the restaurant from the beach entrance but we knocked on the glass and eventually somebody came out and opened a side door. When we asked if we could come in to make a booking for our anniversary he told us (whilst brilliantly staring in to the distance to avoid any eye-contact with us) that he was the manager, and the restaurant was fully booked for dinner the whole week. He told us all this with, I have to say, a real tone of triumph - as if, somehow, he’d won the argument with us. No “I’m sorry”. No “how about next week”. Nothing. When my wife asked politely if he wouldn’t mind looking in our general direction he thought this was mildly amusing. Needless to say, we won’t be rushing back as his restaurant clearly doesn’t need bookings from the likes of us - which is odd, given that Israel is still in the middle of Corona issues and not letting any tourists in at all. What a shame - a great restaurant spoiled by a poor and uncaring manager!More

A definite recommendation. It took a while to get us seated so they automatically offered us a glass of "Champaign" while we waited which was not long at all. We found the service excellent and had a wonderful conversation with the waiter yair who was...both attentive and helpful. My wife began with the red tuna tartar the which was full of flavor even though it was only lightly spiced. I tried a different carpaccio I think it is the Intias but I found it very bland with almost no taste. They quickly switched it with a sea food cigar which although I don’t usually go for fried food was very good especially with the picante sauce for dipping. My main course was the Nebraska Sirloin with Jerusalem artichoke, almonds and artichoke cream. It was simply one of the best steaks I have had in recent years and that is no exaggeration. My wife stayed with fish having the salmon which also very good and not overdone . For desert we decided on the bavlas chocolate which was like a snicker bar and that is said as a complement (even though I would have preferred it a bit less sweet), and the piruteli which again was a pleasant surprise. The wine list was nicely varied, and though a bit pricy with a high mark up, it is what you would unfortunately expect to pay in a good restaurant. Make reservations well in advance since they are usually full. The restaurant is located across the street from the beach and there is outside seating, so although there are cars driving by you do get a nice sunsetMore

In the morning the restaurant is for dairy breakfast. In the evening all the kitchen pans etc are switched to meaty !! There is an open kitchen. We stayed at the Hotel for three nights ....and ate here on the first night. We were so...impressed that we almost had to beg for them to find us a table for the second night. We were not disappointed.More

Testy food, clean and food safety kitchen are very seldom in this city. Your winter menu is really great. I tested leaf salad and salmon. Piece of art! Open and clean kitchen with team in clean uniform make me believer in food safety here. Service...is more then appropriate.More
