Food is good but store manager named Huyen had terrible service attitude. We complained to the restaurant manager but it looks like does reach to the owner. They ignored and never come back as promised. So disappointed and regret for a good Japanese restaurant with...these staffMore

I was in a business trip alone and my hotel recommended this restaurant. Food was very good, people very nice. The only bad point is that they were a bit slow.

khang is one of my favourite Japanese restaurant in town. could'nt remember when was my first time there back in early 90s of the last century😀. You would find the Japanese family style restaurant. menu is extensive and I guess there are not few chinese...or vietnamese mixed disks. the modest lunch sets for single customers are very popular. the foods are generally good. sashimis are quite fresh, mostly from local fish. the prices are on the above average side. the shop looks small outside but quite big inside and very busy at lunch time. better book your table in advance. note that all shoes off entering the shop. Services are average.More

Just like other typical Japanese restaurants, this one is small but food and service quality is very high. My Japanese colleagues love it! I strongly recommend to everyone who loves Japanese cuisine.

Khang offers a genuine Japanese experience expected by any customer who is a Japanese food lover. Bar style at ground floor or private rooms upstairs, make your choice. Twice visit in two different contexts. Will come again. Please take off your shoes at the entrance.

I have been here maybe 20 times & the standard of food is always excellent. I prefer to sit at the long bar downstairs where again the service is very good. My only criticism is the recently it has got more expensive.

Food and seating at Khang was nice. Ordered mix of sushi, tempura and salad. Food was fresh. BUT when ordering additional dishes, took a long time. One didn't even come.

Khang appears to be one of the more traditional and genuine Japanese restaurants in Hanoi, which are not as common as most people might think. A lot of Japanese mid-range restaurants nowadays give one the impression that they are more like casual fast food joints....Not that there is anything wrong with their concept, but it is good to visit a Japanese restaurant where the food is prepared upon your order and the dishes take their time arriving at one's table. The fact that Khang is the sister restaurant of Kyy might have got something to do with it. For those of you who do not know, Kyy is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Hanoi and stepping in gives one an impression of being transported to Japan. I wouldn't go into specific dishes here as I believe most of their dishes are very good. What I can say is that for Japanese dishes, freshness is the key factor. Go there and taste for yourselves!More

Today again, my friend invited me to join Japanese food in Hanoi, but not in the restaurant with the "japanese name". It's quite Vietnamese : KHANG. I heard that she had to call for order first because it's quite busy. It's small place near Vincom...tower. We enter the restaurant then it's time to fill up my stomach. I always the loyal fan of sashimi and the first dish is sashimi with salmon and tuna. It's worth my money. I like to eat sashimi with seaweed salad & crab eggs. And that's the moment I think my meal turned to awesome. This is the best seaweed salad I've ever eaten in my whole life. I eat as much as I could. The third dish was the fried rice with tuna inside. It's nice and final, I and my friend, we share a big udon. I have to say that, I'm so full and properly, I will come back soon with my husband to show him the best salad ever. The price is find to me because it's lunch. However, I hadn't taste the desert, just because I don't like black bean. Overall, I think it's worth if you love to eat!More

My Japanese friends brought us there for lunch. We are a part of 6 and took a room with the leg space under the table (so that we could sit properly, instead of having to fold our legs!). My friend told me that this restaurant...has a menu that allows us to order a rice and ramen combi - each in smaller bowls compared to the regular sizes. This is good as it allows guest to try both and yet not over-eat. There was around 12 types of rice and ramen types on the menu. Of course there were also the normal ala carte. All of us ordered our choice of combo and everything was served to us within 20 minutes. I tried the Ebi fried rice and signature Ramen in Khang soup (understand "khang" means meat or pork shoulder broth). The set also cam with some jelly dessert and a cup of ice or hot local coffee. The service was very friendly. Atmosphere was authentic. Not sure how I can find this place on my own in future but I will try should I be back to Hanoi for work. Not easy to find so only the locals would know how to get to this place.More

This restaurant was excellent! The food was as good as we have eaten in Japan. We ate a large dinner with drinks (a la carte) - 5 people: US$67. Such good value. The Tori Kara, Ebi Tenpura, Maki rolls were all very tasty. As we...were taken to our authentic Kotatsu/Tatami Mat room, my son told the staff that my husband and I speak Japanese. So, the entire evening was spent talking Japanese. Good practice and well impressed our children! However, the staff do speak English and the menus are also in English. We would highly recommend this restaurant.More
