Had lunch at the restaurant today with friends. The food was very good with large portions. I ordered the sizzling beef but found out they had no beef, had to change to the sizzling chicken which was good. The rice that comes with the meal was served cold, I added it to the sizzling plate to warm it up.

Good food, very traditional Ethiopian dishes tastefully and authentically cooked, lovely injera, fir fir and beef. Located at Ethiopian national museum where the world's most oldest skeleton, famously named Lucy, is preserved. This gives restaurant extra jazz and USP. There is a replica of Lucy at the entrance. Good service, smiling friendly people just like all over Ethiopia, but a little high on the prices compared with average rates in the city, perhaps because they are cashing in on 'Lucy'

After a visit to Lucy at the national museum, we had lunch at this nice place. Seating is around a courtyard that had a nice Christmas tree with decorations, it being the week of Orthodox Christmas. Delicious Ethiopian food, wide variety to choose from, well presented and good service. We ordered a chicken dish, a beef dish soaked with injera and a chicken tikka (just to be safe). All were well prepared with good portions. The chicken curry came with a chicken leg and an egg too, that was surprising. The black bread with the complimentary soup was interesting. The injeras (Ethiopian flatbreads) were soft and fluffy and they were plenty. We paid 700 ETB for the three of us without any tea, coffee, water or drinks. The toilets were clean too. One word of caution though. Even though it is well advertised throughout the restaurant that they take credit cards, do not be fooled. They will tell you that there is something wrong with the connection so do go with enough cash!

I had a delicious local lunch at the restaurant one lazy afternoon. The taste of real Ethiopian cuisine in a serene picturesque environment was part of the relaxing trip. The soup was warm and filling. And the restaurant was next door to the National Museum. A very popular tourist attraction.

Great food, beautiful entrance as you come in to the restaurant through a garden type area with plants and water, really interesting decor and lots of thought gone into the layout. We were based in a room in a group of 16 (our group) where we were looked after for the lunch. Great service, tried very hard to help us with the menu and options! the food was really delicious, Ethiopian dishes prepared very well.

We went to Lucy not because Ethiopian food but for more conventional and healthy one. As we have spent one week y Addis Ababa we wanted to try something "unspicy". We ordered Minestrone and Grilled Chicken. The soup was really tasty even though I missed the beans. Has it's particular touch which for me fixed pretty well. If you are in the mood for a vegetable soup then try it! You won't regret. The chicken was perfect! A beautiful surprise starting by presentation and ending with the vegetable flavors. If you can, try them

We have been here a couple of times and always liked it but this time the food was not that good. Alos no water in the restrooms. Not expensive but not cheep. How ever, if you want to escape Addis for a while, Lucy´s is a good spot to visit, close to the national museum.

good variety of many different dishes, therefore a great place if you wanna offer your friends/guests the option of cultural food but keep it open for them to choose something else; cultural food is stronger on the meat eater‘s side

The restaurant is really beautiful, its inside a beautiful garden. The food is amazing but a bit pricy compared to the local prices.

The food isn't great. Don't expect the description on the menu to match the food which gets delivered to your table. However, it's the best for this area of town and a nice break before or after visiting the National Museum.

The food was ok but: - so poorly maintained (e.g. no running water in the rest rooms); - charged US$1.00 per slice of pizza to take away - what a joke; - cats running around in the restaurant - Merchant Facilities not working
