We’ve been visiting Hummus since it’s opening, and today we just had a fantastic late lunch there after sheltering in place for the past two months. The falafal is so fresh and delicious, as was the cauliflower pita. Thank you for the complimentary muhallebi. It was amazing. If you haven’t tried this coconut pudding dessert flavoured with rose water, fresh mango, and toasted almonds-you really should!

There’s nothing quite like fresh baked pita bread and hummus which permeates this delightful vegetarian establishment. With its diversified Middle Eastern menu, which includes the likes of shakshuka, excellent falafel, salads, dolmas and more... Their menu is artfully crafted offering attractive indoor and outdoor dining and given its location is an adventure in itself!
There’s even a play room for children so the adults can truly enjoy themselves!

This was the best hummus I've had on a multi-month trip across Southeast Asia and one of the better meals I've had. Everything about the experience was great. Nice environment, fast getting the food out, and a nice complementary piece of baklava for dessert. The falafel for 100 baht was a great deal, large falafel balls, quite filling, and a side of tahini for dipping. The Hummus Msabbah was a little pricier for those on a budget (230 baht), but was amazing. Best hummus I've had on my travels in Bali, Vietnam, and now Thailand. Paired with a local pilsner beer and the entire meal was under 500 baht. Highly recommend!

Food: 3 stars
Good size portions. The price was higher than the Thai restaurants in the area. Expectations were high for their Hummus, which unfortunately did not live up to the otherwise good reviews. The hummus had no taste and the pita bread was boring and dry.
Service: 2 stars
The restaurant did not accept creditcard and we were not informed about this before we had to pay. When I asked for help on where to find an ATM, the staff could not help. At a minimum they could try to help me since they are local and this could not be the first time a customer is in this situation. Spent time to find an ATM and left my girlfriend waiting at the restaurant.

Nice place to go with friends. Inside and outside seating. I like that Hummus has a simple menu, but enough selection. Very fresh food. The falafel sandwiches (in pita bread) are quite large with 4 falafels instead of what looked like 2! And there were other options, such as roasted cauliflower sandwich. There are 4 or 5 options for hummus, such as plain, with avocado, etc.It was delicious, and the bread was fresh and nice, though It would have been better hot. Don't miss it, down a long, walking alley-way.

We had a horrific experience here. Never did I imagine that in today's world we could be faced with Racism.
Being Indian vegetarians we were looking forward to dining at the restaurant as it offered an array of vegetarian food. As we entered the restaurant we were met by the owner who denied us a table despite there being enough empty tables . My husband requested him that we could wait for a bit for a table .We needed a table for 3 people only out of which one was a 9 year old child.
The owner flatly refused saying there is no scope for a table. A very kind German lady witnessed this off hand behavior of his and offered that we could share her table as she was dining alone.
As we sat there looking at the menu we notice atleast 4 different groups of 3-4 people each coming in without reservations ( all of who were European/ white skin ) were being escorted to tables.
On witnessing this we did confront the owner who was suddenly taken aback at our observation. He just tried to brush the entire episode aside knowing very well what he had done . We left without eating .
I would never recommend this place to anyone. The man who owns the restaurant needs to a few lessons in life .
It was the worst experience of our life.

We are not racist! we are proudly welcome EVERYONE to our restaurant, not based on skin color or origin.
The clients didn't made a reservation, since we was fully booked we offered them the option to sit on the bar and the clients refused.
The clients didn't informed us they wish to change table once we have another table available.
The clients received menu and free welcome drink like every other of our customers.
Other clients that was already sitting on the bar waited to available table, once we can offered them they moved.
We are very sorry for the client's experience and we welcome them back to improve the impression.

