Good location and ambiance

My wife and I are usual customers at this restaurant, particularly at Kazanchis branch. We enjoy its location, ambiance, food, and services in general and frequent it mostly for our Fridays dinner. The paper steak or Indian Cuisine are great but our common favorite always remain to be the Nile Perch. So far have not encounter a bad mannered staff, on the contrary almost all those who attended us to date been very friendly and professional, though could not name them all here. Among them, however, appreciated the wonderful service of Habtamu during our recent visit, which also inspire us to give our inputs here. One observation we forwarded in many of our visits to other staff, but haven't seen any change yet, is about the carpet on the stairs leading to the upper level dinning area and WC. This area is not only dark and seem never been cleaned in general but the condition of the carpet made the passage absolutely unpleasant to eyes and gross looking. Hope management will take some action soon, while keeping up all its other wonderful efforts.

Great for cozy gatherings

Trattoria Gusto, seamlessly blends the cozy feel of a traditional trattoria with a modern, elegant design. Upon entering, you're instantly greeted by an inviting ambiance that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their mouthwatering Tagliatelle Bolognese - a true homage to the culinary traditions of Italy, rich in flavors and perfectly cooked. The Sizzling Chicken too was a revelation, cooked to perfection with a balance of flavors that kept me coming back for more. What truly made the evening special was our wonderful waiter, Habtamu. His warmth and attentiveness not only elevated our dining experience, but also epitomized the level of service you can expect at Trattoria Gusto. With no hesitation, I would highly recommend Trattoria Gusto. Whether it's for a casual dinner or a special occasion, you're guaranteed a memorable experience filled with exquisite cuisine and top-tier service.

Well my name is Meskerem Tsehaye I have been a loyal customer in trattoria gusto Addis for the last seven years. Honestly I feel like I’m home things never change meaning they have the best customer service, their cuisine is always exquisite and the vibe at night is astonishing with the jazz and everything. Every staff member is all humble and nice. But I have that someone special whom I chose to serve me, Abraham he knows what I want , he treats me gracefully & what can I say he is the best. Again thank you for everything. 🙏

this restaurant is tacky, the music is a bit too loud. nevertheless, this could be as good as it gets in Addis when it comes to Italian food. the pizza dough was authentic and probably prepared on site rather than frozen. the fritti misti was perfectly fried, although the calamari was probably frozen. AND there are options beyond Rift Valley wine, but reviewers that claim the wine list is extensive are embellishing. The Monetepulciano in price and quality is a good step up from Rift Valley Cab.

Terrible buffet! So cold no variety every dish was almost empty. I have asked one of the server if she could refill some of the empty chafer she replied that the kitchen told her there was no more food to put out. My thing is if you don’t have enough food don’t offer it to your customers or you should have a time set for your buffet. One last thing your severs need more customer service training no apology when she picked up the full Plate that I haven’t touched. The only thing that was good was the tiramisu Thank you,

Italian/chinese/indian mish mash

So this restaurant has a great location, but unfortunately the food is inedible. I had a chicken that was hard as a rock. The menu is frightening as they offer everything from italian, chinese, indian, local food. What i had had nothing to do with italian food though. The only thing that was fine was the seating outside (inside it smells like in a garlic fabric).

One of the best Restaurants in Addis Ababa. Henok the waiter who served us he deserves all the compliments from his knowledge of the menu to his professional attitude, he recommended us the dishes after carefully listening to what we were looking to eat. I was there in Kazanchis to take care of a business I seldomly do. I have already heard, of course, of your restaurant and the finger-licking dishes you serve. I find it all meeting my expectations. In addition to the delicious lunch I'm served, the friendliness and passion of the serving waiter named Worku Gebre was overwhelming. Never hesitate to pay a visit whenever I'm through Kazanchis.

This place is a great place to have each meal of the day! I enjoyed my breakfast egg with steak and cheese wrapped 😋. The waiter Muluken Terefe gave me an amazing service and he is well informed about food allergies like gluten, which is not common in Addis Ababa. I liked everything, thank you!

Perfect Italian experience

As you know I’m a trattoria gusto Addis family tonight we had the pasta night we enjoyed it to the fullest from the presentation to the chef 👩‍🍳 who served us. Our waiter Mekonen served us with the utmost respect and perfection his smile is everything we thank him and the entire staff members. Thank you as always we had a great moment.

The atmosphere was very nice, the staff that attended to me too! I really liked being there, I sat outside. I am usually suspicious of buffets, so prefer always a la carte. I have salmon pasta, it was tasty but my pasta was al dente and no one asked me how I liked it, so that was a bummer. It was missing some zing, but delicious desert. The menu is some sort of a strange mix, but I think they tried aiming for fine dining and Italian, but there are Chinese dishes, and American ones.....

I had dinner with my friends and we were served by waiter Worku Gebre starting from his welcoming smile and friendly service he gave us a good briefing on what we would enjoy in our stay. He was also well cooperative with our orders and helped us understand what we were ordering and what would be best to eat. we enjoyed our first dinner and we'll for sure visit again since we like the place food and service.

Favorite spot for good food! Especially the pasta menu never disappoints. Habtamu, our wonderful waiter tended to us with great care, and friendly service. I usually go there with friends but 10/10 recommend anyone to go there for all types of gatherings/occasions.

This place is great for a date dinner. It's private and has great ambiance. I would definitely visit again. The service was also amazing and on time. We appreciate Kebron who was our server who went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was also amazing.

Delicious dinner

Nice ambience and very friendly staff. We enjoyed the music selection as they were playing popular and 70s hits; we had the special ginger tea, I had a delicious grilled chicken with vegetables, my daughter had the lasagna and my partner had chicken Alfredo. The food was really great. It was in walking distance from Our Airbnb.
