We were walking in the old city and saw the big sign of hummus and falafels. The place looked very local so we decided to pop on, also the priced seemed very reasonable and even low, in comparison.

The hummus was tasteless, as was the salad. The pita bread was cold. The pine nuts were fried in regular oil which was poured over the hummus distastefully. The mushrooms were not fresh but canned. Don't go there!!

The hummus Abu Shukri serves is the best hummus ever eaten by me. I did eat there before (1971-1974) on a regular basis. In those years it was the best hummus in town and 40+ years later it is the best hummus in the world.!!...More
If you are looking for tasty local food (mainly hummus) in Jerusalem old city, this is a veeery good option. (highlighting pine nut hummus). Great food for only 124 shequel for 3people, really a good experience. We will repeat before heading the next stop.

We stopped here for a quick nite and found this gem hiding in plain sight right by Jaffa Gate. The pine nuts hummus was hands down the best we’ve ever tried.
They have freshly squeezed juices too and an Arabic coffee with cardamom was truly...More