I came by for dinner at 6pm and the restaurant was still relatively empty. You can get a seat outdoors or indoors. If you sit outdoors, you can probably see how the pita bread is made. On the other hand, sitting inside, you can have a peek of the kitchen.
Apart from the ala carte menu, there is also a set menu. However, the items in the set can't be swapped out and I wished there was a little more flexibility to top up for swapping out some of the dishes, e.g. the standard hummus for the mushroom one.
I got the roasted cauliflower (฿100) which interestingly had a knife plunged right in the middle of it. It's a very interesting way of presenting a dish. The dish did not come out hot though, but it was still very tasty, and came with dips of salsa and zucchini sauce.
I highly recommend the green shakshuka (฿260) as it comes out piping hot and very fragrant. You can smell the caramelised onions. There's also a good mix of broccoli and spinach. You also get the richness and saltiness of the feta cheese. This dish also comes with a pita bread.
I got a mushroom hummus (฿240) and this was so smooth. I also liked how well seasoned the mushrooms are.
I also want to make special mention of the service, as they offer you a small glass of their house drink as a welcome drink. At the end of the meal, you also get a piece of baklava.

Welcome drink on arrival which was tasty, food delicious and cheap. A leaving dessert was given with the bill which was baclava and so delicious. You can sit indoor or outdoor, both areas are pleasant. Food and drink tasted good and fresh.

Eaten here three times already and each time was delicious. Creamy hummus, soft, warm pitta and crunchy falafel. Shakshuka also delicious.
When you arrive there is a small complimentary lemonade and after you eat a complimentary baklava. Both are so tasty and just a really nice touch.
I recommend coming with a friend or two and getting a set menu to share because then you get to try more of everything.
Only drawback is that because it’s so good, it is very busy and it’s best to reserve a table. Also the customer service is very efficient, mostly because they want you in and out as fast as possible I imagine, but never pushy or rude about it.
Highly recommend!
Sorry for the worst photo ever - forgot to take a pic before I started because I was exited to dig in. This is the grilled cauliflower hummus with a side of falafel balls and the trimmings.

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend. Staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere outside was lovely.
I had the sandwich set which came with the falafel sandwich (falafel in pitta), fried potatoes and a drink and my girlfriend had the sandwich on its own and it was perfect for the two of us as we shared the potatoes.
Would definitely visit again, current backpacking Asia and it was lovely food and still within the budget. Can’t recommend enough

I visited twice; once to do recon and once to dine. Both times the reception was 5 star! Quick, friendly and really made you feel like a welcome guest. Special touches: (1) a small glass of their house drink (non-alcoholic) which was simply delicious and definitely had me ordering a larger size and (2) a nice bite-sized baclava (am I spelling that correctly?) which also had me thinking I would order it again… very smart marketing and a great way to make you feel like a special guest! I ordered the “cauliflower sandwich” (it it a vegetarian pita wrap stuffed with grilled cauliflower, other veggies, hummus and boiled egg). Super filling; I could barely finish it. The only constructive criticism I have is: the food was a little bland in that it lacked salt (most food in Thailand does and they do provide nice sea salt and peppercorn grinder)… I covered it in salt and pepper however it was a little bitter (probably the cauliflower) and also, every bite tasted the same… adding some taste dimension (and perhaps a pinch of sugar) would go miles toward making this an amazing meal!! I loved the grilled hot pepper and hot sauce provided. Nice presentation!! Overall I say 4/5 stars… I will go back and try a few more things on the menu!!

Super yummy food! I was elated that they could accommodate my gluten allergy and they were actually knowledgeable about it. Their menu also indicated the gluten friendly items. My partner is not gluten free and we both really enjoyed this meal.

I ate at Hummus Chiang Mai twice. On each occasion I had hummus, which is accompanied by pickled tidbits. I have eaten hummus all over the world and this stuff was just super. The meal was finished with a complimentary piece of Middle East baked goods, maybe baklava, also yummy.

If you like hummus, eat here when you’re in Chiang Mai. We visited twice, and both times we ordered too much because everything on the menu looks good. They also offer the local Red Truck Red Ale, which goes down an absolute treat.

Dining at Hummus was a treat. The diverse menu offered a fantastic array of flavours. The ambiance and attentive service complemented the food, creating a memorable meal. The falafel was delicious. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. PS - their home made pita breads were delicious and seeing them be made fresh at the front of the restaurant was a treat.
