While in Addis I went to this restaurant a few times,the food was always good and fresh the service was great. The menu was interesting with a fairly wide selection. I had the beef tagine, burger and a lamb sandwich as well as their breakfast, evrything tasted good and I never had any health issues

The food and service is great thankyou for the waiter called Eneyew he really treats as well. Hes #1. And 1 thing i recommend is it would be great if breakfast can be served in the room no need for additional payment if the room is with breakfast. And due to the covid it ll be great for further precaution.

My mother and I are in Addis to visit and came to The Kitchen for dinner. Our server, Daniel, was excellent and we loved him! He was able to recommend us food off the menu based on what we said we liked. Portions are filling and the lemonade drinks are great. The place has strict COVID precautions (clean and masks). Definitely coming again!

Really excellent place - decor is really cool, service excellent, imaginative menu (mix of local with a twist and western), really well presented and absolutely delicious. Good wine list too - we had some very good Rift Valley red, which was good value.
All in all, a very fun evening and an excellent dinner. We would recommend going when in Addis (obviously it is slightly more expensive, but it is worth it......)

I always look forward to my breakfast at The Kitchen simply because of the lovely welcome I receive from Selamawit (lady at the front desk at you enter the restaurant). She’s lovely and very attentive to what I’d like. By now she knows my usual order; and I appreciate so much.
Chef Hani is very pleasant and makes sure if you have a special request then it’s met! Love his Samosas and Swahili ! Thank you Biruk for the fastest service too.

I've dined at the KITCHEN multiple times before and have always been pleased with the fresh and healthful food and excellent service. But today, I was inspired to finally take the time to write a review because I'm super excited and satisfied that I chose this place to celebrate my milestone year Birthday. 😁
I had an amazing Luncheon with a Group and the KITCHEN made it it happen for us!
I appreciate that they offer both Vegan and Meat Platters (great for sharing and sampling different things as a group) so we ordered all the platters and some additional items and made a Family Style Buffet right there on our table. Everyone got to taste and enjoy some of multiple items on the menu.
Our Maitre d' Yenenesh was phenomenonal! She really took charge of our entire experience and kinda became the Hostess of my Birthday Party. We just left everything up to her and just focused on having a great time as she took the leadership role to make sure that we selected/ordered items we would all enjoy in common, she kept the flow of the different courses in a timely manner and kept our wine and drinks filled at all times. In short, we didn't have to ask for anything at anytime as she anticipated our needs and met the at the right time and in the right way. it was awesome!
I also appreciate all the other Dining Room Staff who came to check on us and also sing me a Birthday song. I love the team dynamics of the extraordinarily high calibur people the Hyatt Regency employes at every service area. The space/environment is very elegant, artistic, refreshing and inspiring
....and so is the Food
.....and so are the Staff!
I would like to thank the entire Management and Staff of the Hyatt Regency in Addis and especially the Team at the KITCHEN for making my Birthday so very special and memorable. Everyone who attended my Luncheon is raving about how great everything was! 🙏😁👌

The Chef, who happens to be off-duty was so attentive that he made sure we were seated properly by alerting the hostess when we walked in. Our waitress, Daniel was so attentive that he accommodated the specific needs of our children, to our at most satisfaction. He demonstrated Ethiopian hospitality at its best. If you happen to be in Addis and want to have a family or business dinner in great ambiance and the best service, make sure you pay a visit. We are definitely going back.

I'm a New Yorker living in Addis for work and come to the hotel about twice a week for meals and coffee and have stayed at the hotel for a few days. The Hyatt is very good in terms of Covid hygiene and general food hygiene (consistently good,throughout the two years I've been eating here I have never been sick after). The Hyatt restaurants offer a more contemporary selection than the other western chains here and a more interesting and better quality of food. Finally, the staff all are very nice and welcoming (Wegene, Daniel, and everyone). As a foreigner living and mostly working alone during the last year I truly appreciate this. Thank you!

I’ve lived in Addis for 15 months and consistently dine at The Kitchen for the quality food, atmosphere, and service. The prices are reasonable, portions generous, and you’re guaranteed a nice dining experience every time. Yodit is a particular gem at The Kitchen.

A very personal touch to a buffet breakfast option. Servers get to know you personally and the types of drinks/meals you prefer. My server, Yalemwork, was attentive topping off barista inspired local cappuccino, lattes and African milk tea in French Press.
The meal is abundant ! With a wide selection of carb overloads of fresh baked pastries including a pastry chef onsite to make you french toast, pancakes and local stuffed chapati.
Made to order omelet station is great. Missing is Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, however, it has everything else. The hot dish menus has the local favs daily and some new selections that changes every day.
Fresh fruits and cold cuts are well displayed. Would like some other fresh fruit choices and perhaps removing the eye of the pineapples. However, overall, it has a nice array of local fruits.
Two highlights to speak of:
1) Drink Station - Fresh squeezed orange, carrot, beet, watermelon, cucumber juices in bottles along with immune booster of turmeric, ginger and lemon shots. Single barista is able to manage all of the multiple orders with ease and efficiency. Kudos to Barista.
2) Personalized services and attentive care given by waitresses, namely, Yalemwork. She was amazing and responsive to my needs, gently encouraging to go for seconds or to try new dishes.

The staff at the Kitchen are all very friendly and helpful. They give everyone a friendly greeting and ask how you are.
The service is quick and courteous. They have a good understanding of the menu and can accurately explain the cultural food to foreign travelers, and their English is very good.
There are many delicious cultural dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I ate something from each menu, and I was there for breakfast for all 10 days of my stay. Henok was the usual waiter that I saw. He's always friendly and happy to see me.
The next time I'm in Addis I will be eating here again.

I had the pleasure of lunch at The Kitchen, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The ambiance was welcoming and refined, perfect for a sophisticated yet relaxed evening. The menu offered a fantastic selection of Ethiopian dishes, each crafted with creativity and precision. Every bite was a testament to the culinary expertise of the team.
A special mention goes to Berkeley, our waiter, whose service was nothing short of impeccable. He was attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our needs were met promptly. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations added a personal touch, and his warm demeanor made us feel truly valued as guests. Bereket’s professionalism elevated the entire dining experience, and we left feeling completely satisfied.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Kitchen. This is experience was made special by our server Etsub who was kind, courteous, friendly and understanding. My 2 year old son was restless and making a mess of everything but Etsub was able to constantly check in on our table and ensure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and we were pleased with the complimentary teff pancakes with avocado sauce. I plan to visit this restaurant the next time I am in Addis.

The service and food we received at the The Kitchen - Hyatt Regancy was exceptional. Yeneynesh specifically went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Due to the fully reserved seating inside for government officials, we had to sit outside. Unfortunately, there was some rain, but Yeneynesh gave all of us blankets and set up a heater to make sure we felt comfortable. The food was also delicious, I recommend anyone to come here.
