I am in my 7th year living in Addis Ababa and Villa Verde restaurant has become one of my points of reference in the city. It has charm, good service, a full calendar of weekly events, such as live music Thursdays and exhibitions, and the most important thing of all - particularly for an Italian like me - it serves true Italian food! Quality of ingredients and attention to service by the Owners are certainly a strength. Prices are in range for a quality, international standards restaurant. Lastly, the big open spaces and green area are perfect to enjoy day and night in these Covid times...

Lovely Italian restaurant

I had the chance to eat at Villaverde with some colleagues during my last trip to Addis Ababa. The food is top quality and the atmosphere is very charming thanks to the live performances that often takes place in the venue. I would say that in overall it is a lovely place to have dinner and I strongly recommend it.

I always said the biggest problem restaurants deal with in Addis is that they try to make everyone happy. Villaverde proved me wrong! Their food is great with options ranging from Italian dishes to fast food to local cuisine, a red flag anywhere else but they really do it right! The large space lets you PICK the ambiance. There's an indoor classy restaurant, there's a big outdoor space where they show football matches, host amazing parties, and even salsa classes! My friends and I find ourselves at Villa at least twice a week, probably the only place you can go and there's ALWAYS something to do. Would give it 10 stars if I could!

A must when in Addis! Great food great ambiance

My go to restaurant if I don’t know what I feel like eating, food is yummy and never disappoints. Nice options also for vegetarians. (Order the ravioli or veggie lasagna!!!) A place with a warm vibe and lots of different events going on. Make sure to check out the monthly bazaar and live music thursdays for a headstart to the weekend - always almost a little too much fun! Villa also has the friendliest staff and skilled bartenders for cocktails:) A huge recommendation, always left happy!

Italian Restaurant !

Italian restaurant in Addis that serves tasty food and doesn't take 2 hours like most places in town. We had a business lunch, a delicious frutti di mare pasta and everything went smoothly. I saw a Tomahawk Steak on the table next to ours that looked delicious, unfortunately that is a special treat that takes a bit longer to prepare, will definitely come back to try it when i have more time.

Best restaurant in Addis

Best restaurant in town! :) the quality of the food is amazing, the gnocchi and the homemade pasta is to die for. They only use the best ingredients and you really can taste it. the ambiance is very welcoming and the staff is very friendly. Their brunch on Sunday’s with the bazar is a great experience. 5 from 5! It’s a must in Addis :-)

I had such high expectations. Unfortunately the experience was not as stellar as I had hoped for. The pizza and focaccia are not something to come back to (next time I will try something else). Waiters were pleasant. A suggestion: menus need to be cleaned a bit as they had food stains.

Pleasant setting and good food

Very well received in this restaurant which is located on a cobbled street in Addis Ababa. The boss received us and recommended dishes. The focaccia was very good. The dishes ordered were excellent and served quickly. Meat ravioli, vegetable ravioli and spaghetti arrabiata Everything was very good and the crème caramel delicious.

Lovely, classy place with many tables inside or outside. You can stay away from the music or close to it, whatever you wish for. The food is typical italian, great choice on the menu. I loved the meat ravioli. I visited different times already.

Good food and great night out

I simply love this place in Addis. It's nice for a cozy Italian dinner (not the best Italian food in Addis, but do try the homemade pasta, it's super delicious). But the best thing with villaverde is the bar-scene. Great cocktails, livemusic (perhaps only Thursdays??), nice people and atmosphere. Can definitely recommend.

Amazing Italian oasis in the heart of Addis

So many good things to say about this place. Amazing homemade pizza pasta, and even gluten free! Enjoy the food In a lovely warm outside environment with amazing drinks and service. And then Finnish with a delicious tirimusu or chocolate fondue. Will continue coming here.

Villa is a very homie vibe!!!! A must visit in Addis. Food is to die for and drinks are on point. Good for football, salsa and Thursday special parties. The service is a little slow but they make up for that with their friendliness.

Amazing location! I think it's one of the biggest venue in Addis, without considering Hotels. Came for a lunch with a friend, best pasta in Addis for sure. The Carbonara was super good..
