The waiter was really nice and the food was delicious! We had Kabab and mixed salad. The mixed salad for 2 people already filled the whole 4 person table completely. Prices are totally ok, not expensive.

Our last night in Bethlehem, our group was looking for a place to eat. We were walking along the street and found this restaurant. We were seated quickly with a very friendly staff. The food was cut and prepared fresh. A variety of traditional salads...with grilled chicken and lamb. I have traveled many times to Bethlehem and the chicken at this restaurant was the best I have ever had. The whole experience was great.More

If you would like to have a good meal - both tasty and good quality - this is a place to choose. The menu is not big - quite a small variety, but very good. Highly recommend lamb shishlik and kebab. The service and personnel...is great, and the prices are reasonable. It’s also located on one of the central streets of Bethlehem.More

Abu Shanab is located 15 minutes walk from Manger Square and close to the big hotels along the main street. We ate meze here three times during our stay and we were not disappointed. The lamb chops are really tasty and tender, but a bit...expensive and very small. You should order at least three if you want more than a little taste.More

Recommended by our hotel clerk, we enjoyed our long walk from Manger Square to there. We had been eating a fair amount of arabic food but this was so fresh and offered a couple dishes as starters we had not had yet. The Shish-ka-bob was...the best I have ever had! Recommended local wine ' Cremisan' vino tinto was a perfect pairing.More

We were recommended to go here, and I am really glad we did ! Decor is simple, but the people are lovely and the food is delicious ! Apparently Abu Shanab means 'big moustache' ... and yes, the owner lives up to the reputation !...If you get lost / forget the name - ask for 'big moustache' !! One of the things I ordered was a parsley salad ..... expecting tabouli ..... Much hilarity, as we questioned ..... apparently, the parsley 'salad' was the 'tzatziki' like dip that came with the bread ...... it's all in the perception ! It was delicious ! Staff were lovely, and even stood in the street to flag down a taxi for us !!More

This is a great Arab restaurant located in Bethlehem. It is so good! The salads are great and the hummus is very special. Even better are the lamb kebabs -- OMG! This is not to be missed if you are in Bethlehem.

If you happened to visit Bethlehem, this traditional restaurant (since 1936) is a right place to have a lunch. Very good starters, decent lamb chops (a bit overcooked - according to the local taste) and fine lamb kababs.
