The ambience and decor of the restaurant is amazing. I will say I was underwhelmed by the food, especially as it is being attached to Chef Marcus. We had M Fried’s Festival as we were a group, but it was disappointing as the chicken and fish was very dry. Also the menu could do with more variety/options.
However the highlight of the my night was the service by waiter MERHAWI . He was so polite, informative, attentive and overall provided an amazing dining experience for us. Even with the food he relayed out experience to the chef and they offered to remake our food. I will be returning based off his service alone.

Marcus's location is one if not the best and highest restaurant I have been in Africa, not only, it offers a breathtaking 360 degree view of the city, but also, the ambience and the atmosphere are second to none. The menu offers refined food combining typical Ethiopian dishes with international cuisine, while the personnel and management are very kind and attentive with excellence service. It's a must visit icon in Addis Ababa.

The ambience was impeccable. Our waiter, Minitesinot, provided outstanding service, offering expert guidance through the menu selections. The Marcus Salad was particularly delightful. While the M’s Whole Fried Chicken was sumptuous, it proved to be overly generous for a family of three. We would suggest opting for this dish when dining with a larger party or if you have a hearty appetite.

I had the chance to see this place and didn't like the dishes and the waiters were so dizzy and inattentive while serving us. We chose our wine preferences, and she (waiter) brought another one suggesting strongly it has the same taste but found out they scam us with more than triple price!
I suggest not to let the waiters to choose or change your order without your detail knowledge!
Found out it's so undiscipline and unacceptable behavior!
only enjoyed the view.

Went to dinner with a group of friends last week, the restaurant is beautiful, with great decor, atmosphere and great views of Addis at night. The live DJ playing Afrobeats was a nice touch. Our waiter, Shimelis, was fantastic, and very attentive, provided us with great services and gave us recommendations on the menu. Since we were a big group we went with the family feast and unfortunately, the food was very mediocre at best, my chicken was dry and a friend of mine had undercooked chicken. The mac and cheese was so disappointing, boxed Mac and Cheese tastes better in comparison. Was expecting better for a fine dining restaurant.
The best thing on the Menu was the cocktails.

As a foodie, I am one of the few privileged people invited to check this place out in the lead up to their grand opening and I had one of the best experiences ever from service to great food to comfort to enjoying an exceptional view of the city.
I was invited by , Ms. Rahel Bacha, one of the young women who work there, a hostess responsible for reservations , to enjoy a great lunch and even before they officially opened, their service was top notch and I was made to feel like a very important customer.
Ms. Rahel has also been exceptionally helpful a number of times as I tried to book tables for friends who wanted to go to Marcus Addis for anniversary dinners and she made our lives very easy doing everything she could to reschedule our bookings to earlier in the evenings so my friends wouldn't have to wait too long. Her commitment to make sure customers have a good experience shows how well trained the staff is at Marcus Addis to the best international standards and I am very proud to have such a high end restaurant in my city Addis Ababa! Anyone going to Marcus Addis will not regret it!

My experience at Marcus‘s restaurant in Ethiopia was absolutely remarkable everything from the build out to the ambience to the view it was exceptional. Me and my girlfriend started at the bar and the bartenders name was aslet and he took great care of us talk about expertise his mixology skills and his ability to explain backstory made the experience splendid
We were part of eight we ended up getting seated around 945 and our waiter his name was Shemelis he took great care of us it’s not easy to take care of a party. The way the flavors the food everything was delicious we ended off with a nightcap around midnight and was gracefully exited at the end of our meal I’ll recommend this place to anyone who wants an amazing experience. Hats off to the staff and kitchen for an amazing dining experience

The dinner was absolutely delightful, and our waiter, Mehrawi, provided impeccable service, ensuring that our experience was truly enjoyable. We were thoroughly impressed by his attentiveness and dedication, which made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. It is without a doubt that we will be returning in the future.
When you go there, ask for Mehrawi... You will be in good hands...

While traveling to South Africa we had a long lay over in Addis Ababa.
How lucky were we that we could eat lunch at Marcus Addis. I was so excited to eat here on the 47th floor ! We brought our guides with us. We all enjoyed a magnificent lunch with Ethiopian favourites with a twist. We tried the hummus which was served with crisp injera and also the fish cakes with crispy potatoes with an avocado dressing. So lovely. Finally we tried the Addis York. This was a fried chicken with Doro wat, a lovely spicy stew/sauce that just made everything come together. There was also a chicken wrap in a injera bread.
The twist was the fried chicken crusted with Teff and the wrap! Taking this meal to a very new plane at 47 stories!

My experience at Marcus Addis was amazing. The view from the 47th floor is stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff were very friendly, welcoming us warmly and providing excellent service throughout. Our waiter, Muluken, was extremely professional, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the food and drink menu and explaining everything in detail. Highly recommended!

I came to this place few days ago and was overwhelmed by the amazing art work, spacious absolutely magnificent. Happy to say I know Marcus from his amazing restaurant in San Francisco, he was not around but happy to be warmly welcomed by Chef Ogi an incredible human being amazing customer service, very real and friendly and of course an amazing Chef. I truly enjoyed every bite, I have been all over the world and dined in a 3,2,1 Michelin restaurants, I can give this amazing restaurant a three star Michelin. I was going to invite my old friend and his family to celebrate his 85th birthday to Castelli but quickly changed my mind and decided to come to Marcus restaurant, that was a great decision. We had our private room and ask the Chef to design a custom menu for our celebration, sure enough Chef Ogi did not disappoint, he exceeded our expectations and truly blew our mind with all the amazing dishes he created, thank you Chef. But of course our polite Server came introduced himself to me and the rest of the guest, Haile was polite, professional and did an amazing job providing an excellent service, thank you Haile. I have been to this restaurant twice, I will definitely come back one more time before I go back to San Francisco. Marcus very proud of you and I will definitely tell all my friends and family to come and share an amazing experience at this great restaurant. Thank you

From the moment we were seated, Biruk Abdeta greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome.
His knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding us through the options and providing insightful recommendations that catered perfectly to our preferences. Each dish arrived promptly and at the perfect temperature, a testament to Biruks attention to detail and coordination with the kitchen staff.
Throughout the meal, Biruk checked in at just the right moments, ensuring our dinning were Tasty and that we were satisfied with each course. His professionalism, combined with a friendly demeanor, created a delightful dining atmosphere.

Marcus Addis, located on the 47th floor of the CBE building, offers a breathtaking view of the city that is truly hard to beat. The spacious bar and dining areas are beautifully designed, with magnificent artwork and lighting that create a chic and modern atmosphere. My experience at the bar was particularly enjoyable, thanks to Yosef, the bartender, who was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The martinis we had were superb.
However, the experience was not without its downsides. The food menu is quite limited, and unfortunately, the appetizers we tried—the hummus and berbere fries—were disappointing and tasted stale.
Additionally, I had a frustrating encounter with the receptionist, Lewan. When I called ahead, I spoke in Amharic, the local language, but received an incomplete and rushed response. To my surprise, she hung up on me while I was still asking for information. I called back using my work phone and spoke in English, and this time, she was much more accommodating and bubbly. I spoke with her again as we were leaving and suggested she treat all customers equally, regardless of the language they speak. Lewan could definitely benefit from some customer service training to ensure that everyone is treated with the same level of respect and professionalism.
Overall, Marcus Addis has great potential, but there are areas that need attention to make the experience as exceptional as the view.
