I had a dinner with my girlfriend at the Louvre. The salad and fish served were great. The service was also nice. They also had their own wine from one of the wineries in Ethiopia.
Best of all, they had air warming lights for the chilly air outdoors. So it creates a comfy atmosphere. The location is a bit sketchy since it is in the middle of living quarters.

Cozy place with wonderful decor. You will truly feel transported to France, eating quelque chose in Paris. Food was average though. We had a quiche Lorraine (so-so) and onion soup (so-so again).

We stayed at the Louvre for 4 nights between excursions to South and East Ethiopia and absolutely loved it! From the quirky decor to the wonderful food, large rooms and comfy bed, it was the perfect experience. We can’t wait to go back!

It’s not easy to find but the place is lovely. There’s tables outside too and we happened to find a live nice concert. The prices are low. We ordered onion soup which was good but the main course was overcooked, roquefaurt cheese sauce was not that tasteful and the potatoes seemed reheated. The night was saved by their cakes who are really delicious and the portions are super big.
Sincerely I wouldn’t recommend it if you expect a great dinner however for something casual it could be ok.

Been coming for a while for eats and drinks. Unfortunately it will be the last time for eats. French Fries were incredibly bad...tasted plastic. Beef sandwich was drowned in a sauce of some kind which was not good. Told the nice waitress our complaint...but like most Ethiopian restaurants there was no interest in anything. Asked her to tell the cook (can't be a chef) how poor it was..doubt if she would. Is the hotel is living on past glory as it's steadily going downhill. I found the food embarrassingly bad. Shame as it's a nice place. Other much better French and Chinese nearby.

Already came in 2017 the quality was not there. I tried the experience again in August 2023 and there even worse, sliced veal with cream without cream and boiled meat, also fillet of beef with disappointing pepper sauce and flavorless meat. This restaurant lets itself go. But the person living in this neighborhood has no choice. Too bad there is no competition

Food is great, but it is self serve. There are servers they just don't come to the table. You order from the bar, collect your menu from server station. Not all items ordered will arrive so just order extra and hope for the best.

Eating at Louvre is like eating at a bistro in Paris. The atmosphere is lovely and so much fun. The food is good, although I admit I always get the same thing (beef bourguignon). This time we also got the large tapas platter to share, and the salumi and cheeses were very good. The service can be slow, so plan ahead.

I have been going since it was opened a while back... whenever I suggest the restaurant to family and friends... the food and the service never failed me. The chocolate mousse is the best. Especially the customer handling is what I like the most .... well-mannered staff ... attentive to their customers. i once left my phone on the table and went home they were able to answer and say its safe with us and i took it the next day and the battery charged. i was honestly impressed.

Used to be regulars. Havent been much recently. Has it changed hands ????
3-00 pm on a Friday. Sat downstairs.. Asked what type of ice cream. Told lemon. Yes please says my wife and a sprite.. I ordered chocolate mouse. After 5 minutes... Oh sorry lemon finished. What else vanilla ?? ok we will have one vanila ice cream..
So a chocolate ice cream arrives. No thanks we did not order nor do we want chocolate ice cream.
Chocolate mouse fine. Sprite is a sprite. Go upstairs to pay the bill..
Billed for over 600 birr including chocolate ice cream we did not orderor eat and an expresso we did not order or have.
First attempt at correcting bill still wrong.
Eventually found a staff member downstairs who went up and got correct bill at 3rd attemp, 309 birr. Correct!!. Have the owners left for Paris????, . This was the worst experience I have had in Addis for years. Very very poor.

lovely hidden restraunt ,food is international i expecially enjoyed the club sandwich i had and the staff were pleasent and there was wi fi aswell so an added bonus as it is hard to get online in ethiopia ,would def recommend a visit to this place.

We loved the place, with its indoor and outdoor spaces. We got a good impression when they brought us a highchair when they saw our daughter. But we got too disappointed when the chicken had absolutely no taste, the sauté potatoes seemed had been reheated several times (they were hard and tasteless) and they made a mistake in the bill too. Besides, there were only two clients and service took ages. I was expecting much more of a place with such a name and reputation. A shame.
