This restaurant is a really good place to eat breakfast with your friens and family, you can also go alone and you don't feel alone.

My friends and I had one of the best dinners we had in Marrakech, the food was delicious, , but above all the attention we received was incredible, and the place was so cozy.

Good experience at color Safra. A nice terrace much quieter than the famous Jema El Fna square. We had Berber and Grand Mere Tajines. Both were excellent. It took quite a while to get the food, plates were cold and starter came together with mains....Son the service could be more professional but the nice hospitality compensated for this.More

Amazing food in a great setting and a nice atmosphere, very hospitable staff who are inviting but not pushy. Beautiful location close to the big square in Medina, with a quiet roofterras for escaping the crowds.

Enjoyed the unusual drinks. Hot water, lemon, ginger and pepper and also the Berber infusion. Food ok, nothing wow. Maybe we were just not that hungry. Surprised to find I’d been charged an extra 60dm for table crudités on the bill, when other places give...them for free. The cashier said they were not included. Had I known I would have skipped the wizened olives.More

Safra is off Ben Saleh square and close to my riad. I went there twice, it was so good. I wanted to escape from tagines so I had steak and chips, which was delicious, with jus on the side, and lamb chops and potatoes, equally...good. The setting on a rooftop is delightful and service attentive. More people should go to this restaurant!More

Our final night of the holiday and the only bad meal we had! Staff were rude and inefficient, bread was stale, chips weren’t cooked and meat (steak and chicken) was chewy. Also they don’t serve alcohol. The only saving grace was the pretty terrace, but...don’t be fooled!More

We picked this place as it had good reviews. It was ok. We ordered hummus, 3 different types, it was quite bland. I the had salmon skewers, which were lovely and my friend had lamb, which again she said was nice. What let's this place...down is the service. The waitress was so moody, I even smiled at her and got nothing back. The woman at reception was a bit more friendly.More

This review is for Hotel/Riad and Restaurant as we stayed and eat here as well.

There are so many Riad or Hotel to choose around Marrakech and We are lucky, I’ve chosen this Riad/Hotel.

First of all ,I have a separate review for all First...timer in Marrakech or Morocco in my other thread here so please do check to help you of your stay.

We spent 6 nights at Color Safra and it was the best decision we have had to be here .

I never experienced such a lovely couple or owners of a Hotel/Riad that are so accommodating and helpful.

I was contacted by Gal-la to acknowledge our booking or stay and explained if we need taxi pick up from the Airport .

Gal-la speaks English, French ,Spanish and her Husband whose name is Angel.

I arranged with Gal-la for a pick up,We were collected from the Airport and a guy outside the airport was waiting for us ,please note you have to get out of the airport not inside the Airport who has a license to collect inside but our driver is from outside .

We arrived in Riad along the narrow streets of Marrakech and Gal-la and Angel welcome us and shows our room ,since we are staying longer we were offered to stay to other Riad near the hotel and it was so clean and quiet area and we are the sole occupants of the whole Riad with 4 bed rooms,in the hotel it was also lovely but we chose to move to other Riad as we are staying a bit longer in Marrakech.

Our Riad was cleaned every day,a water was given to us every day and Gal-la will contact us or update if all is well us.

The RESTAURANT in the rooftop is something to relax with, they serve food everyday, breakfast as per your request time or hot time you will be available for breakfast ,as this will be served fresh in time for your arrival each morning, we also have dinner here every night and they serve Catalan/Spanish/Moroccan cuisine and really enjoyed it so much.

In relation to food I enjoyed the Moroccan salad, chicken wings, fried squids, canelloni stuffed chicken ,Tajin bereber or leg of lamb, chicken wok with rice ,Veal steak,Granmas tanjin ,all desserts and fresh juices. The will give you free bread and crunchy type of biscochos with eggplant hummus type not so sure what it was called.

Since ,I've cancelled all of our tour from other operator, I asked Gal-la for her recommendation of a tour guide in the city of Marrakech to get our grip around the city as its our first time, then Gal-la also arrange our tour to Sahara desert ( I have separate review for this on the other thread) this is one of the best trip I have had during our stay in Morroco and Gal-la also arrange a Hammam /Massage nearby (please see as well my review to other thread here).I trust all of our activities to Gal-la and she never failed to deliver it ,our stay in the hotel was something I wont forget ,The couple are so great and lovely as they treat us like family and it is something special that deserve the best of all accolades.

Now I understand why they have 5 star here ,I didn’t expect much, but our expectations were given at par by Gal-la and Angel.

Thank you as well to the lady who cleans our room every day, those ladies in the restaurant in the evening and morning, the security and other staff who help us and keep us safe at all times,Thank you so much and will definitely see you all again in due time. Also note ,there is a reviewer from Belgium here they don't serve drinks ,logically you are in a Muslim country and it's hard to get a license to operate and service drinks so don't expect here if you are in other Muslim country you will not be expected to get back home. Also ,dessert here are serve homemade not from any instant or refrigerate food .More

Color saffra, very good. We sat on the nice roof terrace. As a starter we had the chicken wings, excellent, with a very tasty sauce. Also harira soup, nice. As main course a tajine with chicken and eggplant, good. They do not serve alcohol. We...had a hot drink with lemon, cloves, pepper and ginger, nice, although a bit too sour if you do not want to use sugar. A total of 234 Dirham around 23 euro tip included. A bit high in price, but worth it. We went back a second time. We both then had the chicken wings, again very good. We shared the potatoes with aioli, very tasty. We ended with the flan Catalan with coffee ice-cream, a real treat. This time we had a big bottle of still mineral water. Total bill 240 Dirham, 24 euro tip included, again well worth it. Friendly service, but slow and not pro-active. Clean toilet on the roof terrace.More

So glad we stumbled upon this place. The sitting upstairs on the terrace is beautiful and peaceful. The food was incredible. The lamb tagine was to die for so was the vegetable curry couscous. Highly recommended!!!

After wandering through the crazy (but fun) Medina we stumbled across this place and I’m so glad we did. Having been greeted with cheery smiles we were shown to a table on the roof terrace. This was beatifully decorated and very welcoming. A quick glance...at the menu and choices were made - I had a duck and plum pancake and my wife had an advacado and nut salad. Both dishes were sizeable and very tasty. Next up tagliatelle with veal balls and chicken cannelloni. Good portions again and very tasty. To finish we had carrot cake and banana ‘pencils’ - banana wrapped in pancake. A lovely way to round off the meal. Alcohol was not available but this wasn’t a surprise and really didn’t impact the experience. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that 3 courses and a couple of soft drinks each came in at 565 Dirhams - approximately £45. For food this good, in such a lovely setting with great service it was an absolute bargain.More
